EXCLUSIVE: Republicans File Amicus Brief To Invalidate J6 Committee’s ‘Evidence’ Against Steve Bannon

House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk intends to file an amicus brief Wednesday with the Supreme Court and also file a resolution in the House that would invalidate the Jan. 6 Select Committee’s report against former White House Chief Strategist Bannon, the Daily Caller has first learned.
Loudermilk states that House rules required the Jan. 6 Select Committee to consult with the “Ranking Member of the Minority” to take a deposition, which was not possible as there was no Republican Ranking Member on the Select Committee. The Jan. 6 Select Committee held Bannon in contempt for “failing to appear for a deposition” which the Select Committee could not conduct because there was no ranking member to notify, Loudermilk’s office told the Caller.
His office said installing former Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney to be the Vice Chair of the committee does not satisfy the legal requirements that the Select Committee would consult with the Ranking Member. The Vice Chair is not the ranking member and Cheney was selected by former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Loudermilk’s office told the Caller.
Loudermilk’s House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight is also working on legislation to be introduced in the near future that will be “nullifying the Jan. 6 Select Committee’s work,” the Caller has also first learned.

Barack Obama famously (or infamously) once said of Joe Biden, "Never underestimate Joe's ability to f**k things up." Whether they love or hate Obama, the American people are finding out that truer words were never spoken. Inflation, food, and gas prices have Americans struggling mightily daily, and homeownership is virtually out of reach for young people. Add to that a wide-open southern border, soaring crime rates, and the world on fire. Yep, Joe Biden is certainly doing a bang-up job. There are plenty of Democrats who have a healthy case of buyer's remorse when it comes to Joe Biden's presidency, but it is worse than that.
Is Joe Biden incompetent enough to tank the entire Democrat party?
Currently, Joe Biden is losing every traditional Democrat voting bloc. An April Wall Street Journal poll showed Donald Trump up significantly with black men in seven key swing states by as much as 30 points. If those numbers hold, it could be something not seen by Republicans in decades. Hispanic voters are also becoming disillusioned with Joe Biden and the Democrats. A March New York Times/Siena College poll showed Hispanic support for Trump at 46 percent and Biden at 40 percent. Women, especially single women, have also been traditionally Democrat voters. While the female vote will be close in 2024, a KFF survey of female voters showed that Republican women are a bit more enthusiastic about voting at 53 percent than Democrat women at 44 percent.

Whether they love or hate Obama, the American people are finding out that truer words were never spoken. The gag order imposed on former President Donald Trump by New York Judge Juan Merchan in the case brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been partially lifted. The change comes three weeks after a stacked New York City jury found Trump guilty on 34 felony bookkeeping violations, which attorneys plan to appeal at sentencing on July 11. Trump can now speak about witnesses and jurors, but not prosecutors, court staff or their families until sentencing. Despite the trial being long over, the gag order has stayed in place.
Throughout the trial Trump was subject to the gag order while witnesses for the prosecution, including disgraced lawyer Michael Cohen, were free to speak about the case. Trump was forbidden from defending himself against claims made inside the courtroom and on social media. Requests to lift the gag order were repeatedly rejected by Merchan.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday Special Counsel Jack Smith requested a federal judge in Florida issue a gag order on Trump as he pursues the case pertaining to classified documents being handled and stored at Mar-a-Lago.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that he's "all in" to serve under a potential second Trump Administration.
Speaking with Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday on a wide range of issues, when asked if he would serve in a potential second term of former President Donald Trump, Pompeo replied, "100%. If I get a chance to serve and to make a difference and try to help this country that's been so great to me, I am all in, Hugh."
Pompeo told Hewitt that much of the chaos around the globe stems from the Biden administration projecting weakness and stressed they have insisted on telling their adversaries what they "won't do," which "emboldens the bad guys."
"This is how you lose deterrence. It's how we lost, you know, 1,000 Israelis and a bunch of Americans on October 7. It's how we ended up with the disaster in Afghanistan. When you're constantly reminding your adversaries of the things you won't do, and reminding them that you are so fearful of escalation that you may not even help your friends in their most dire time, this is a bad recipe for the security of the American people," Pompeo said.

