Google’s top managers now want to ‘be evil’ — can the workers stop them?

So much for “don’t be evil.”
As The Post reported Friday, ex-Google executive Ross LaJeunesse told the world in interviews and a Medium post that company honchos had sidelined him for pushing attention to human rights at the expense of profits.
LaJeunesse, who left Google in April, is now running for the Democratic nomination to oppose Maine Sen. Susan Collins in the fall. Yet his whistleblowing is clearly more than a publicity stunt.

For now, Google still has a minimal presence in China, though employees fear the Google Center for Artificial Intelligence in Beijing may give the regime access to cutting-edge tech that it’s sure to abuse.
But how long will Google’s workforce remain determined and able to keep it from serving the enemies of freedom?
