Interest in the new documentary on first lady Melania Trump is so strong that producers are working on opening overflow theaters, “Seen, Heard & Whispered” has been told.

The film, which tracks Mrs. Trump over the 20 days leading up to President Trump’s second swearing-in last year, opens in 5,000 theaters worldwide on Friday.

A premiere at the Trump-Kennedy Center on Thursday night was expected to draw the first couple and all but two members of the president’s Cabinet. Intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard and Energy Secretary Chris Wright had previous obligations.

Executive Producer Marc Beckman told “Seen, Heard & Whispered” the film is an unprecedented look at Mrs. Trump and her world. He said it will give the public a view into rooms and spaces never seen by the public.

“I want them to walk away with an idea of how hard our first lady works,” Mr. Beckman said. “She has shifted her focus. It’s mission-oriented.”

He said he expects the documentary to have a wide audience, from the fashion world to those interested in geopolitics.

He said it should resonate in particular with young women. He knocked the feminist movement for leading some women to miss out on family and the joy that comes with that.

OPINION:

Democrats, so committed to protecting violent criminals and fraudsters, have been laying the groundwork for more cover-ups to come.

Let’s check out California, where Gov. Gavin Newsom openly invited illegal migrants to arrive and enjoy welfare benefits like free health care. The strategy, at our expense, is simple. Hook illegals into government payouts, shield them from deportation and they’ll vote for Democrats.

In April 2024, the state audit ripped Mr. Newsom’s handling of billion-dollar programs for the homeless, whose ranks have surged during his reign. (Got that? Illegal migrants and homeless have surged while average Americans leave California.)

The report, “Homelessness in California,” said an “unsheltered” population — sidewalk and tent dwellers — has nearly doubled since 2013, from 73,000 to 123,000. Overall, homelessness went from 119,000 to 181,000.

But the cobbled-together network of state overseers doesn’t track the taxpayer money, according to the report. Over a five-year period, $24 billion is unaccounted for. And the state does not assess whether any of 15 separate programs actually works.

The Democratic-led legislature quickly approved a bipartisan bill as a fix. What did Mr. Newsom, who wants to be our next president, do? He vetoed it, arguing there was another bill to address the problem. He might have calculated that the law was too intrusive and could spur more negative reports about him. The Trump team alleges California overlooks billions in fraud.

“Gov. Newsom had an opportunity to do what is right and hold his agencies accountable for our state’s failed response to homelessness,” said Republican Assemblyman Josh Hoover.

Fourteen months later, in December, the state auditor did a follow-up. Mr. Newsom’s bureaucracy had done virtually nothing to fulfill the one bill the governor touted and signed. Or, in the audit-style language of the report, the state “has demonstrated limited progress toward completing the required planning and coordination necessary to make [the new law’s] oversight reporting possible.”

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis is slamming Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal over his push to remove Newsmax from New York City taxicab screens, calling it censorship and an attack on consumer choice.

In a post on X Saturday, the Staten Island and Brooklyn Republican criticized Hoylman-Sigal for what she described as an effort to "over-regulate" taxi-screen provider Curb and "censor" Newsmax, which she noted is carried "in 60 million homes and is a trusted news source."

"If a cab rider doesn’t want to watch, they can turn it off but that should be THEIR choice, not a leftie politician’s," said Malliotakis.

Newsmax is pushing back sharply against the call to remove the network from the city taxi screens.

The sudden downfall of Zhang Youxia, a vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC), has fueled speculation among analysts of an escalating power struggle at the heart of the Chinese communist regime.

Zhang and fellow CMC member Liu Zhenli were officially announced as being under investigation on Jan. 24, an extraordinary move given Zhang’s status as one of the most senior figures in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Within hours of the announcement on Jan. 24, the PLA’s official newspaper published a sharply worded editorial accusing Zhang and Liu of undermining the responsibilities of the CMC chairman and of threatening the Party’s control over the military—language widely interpreted as signaling political disloyalty rather than routine corruption.