Dr. Ben Carson told Newsmax on Tuesday that Joe Biden's presidential campaign won't agree to a drug test ahead of Thursday's debate even though it would be "helpful to allay" concerns that Americans have about the sitting president.
Carson joined "The National Report" to talk about Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump's call for drug tests for each of the candidates. At issue for Trump and Republicans is what, exactly, Biden will be on to boost his energy level for the 90-minute debate in prime time.
Former White House physician Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, has also called for before and after drug testing.
"They're no more likely to do a drug test than they are to do a mental status test. I don't think they're anxious to know the results of such a thing," Carson told show host Emma Rechenberg. "So no, they're not going to do that. Would it be helpful? Of course it would be helpful because it would allay some of the anxieties and concerns that people have. But for them [the Biden campaign], it's not about that. It's about maintaining power."

PARIS — Staging a massive international sporting event such as the Olympic Games is more than enough of a summer project for most countries, but French President Emmanuel Macron is risking chaos and uncertainty in the halls of power and on the streets with his call for snap parliamentary elections before the world gathers in Paris next month.
Although some clear favorites have emerged for medals in swimming, track and field, and gymnastics, political handicappers say no one is sure of the outcome before the parliamentary vote begins Sunday. The far-right National Rally (NR) is leading the polls after dominating European elections earlier this month.
“June 30 could be the second wave of the tsunami,” National Rally party chief Marine Le Pen told French newspaper Le Monde in an interview recently. “The first wave is strong; the second will carry everything.”

And just like that, the whole reason Joe Biden ran for president goes down the drain.
One of President Biden’s most ardent left-wing peddlers of disinformation and conspiracy theories has finally recanted the single most important lie of Mr. Biden’s long, dishonest career.
In 2016, Mr. Biden was finished. He had been drummed out of presidential politics numerous times for lying. Former President Barack Obama successfully shunted him to the side at the end of his term, realizing the mistake he had made in picking Mr. Biden as vice president in the first place.
To any outside observer, Mr. Biden’s career in politics was over. But he had one more big lie to tell.
In 2019, he announced he was running for president against Donald Trump because, he said, Mr. Trump had embraced racist neo-Nazis during a violent clash in Charlottesville, Virginia, two years earlier during Mr. Trump’s first year in office.
“That’s when we heard the words of the president of the United States that stunned the world and shocked the conscience of this nation,” Mr. Biden said when he announced his campaign for the presidency. “He said there were, quote, ‘some very fine people on both sides.’”
Of course, anyone paying attention knew this was a lie. The conflict began as a protest over a statue in a public park between people who wanted the statue torn down and those who wanted the statue protected as a monument to history. Mr. Trump said there were “good people” on both sides of that debate and went out of his way to explicitly condemn the wacko neo-Nazis who crashed the protest.
“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the White nationalists,” Mr. Trump said at the time, “because they should be condemned totally.”
Still, Mr. Biden repeated the lie because it was useful to his political career. He said Mr. Trump’s manufactured statement inspired him to run for president.
“In that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime,” he said. “I wrote at the time they were in the battle for the soul of this nation. Well, that’s even more true today.”
Of course, the media — ever desperate to spread lies about Mr. Trump and prop up Mr. Biden’s campaign — have run with the conspiracy theory ever since. They are even willing to drag into their dishonest political conspiracy theories an innocent woman named Heather Heyer, who was run over and killed in Charlottesville after the protest.
Even after Mr. Biden became president, the political press kept their lying drumbeat going.

The left turns on Biden 'Fact checker' finally admits media lied for him since 2019

