‘Proud of President Trump’: Nikki Haley says Soleimani death ‘should be applauded’

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley praised President Trump's decision to kill Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani and Popular Mobilization Units leader Abu Mahdi al Muhandis during a Thursday night strike in Iraq.
"Qassem Soleimani was an arch terrorist with American blood on his hands," tweeted Haley. "His demise should be applauded by all who seek peace and justice. Proud of President Trump for doing the strong and right thing. @realDonaldTrump."
Haley, 47, who served in the Trump administration for two years before resigning in 2018, maintains a cordial relationship with the president. She quashed rumors that her communications with Trump were strenuous in her 2019 book With All Due Respect: Defending America with Grit and Grace.