President Donald Trump on Thursday signaled that the administration will not make any changes to the immigration enforcement efforts in Minneapolis.

He told a reporter that “we have to find out all of the fraud” occurring in Minnesota, responding to a question about the operation in Minnesota at a Kennedy Center event. Trump also said that border czar Tom Homan is “doing a great job.”

“We have to get rid of the criminals” and remove illegal immigrant “criminals out of our country,” Trump said. “From that standpoint, nothing is going to change.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Keir Starmer of the dangers of doing business with China, after the British prime minister signed a series of agreements with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Starmer on Thursday said he wanted a “more sophisticated relationship” with China, and signed deals to lower tariffs on Scottish whisky exports to China and allow British citizens to visit the country visa-free for up to 30 days.

When reporters asked Trump about the UK–China deals, he said, “Well, it’s very dangerous for them to do that.”

On Wednesday, the FBI seized 700 boxes of Fulton County, Georgia’s 2020 presidential election records.

Last month, Fulton County officials admitted they didn’t properly verify 315,000 votes in the contentious 2020 election, where Joe Biden won the state by a slim 11,779 margin.

County attorney Ann Brumbaugh told the state’s elections board in a Dec. 9, 2025, meeting that the county didn’t properly sign tabulator tapes after the election, which was in violation of state regulations. Tabulator tapes are printed receipts from tabulation machines used to verify that the number of voters matches the number of votes.

A federal jury in San Francisco has convicted former Google software engineer Ding Linwei of stealing confidential information about Google’s artificial intelligence (AI) computing systems and using it to support China-based ventures.

Ding, 38, was found guilty on seven counts of economic espionage and seven counts of theft of trade secrets following an 11-day trial, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday. Prosecutors said the stolen information detailed how Google designs, builds, and operates the supercomputing data centers used to train and run large AI models.

“The theft and misuse of advanced artificial intelligence technology for the benefit of the People’s Republic of China threatens our technological edge and economic competitiveness,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Sanjay Virmani said in the Jan. 29 press release. U.S. Attorney Craig H. Missakian said in the same news release that the verdict shows “the theft of this valuable technology will not go unpunished.”

On Thursday, the Donroe Doctrine was again exercised in typical fashion, as the White House announced another tranche of actions against communist Cuba. Cuba has lost a major source of oil now that Nicolás Maduro is looking at American jail bars from the wrong side, and now President Trump is turning the screws a little tighter on Cuba.

Looks like the wheel finally turned for former CNN media personality Don Lemon.

According to reports:

Former cable news anchor Don Lemon was arrested last night, multiple sources with direct knowledge tell CBS News. A source familiar says a grand jury was empaneled on this yesterday. FBI and HSI were involved in the arrest, sources say.

It was not immediately clear what charges he would be facing. CBS News has reached out to Lemon's representatives and the Department of Justice for comment.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has revoked the privileges of senior Iranian officials and their family members to be in the United States, the Department of State said in a Jan. 29 post on X.

“As the people of Iran continue to fight for their basic rights, [Rubio] took action this week to revoke the privilege of Iranian senior officials and their family members to be in the United States. Those who profit from the Iranian regime’s brutal oppression are not welcome to benefit from our immigration system,” said the post. 

Iran saw widespread public protests break out in late December, which were initially triggered by people’s discontent with high inflation, rising living costs, and the crash in the value of Iran’s currency.

Back on Christmas Eve, the Trump administration announced it had sanctioned five European political figures, preventing them from entering the United States due to their involvement with the "global censorship-industrial complex."

The Trump administration said these individuals "advanced censorship crackdowns by foreign states—in each case targeting American speakers and American companies."

It's not the first time the Europeans and other Western nations have waged war on America and free speech. Elon Musk and X have been especially irksome, with the U.K., Canada, and Australia considering bans on the platform.

But absent an outright ban, the EU seems content to fine X for the most bizarre reasons, including Donald Duck.