And just like that, the whole reason Joe Biden ran for president goes down the drain.
One of President Biden’s most ardent left-wing peddlers of disinformation and conspiracy theories has finally recanted the single most important lie of Mr. Biden’s long, dishonest career.
In 2016, Mr. Biden was finished. He had been drummed out of presidential politics numerous times for lying. Former President Barack Obama successfully shunted him to the side at the end of his term, realizing the mistake he had made in picking Mr. Biden as vice president in the first place.
To any outside observer, Mr. Biden’s career in politics was over. But he had one more big lie to tell.
In 2019, he announced he was running for president against Donald Trump because, he said, Mr. Trump had embraced racist neo-Nazis during a violent clash in Charlottesville, Virginia, two years earlier during Mr. Trump’s first year in office.
“That’s when we heard the words of the president of the United States that stunned the world and shocked the conscience of this nation,” Mr. Biden said when he announced his campaign for the presidency. “He said there were, quote, ‘some very fine people on both sides.’”
Of course, anyone paying attention knew this was a lie. Americans are very aware that President Joe Biden is entering friendly territory at the first presidential debate on Thursday.
If Biden wanted to display normalcy or strength, it won’t happen because most voters believe there is no chance the moderators would remain neutral regarding former President Donald Trump.
Trump supporters have been very vocal about his decision to debate Biden on CNN with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash as the event’s moderators. However, a poll shows that not just Trump allies but most Americans see the glaring impartiality frequently displayed by the network and its hosts.
Around 56% of the Issues & Insights poll voters said they either didn’t approve or were unsure of CNN as the network host for the first presidential debate. The polling gets worse when one looks at the debate hosts Tapper and Bash, both longtime critics of Trump and his supporters. (ROOKE: Obama Got Exactly Want He Wanted With His Biden Investment)
As one of CNN’s top media personalities, Tapper has used his platform to push the Russian collusion hoax and frequently referenced Adolf Hitler when speaking about Trump or his policies. So it’s not shocking that Americans would have such a low opinion of the elite media stooge. Only 30% of voters gave Tapper a positive score, while 75% voted unsure or unfavorable.
Voters are even more unsure of Bash, the polling shows. She has just a 26% favorability rating, with 73% of voters either unsure or downright pessimistic about the CNN personality. This likely has to do with her consistent attacks on Trump and his supporters on her show. Bash even asked Frank Luntz in 2023, “Who are these people?” still wanting to vote for him after “everything that’s going on that happened on January 6.”

Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was supposed to have an interview on CNN, but it was cut short because she told the truth about some of the network’s on-air talent. Host Kasie Hunt decided to pull the plug once Leavitt exposed the network’s overt anti-Trump bias.
The segment focused on the upcoming debate between Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump this Thursday and how Trump prepares for the showdown. Leavitt delivered some jabs at Biden, touted Trump’s preparedness, and lashed out at the debate moderators, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, which did not sit well with Hunt. The Daily Caller's Nicole Silverio had the best way to describe it: Hunt "rage quit" the interview.

The Biden administration has overseen an enormous increase of illegal migrant crossings along the U.S.-Canada border over the past four years.
There have so far been 12,859 illegal migrant crossings along the northern border in fiscal year 2024, with several months still left to go, according to the latest data provided by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Despite only eight months of data available, the number of illegal border crossings this fiscal year have already surpassed all other years of President Joe Biden’s tenure, and represent a marked increase from his first year in office. In fiscal year 2021, the first year of the Biden administration, Border Patrol reported 916 northern land border encounters, the CBP data show. That number rose to 2,238 in fiscal year 2022, 10,021 in fiscal year 2023 and now 12,859 for the first eight months of this current fiscal year. The climb from 916 illegal crossings in fiscal year 2021 to 12,859 illegal crossings this fiscal year marks a 1,303% increase.

The Supreme Court is expected to release all of its remaining decisions by the end of the week.
Opinions coming down the line include decisions on former President Donald Trump’s presidential immunity appeal, an abortion case from Idaho and a consequential challenge to the Biden administration’s censorship efforts. The next opinion day is scheduled for Wednesday.
Below are some of the most significant issues the justices will decide on in the remaining cases this term.
Administrative State Power
Under the Supreme Court’s 1984 Chevron ruling, courts are instructed to defer to reasonable agency interpretations of laws when the language of the statute is ambiguous. Critics argue Chevron deference gives the government an unfair upper-hand in litigation against its citizens, allowing agencies to assert their interpretations of statutes in court without facing real resistance, including on issues ranging from Second Amendment rights to religious liberty.
The Supreme Court could overturn Chevron deference in two cases brought by fishermen, Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo and Relentless, Inc. v. Department of Commerce. In both cases, fishing companies sued after the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration implemented a rule requiring them to pay $700 a day to cover the salaries of federally-mandated on-board observers, which lower courts upheld based on Chevron.
Biden Administration Censorship Efforts
Wide-ranging government efforts to encourage social media companies to censor speech online came before the justices for oral arguments in March. The case, Murthy v. Missouri, asks them to consider whether the Biden administration’s conduct violates the First Amendment.

