4th of July Movies on Netflix to Watch and Feel Patriotic Today

The big city fireworks displays might be cancelled this year, and the backyard barbecues pared down in size. That trip to the beach or lake house might have to wait, and there’s no excursion to the ballpark, at least not until later this month. Yes, it’s a Fourth of July in the year 2020 is like no other, but social distancing doesn’t have to keep us six feet away from all the fun. You want rockets’ red glare? Ohh, we’ve got plenty of rockets for you. Bombs bursting in air? You’d better believe it, pal. I’ll give you proof through the night — proof that there’s plenty to stay up watching all night. Because, hey: it may not have all the other stuff we’d hope for from the birthday of the good ole USA this year, but at least it doesn’t fall on a weeknight.
Stick a sparkler in a cupcake and call it a party, because we’ve got you covered this Independence Day, with a list of the best movies available right this minute on Netflix that can scratch your patriotic itch — with almost no risk of blowing your hand off.