Talks between the U.S. and Iran to curb its nuclear and missile programs have ended with Iran obstinately refusing to agree to restrictions on both weapons systems.

This was to be expected. Iran sees both programs as critical to national sovereignty. Their nuclear program is evidence of their "great power" status. Their missile program challenges Israel, although recent history would suggest Israel can knock most Iranian missiles out of the sky before they do any damage.

Both programs are seen as non-negotiable pillars of security and sovereignty for the Iranian state. In short, Iran simply couldn't give either of those programs up.

This almost certainly means that Donald Trump will launch a devastating strike as soon as he has deployed the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group to the Middle East, warning that a potential attack would be "far worse" than previous strikes.

Representatives from Israel and Saudi Arabia have been in Washington all week, talking to their American counterparts. Israel has brought potential targeting information for the U.S., including targeting individuals and institutions responsible for the horrific crackdown on protesters.

Meanwhile, the Saudis are looking to head off any strike at all. They fear a regional war if Iran decides to unleash a massive attack on Israel, U.S. bases, and other U.S. friends in the region. Iran possesses about 3,000 missiles capable of hitting Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents executed a search warrant at Fulton County's elections office in Georgia on Wednesday. We're now getting a glimpse of what was targeted and what was seized in a search reportedly related to the 2020 presidential election.

The search warrant included a list of "particular things" that were to be seized during the raid. The document specifies that "all physical ballots from the 2020 general election," ballot images, tabulator tapes, and "all voter rolls" are to be targeted.

The warrant, signed by federal magistrate judge Catherine Salinas, states that an affidavit from a special agent about "concealed" property on the premises of the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center "establishes probable cause to search or seize" the property.

It further states that the material "constitutes evidence of the commission of a criminal offense" and that it had allegedly been "used as the means of committing a criminal offense."

President Donald Trump on Jan. 28 shared newly released video footage showing Alex Pretti in a violent confrontation with federal agents in Minneapolis 11 days before he was fatally shot during a separate immigration enforcement operation, amid ongoing political and public scrutiny of the shooting.

The video, shared by Trump on his Truth Social platform, was published on Jan. 28 by digital outlet The News Movement and was filmed several miles from the location where Pretti was involved in a separate violent encounter with federal agents on Jan. 24, during which he was fatally shot.

Representatives for Pretti’s family confirmed to multiple media outlets that the man depicted in the Jan. 13 video is Pretti.

Commentary

On Jan. 20, Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli—two of China’s highest-ranking military leaders—were found absent from the opening of a study session for provincial- and ministerial-level officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Zhang is a vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and a member of the CCP’s top decision-making body Politburo. Liu is a member of the CMC and is the chief of staff of the CMC’s Joint Staff Department.

Four days after their absence, the CCP’s Ministry of National Defense announced that both were under investigation for “serious violations of discipline and law.” Such a quick move broke with the CCP’s usual practice of keeping the fate of disappeared senior officials in secrecy for long periods of time. Coming at the start of the new year, it also unexpectedly shattered the political stalemate that Zhongnanhai had been struggling to maintain.

Tech mogul Elon Musk is ready to use his financial might and large megaphone to help Republicans win the upcoming midterm elections.

Musk, who six months ago had a falling out with President Donald Trump, recently made a $10 million donation to support Republican Kentucky Senate candidate Nate Morris.

The GOP is hopeful he will help them maintain their majorities in both houses of Congress, Politico reported.

Musk donated $10 million to a Republican super PAC aimed at preserving the House and Senate majorities.

The tech CEO has reconciled with Trump and has used his bully pulpit on X, which he owns, to call on Senate Republicans to pass the SAVE Act, which would prevent noncitizens from voting and restrict mail-in voting.

"America is toast if the radical left wins," Musk wrote on X this month.

"They will open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud. Won’t be America anymore," Musk said.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents were spotted searching the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center, the county's central election facility, reportedly in connection with matters related to the 2020 presidential election.