Snopes, a fact-checking website, issued a correction for the infamous “very fine people” line Trump used, as well as had used against him — seven years later.
Trump delivered remarks at an Aug. 15, 2017 news conference following violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia over the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee the weekend prior. For years, Democrats latched onto a claim Trump called neo-Nazis and white supremacists “very fine people” by taking Trump’s comments out of context.
Snopes set the record straight ahead of Thursday’s 2024 presidential debate, acknowledging the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee said neo-Nazis and white supremacists should be “condemned totally.”
“In a news conference after the rally protesting the planned removal of a Confederate statue, Trump did say there were ‘very fine people on both sides,’ referring to the protesters and the counterprotesters. Snopes, a fact-checking website, issued a correction for the infamous “very fine people” line Trump used, as well as had used against him — seven years later.
Trump delivered remarks at an Aug. 15, 2017 news conference following violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia over the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee the weekend prior. For years, Democrats latched onto a claim Trump called neo-Nazis and white supremacists “very fine people” by taking Trump’s comments out of context.
Snopes set the record straight ahead of Thursday’s 2024 presidential debate, acknowledging the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee said neo-Nazis and white supremacists should be “condemned totally.”

“In a news conference after the rally protesting the planned removal of a Confederate statue, Trump did say there were ‘very fine people on both sides,’ referring to the protesters and the counterprotesters. U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) issued a formal demand that the White House physician — a role in which Rep. Jackson previously served Presidents Obama and Trump — drug test President Joe Biden for Thursday evening's debate against former President Donald J. Trump.
Writing in a letter to President Biden and White House doctor Kevin O'Connor, Rep. Jackson demands that Biden "submit to a clinically validated drug test in order to reassure the American people that you are mentally fit to serve as President and not relying on performance enhancing drugs to help you with your debate performance or on a day-to-day basis to assist you in performing your duties as President of the United States."
Rep. Jackson requests that the drug tests be "administered both immediately before and after the debate" and "be immediately released to the public" along with "a complete list of all medications" Biden takes on a daily and/or as needed basis as well as "any performance enhancing medications" Biden takes or plans to take before Thursday night's debate.
"It’s a terrible reality that I am having to send a letter demanding President Biden submit to a drug test prior to this week’s debate, however, Americans are being left in the dark by a dishonest administration regarding what types of performance enhancing drugs Biden is using for high stakes events like the State of the Union," Rep. Jackson said in a statement on Monday.

He might have shot his mouth off during the Obama administration, which cost him his job, but Van Jones does have his moments of clarity. He’s another unabashed liberal who can give reasonable analyses on the political landscape much better than any clown at MSNBC. Again, I know that’s not challenging, but Jones has said the Russian collusion story was a nothing burger. What isn’t a ‘nothing burger’ is the Obama coalition collapsing before our eyes, much like Joe Biden’s mental health.
At the Milken Institute’s Global Conference, Jones gave a damning assessment of the health of this coalition that was, by all intents and purposes, unbeatable at the time. Yet, as Republicans and Democrats have learned under the Bush and Obama presidencies, there is no permanent political majority. Liberals may scoff, and Jones admits he gets beaten up over it, but the evidence is clear that the core voter groups that overwhelmingly back Democrats aren’t going to be as strong this year.
It’s all about the margins.
Jones admits that the vast majority of black people are going to vote for Biden, but that’s not the point: there is a segment that is “hurtin’ and uncertain” about their place in the party. The white working class has defected en masse—that’s over. Now, black and Latino working-class voters are following. Jones isn’t the only one to make this point. James Carville has already conceded that Democrats are going to lose Hispanic men this year. And both men pointed to the same reason: they’re tired of the woke lectures.

Television star Judge Judy Sheindlin on Friday harshly criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for prosecuting former President Donald Trump over what she considers “nonsense.”
The Manhattan jury in Bragg’s case convicted Trump in late May of 34 felony counts of falsifying business documents to conceal a payment to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election for her to be silent about an alleged affair. Sheindlin told host Chris Wallace in an episode of Max’s “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace” that Bragg should be focused on prosecuting criminals who make New York unsafe rather than the former president, who she said the district attorney targeted for personal reasons. “I would be happier, as someone who owns property in Manhattan, if the district attorney of New York County would take care of criminals who were making it impossible for citizens to walk in the streets and use the subway, to use his efforts to keep those people off the street, than to spend $5 million or $10 million of taxpayers’ money trying Donald Trump on this nonsense,” Sheindlin said. “That’s my view. But I, as a taxpayer in this country, resent using the system for your own personal self-aggrandizement.”

This week – specifically Thursday night – will be by far the most important moment of the 2024 marathon presidential campaign. It could prove decisive and now, it seems, even contain a major surprise.
This election campaign is not only the longest ever in the United States. It is also historically different and just plain weird. The Thursday debate in Atlanta between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is the earliest presidential debate since they began in 1960, coming a full 20 weeks before Election Day.
It is the first debate ever between two men who have both been president, which creates a unique dynamic for the nationally televised set-to. And it comes just 14 weeks before the earliest early voting begins.
Both men, who remain presumed nominees until their party’s convention in July and August, are the oldest to compete. And Biden, who turns 82 this year, sets a new White House age record every day, even the 40 percent he spends on vacation.
The debate on CNN at 9 p.m.Eastern will be the first opportunity for millions to see each man live and together and to judge their responses to unexpected questions, assuming another CNN commentator didn't leak them to the Democrat again, as Donna Brazile did for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

As the Supreme Court continues to delay releasing its opinion in Trump vs. United States, pundits, journalists, and politicians are increasingly apprehensive about what the future may hold as the summer campaign season escalates. The rarity of Supreme Court sessions extending into July makes the delay in this high-stakes immunity case increasingly perplexing.
For former President Trump, the delay, in this case, might offer short-term fundraising benefits—his mug shot alone generated millions, and incarceration following his sentencing on July 11th could potentially yield even more. However, the maxim "justice delayed is justice denied" remains profoundly relevant as political eyes remained focused on the high court.
This case should be a simple one to decide. Legal intricacies aside, at its core, this case is about the fundamental right to free speech guaranteed by the First Amendment. Former President Trump, like any citizen, deserves the right to express his beliefs without fear of retribution or censorship. In our democratic society, the right to free speech is the bedrock to our freedom. Just as every American is free to express their thoughts and opinions, so too should a sitting or former president.
Yet, lawyers continue to confuse and complicate the basic and fundamental issues the way only lawyers can. Instead of trying to find simple solutions, they overcomplicate things to accommodate a political bias and end up arguing to the point where it is absurd – and ordinary Americans are disgusted.
Despite what many in the media and power want us to believe, it is essential to understand that this case is about much more than revenge against former President Trump. This case is about the preservation of core freedoms that belong to everyone regardless of political affiliation. The Biden Administration and liberal prosecutors are attempting to criminalize dissenting thoughts and abusing the legal system to gain political power. It is a dangerous precedent to set, one that undermines the very foundation of our republic.