The action comes just one week after President Trump, speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, predicted that prosecutions were imminent over what he described as the "rigged" election.

Fox News Digital reports that "agents were seen entering" the Election Hub, something they describe as "a new facility that state officials opened in 2023 that was designed to streamline their election processes."

A post on X further indicated the FBI was "executing a search warrant."

The outlet notes that while it "was not immediately clear what the FBI agents were investigating," sources have advised them that "the probe is related to the 2020 election."

RedState reached out to FBI Director Kash Patel's office regarding the matter. A spokesperson declined to comment but said they were "not waving off" the report.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Tuesday suggested that the Trump administration might take more aggressive action to help the people of Iran amid the government’s brutal crackdown on nationwide protests.

During an appearance with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Graham praised Trump’s approach to Iran, calling him “Reagan plus.” He said the president is “a man of peace, but not to be trifled with.”

The senator said Trump sent a message to those protesting in Iran to “keep protesting, help is on the way.”

Graham pointed out that the Iranian regime “is the largest state sponsor of terrorism” and that “they killed probably 30,000 of their people.”

The lawmaker then stated, “Help will be on the way. I’m not going to say any more.”

Graham then pointed out that “the Mullahs in Iran are now trying to reach Donald Trump and make some last-minute deal.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio slammed Democrats before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Wednesday pointing out which countries actually opposed the raid on Nicolás Maduro, and highlighting that the rest of the Western Hemisphere welcomed the U.S. for ousting a dictator without sparking a wider conflict.

"But our anticipation is that we are going to be able to work cooperatively with them [Venezuela] because its in their interest and ours," Rubio said. "But I will point out this, after this operation happened, look at the people who criticized it. China, Russia, Iran, Hamas, these are the people who were upset about this raid and what we did. And I can tell you that in many countries in the Western Hemisphere, there was great pleasure in the fact that Maduro was removed, and it didn't involve an all out war or an invasion."

Tariffs are critical to President Trump’s fiscal policies and efforts to redirect growth toward manufacturing.

Depending on which tax cuts and additional spending initiatives lapse or are extended, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will add $340 billion to $470 billion annually to the federal deficit through 2034.

Mr. Trump, relying on authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and provisions of the Trade Act, has raised average tariffs on imports from 2.3% to 17%.

OPINION:


Secretary Kristi Noem has been an effective, strong, determined and unrelenting leader at the Department of Homeland Security — and this is why Democrats want her gone.

And this is why Republicans need to coalesce around her and refuse to bow to pressures from Democrats to have her ousted. Yes, Noem serves at the pleasure of President Trump. But Trump is not immune to pressures from his own party; to pressures from the political world.

This is no time for politics, petty or otherwise. The future of our nation’s national security is at stake. If Democrats win on Noem — if Republicans cave on Noem — then Democrats will use and exploit her ouster as fuel to the fire they’ve lit to burn the entire MAGA and America First movement.

Remember: Democrats don’t quit. They only dig in deeper. To them, existence is all about politics; they are the party of anti-God. They are the party of rebellion and wickedness and mayhem and deceit and death. They are the party of collectivists; they oppose all-things-individualist, which sets them in direct opposition to America’s founding principles.

 “GOP on defense over Noem’s future as Congress nears shutdown deadline,” The Hill wrote in a headline.

“A growing number of Senate Democrats are calling for Noem to be ousted,” casting doubts on the prospect that they would agree to any concessions from President Trump to avoid a shutdown at the end of this week if Noem remains in charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement,” The Hill wrote.

Democrats say it’s because of the fatal shootings by ICE of two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis.

Rubio: 'Corrupt' Venezuelan Regime Won't Stay in Power

Secretary of State Marco Rubio spent much of his testimony Wednesday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee reassuring senators that the United States is not at war with Venezuela and is committed to what he described as three pillars: stability, recovery, and a transition to democracy.