Let Trump Talk - Let Him Walk

As the Supreme Court continues to delay releasing its opinion in Trump vs. United States, pundits, journalists, and politicians are increasingly apprehensive about what the future may hold as the summer campaign season escalates. The rarity of Supreme Court sessions extending into July makes the delay in this high-stakes immunity case increasingly perplexing.
For former President Trump, the delay, in this case, might offer short-term fundraising benefits—his mug shot alone generated millions, and incarceration following his sentencing on July 11th could potentially yield even more. However, the maxim "justice delayed is justice denied" remains profoundly relevant as political eyes remained focused on the high court.
This case should be a simple one to decide. Legal intricacies aside, at its core, this case is about the fundamental right to free speech guaranteed by the First Amendment. Former President Trump, like any citizen, deserves the right to express his beliefs without fear of retribution or censorship. In our democratic society, the right to free speech is the bedrock to our freedom. Just as every American is free to express their thoughts and opinions, so too should a sitting or former president.
Yet, lawyers continue to confuse and complicate the basic and fundamental issues the way only lawyers can. Instead of trying to find simple solutions, they overcomplicate things to accommodate a political bias and end up arguing to the point where it is absurd – and ordinary Americans are disgusted.
Despite what many in the media and power want us to believe, it is essential to understand that this case is about much more than revenge against former President Trump. This case is about the preservation of core freedoms that belong to everyone regardless of political affiliation. The Biden Administration and liberal prosecutors are attempting to criminalize dissenting thoughts and abusing the legal system to gain political power. It is a dangerous precedent to set, one that undermines the very foundation of our republic.

This week’s debate reveals—in many ways—the blueprint for the election of 2024. Every candidate for federal office will be viewed as an extension of the Presidential nominee representing them this week.
That makes this week’s debate more meaningful than others in the cycle's past.
The major reason this is the case is because both men have had the reigns of government, both have a record in office, and the people will choose on those records.
From a purely policy perspective that indicates the most lopsided loss in history should be expected for the incumbent. But with the malcontent in office, his corrupt influence with the media, and whatever gamesmanship they may have planned for shenanigans the Trump team has zero room to relax or take a breath.
By extension, it also means that the rest of the ticket must play it equally tough. It is not time for the U.S. Senate candidate for a state or a House candidate for a district to wander off message. Incumbent Democrats are chained to Biden’s failures and his attack on Americans

"Horrible, horrible" President Joe Biden is "dragging us toward World War III," former President Donald Trump told his supporters Saturday evening in Philadelphia, pledging to build an "iron dome" if reelected.
"Less than four years ago, our border was secure," Trump said at the Liacouras Center at Temple University in an address that aired live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform. "The world was at peace. They respected your country.
"And America was strong like never before for all, because you finally had a president who put America first."
But with Biden, "the world is in flames," Trump said Saturday, speaking just days before he and Biden square off for their first presidential campaign debate.
"His border overrun, inflation is raging. Crime is out of control. Europe is in chaos. The Middle East is exploding. Iran is emboldened. China is on the march."
And with Biden, "we're going to be in World War III soon," he declared. "We're racing the clock. That's why this November, the people of Pennsylvania are going to tell crooked Joe Biden, 'You're fired. Get out, get out. You're fired.'"

The federal government, with its "natural tendency" to reach for power, cannot handle a future pandemic, Rep. Rich McCormick, who is a medical doctor, told Newsmax Sunday.
"This is what my biggest criticism was all along," the Georgia Republican said on Newsmax's "Sunday Report." "You have people who never treated a patient making decisions for you medically about what you can do, what you have access to, whether you can travel, whether your business can be open or closed."
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he added, the government closed down tens of thousands of businesses that will never reopen "because they were scared, because they had zero tolerance for anybody else's opinions, and that's what the government did wrong."
McCormick's comments came in response to those made last week by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director, who admitted that schools likely stayed closed for too long during the pandemic.

WILDWOOD, N.J.—A near-fatal car crash left Edward X. Young with debilitating injuries, persistent pain, and a shattered lifelong dream.
But the aftermath of that 2015 wreck also transformed Mr. Young into one of the most ardent supporters of Donald Trump, who became America’s 45th president. The Republican former president is now aspiring to unseat Democrat President Joe Biden and become the nation’s 47th president.
Large scale rallies have been a hallmark of the Trump campaign since its infancy. Although some people claim to have attended more than 100 of these events, Mr. Young’s journey to 77 Trump rallies—and counting—stands out because of the way it began.
The frequency, size, and enthusiasm of the former president’s crowds reflect “the Trump phenomenon,” as political history professor Jeff Bloodworth calls it.
“He is the political sun around which all American politics revolves, for better or worse,” Mr. Bloodworth, who teaches at Pennsylvania’s Gannon University, told The Epoch Times. “He has a very large reservoir of supporters who don’t just vote for him. ... They turn out and they go to these events.”
The only other comparable politician in recent years was Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama. During his successful 2008 campaign for the presidency, he drew “enormous crowds,” Mr. Bloodworth noted.

A bipartisan working group to address China’s role in the fentanyl epidemic has been established by the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The Fentanyl Policy Working Group, announced by the panel on June 20, will be in charge of creating legislation and raising public awareness through committee events to expose the CCP’s role in the fentanyl crisis in the United States and combat the threat.
“China has programs in place to reward companies with subsidies for exporting fentanyl and other drugs illegal under Chinese law to the United States. It is now abundantly clear that the CCP is not just turning a blind eye to the fentanyl crisis, it is causing it,” Rep. John Moolenaar (R-Mich.), the committee’s chairman, said in a press release.
Mr. Moolenaar and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.), the committee’s ranking Democrat member, announced the working group’s formation. Mr. Moolenaar said he formed the group “to determine what must be done to seek justice for the hundreds of thousands of victims and hold the CCP responsible for funneling this poison into American communities.”
The group will start by focusing its work on an April report from the committee titled “The CCP Role in the Fentanyl Crisis,” which found that Beijing directly subsidizes fentanyl production and exports the deadly substance to the United States, causing hundreds of thousands of American deaths in an effort to weaken and undermine the country.
“Fentanyl is the leading cause of death for people ages 18-45 in the United States, and we now know the Chinese Communist Party is the force behind that crisis,” Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.) said. “From funding the manufacturing and export of illicit fentanyl precursor chemicals to holding ownership interest in companies tied to drug trafficking, the CCP is not only an active participant in the drug trade—they are directly incentivizing it,” he added.

“China has programs in place to reward companies with subsidies for exporting fentanyl and other drugs illegal under Chinese law to the United States. It is now abundantly clear that the CCP is not just turning a blind eye to the fentanyl crisis, it is causing it,” Rep. John Moolenaar (R-Mich.), the committee’s chairman, said in a press release.
Mr. Moolenaar and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.), the committee’s ranking Democrat member, announced the working group’s formation. Mr. Moolenaar said he formed the group “to determine what must be done to seek justice for the hundreds of thousands of victims and hold the CCP responsible for funneling this poison into American communities.”
The group will start by focusing its work on an April report from the committee titled “The CCP Role in the Fentanyl Crisis,” which found that Beijing directly subsidizes fentanyl production and exports the deadly substance to the United States, causing hundreds of thousands of American deaths in an effort to weaken and undermine the country.
“Fentanyl is the leading cause of death for people ages 18-45 in the United States, and we now know the Chinese Communist Party is the force behind that crisis,” Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.) said. “From funding the manufacturing and export of illicit fentanyl precursor chemicals to holding ownership interest in companies tied to drug trafficking, the CCP is not only an active participant in the drug trade—they are directly incentivizing it,” he added.

More than 30 tons of fentanyl have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border since President Joe Biden took office, causing a full-scale invasion at our nation’s border.
According to the Republican National Committee (RNC), 30.3 tons of fentanyl successfully made it over the southern border and into American communities in just shy of four years thanks to Biden’s reckless immigration policies.
Biden is encouraging the crisis by refusing to take charge and secure the border and deport the more than 17 million illegal immigrants who have entered the country under his presidency.
The United States is facing a poisoning epidemic caused by fentanyl and its related substances that are pouring over our southern border. Last year, more than 100,000 Americans died of a drug overdose or poisoning, with 70,000 dying from fentanyl or its analogs. President Biden’s own officials confirmed these substances are coming across the Southern Border. President Biden’s assertion that there are “more important things going on” than the border crisis is misguided and offensive. Via Energy and Commerce.
According to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), fentanyl is being manufactured in foreign countries, primarily China, and then smuggled into the U.S. through illegal aliens. The often fatal drug is being laced into other drugs such as cocaine and marijuana due to its low cost and then sold to people through the drug market, causing millions of accidental overdoses nationwide.
The DEA explained that when fentanyl is mixed in with other illicit drugs, it increases the potency of the drug. Drug mules press it into pill form to make it look like an actual prescription opioid. However, since there is no official quality control of the counterfeit pills, people end up with lethal doses of fentanyl unknowingly.