That, he said, includes no long-term plan to leave the remnants of the "corrupt" Nicolas Maduro regime — namely sworn-in successor Delcy Rodriguez — in place without a new democratic process.

"In the long term, by no means is our policy to leave in place something permanent that's as corrupt as you've described," Rubio told Ranking Member Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., in his hearing.

Rubio left open the possibility of future military action in Venezuela if Rodriguez does not act responsibly but stopped short of committing to a timetable for the regime to work toward a new democratic election in the next "three, four, five" months.

President Donald Trump said Cuba is “very close to failing” on Tuesday, according to an alert transmitted on major news wires quoting Trump speaking to reporters at the White House.

Trump did not elaborate on the comment, but it reflects longstanding criticism by Trump and his administration of Cuba’s communist government and its economic system, according to multiple White House statements since his return to office in January.

Cuban leaders have repeatedly rejected claims that the government is failing, with President Miguel Díaz-Canel and senior officials blaming U.S. sanctions for the island’s economic crisis and arguing that Washington is attempting to “suffocate” Cuba economically, according to recent public statements by the Cuban presidency and the Foreign Ministry.

Cuba is facing its most severe economic crisis in decades, marked by shortages of food, fuel, and medicine, and the country routinely experiences rolling blackouts, according to acknowledgments by Cuban officials and reporting by international aid organizations.

The United States is officially out of the Paris Agreement, a legally binding international treaty in which 195 signatory nations pledged to reduce CO2 emissions to control global temperatures.

President Donald Trump announced America’s withdrawal one year ago, stating in Executive Order 14162 that such agreements “do not reflect our country’s values or our contributions to the pursuit of economic and environmental objectives” and that they “steer American taxpayer dollars to countries that do not require, or merit, financial assistance in the interests of the American people.”

Trump has been a strong advocate of increasing America’s energy production, with particular emphasis on oil, gas, coal, and nuclear energy. Trump stated upon taking office in 2025 that it was “in the national interest to unleash America’s affordable and reliable energy and natural resources” to meet the rapidly growing demand for energy due to, among other things, the rise of artificial intelligence and the proliferation of data centers.

Efforts to disrupt federal law enforcement in Minnesota have united individuals and organizations associated with the mainstream Democratic Party with self-described “communist” and “socialist” activists, a Washington Examiner review of political emails and social media posts has found.

In recent weeks, mainstream Democrats have sent messages to their supporters via email and social media, enticing them to either donate money to groups staging protests in Minneapolis or to join them personally in challenging law enforcement. Far-left groups, including avowed communists, are taking a leading role in organizing these same demonstrations.

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he continues to have confidence in Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and does not plan to ask her to step down despite mounting scrutiny following a fatal shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis and a subsequent reshuffling of immigration enforcement leadership in Minnesota.

"I think she's done a very good job," Trump said as he departed the White House. "The border is totally secure."

Asked directly by a reporter whether Noem would resign or be forced out of her Cabinet post, Trump replied, "No."

The Treasury Department announced Monday that it is canceling all contracts with consulting giant Booz Allen Hamilton, citing the firm’s link to a massive data breach that led to the leak of President Donald Trump’s tax returns to the press.

Treasury has 31 separate contracts with Booz Allen Hamilton that will be cancelled, totaling roughly $4.8 million in annual spending and $21 million in overall obligations. Between 2018 and 2020, Booz Allen Hamilton employee Charles Edward Littlejohn stole and leaked the confidential tax returns and return information of hundreds of thousands of taxpayers, including Trump.

“President Trump has entrusted his cabinet to root out waste, fraud, and abuse, and canceling these contracts is an essential step to increasing Americans’ trust in government,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in a statement. “Booz Allen failed to implement adequate safeguards to protect sensitive data, including the confidential taxpayer information it had access to through its contracts with the Internal Revenue Service.” (RELATED: Here’s A List Of Delays And Waste By Defense Contractors Meeting With Hegseth)
