Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) almost got attacked again. Leaving the Republican National Convention, swarms of angry leftists attempted to attack him. If it weren’t for the police, who were assaulted in the melee, Sen. Paul might have suffered physical harm…again. Scores of those leaving the White House were accosted by these clowns, including those who weren’t even politicians. These lefty mobs continue to spread their mayhem and voters are starting to notice. Paul said that he could have been killed if the police weren’t there protecting him and his wife.

FBI: Chinese researcher caught trying to fly to China with stolen bio-inspired computer code

A Chinese military-linked researcher was caught by U.S. authorities at the airport attempting to flee to China with highly advanced computer code he stole from a U.S. university that could be used for underwater robots and aircraft engines, according to the FBI.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection stopped Hu Haizhou, a researcher from the University of Virginia’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering discovered to also work for a Chinese military-linked university too, before he could board a flight to Qingdao, China, from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Tuesday, said an FBI special agent in an 11-page affidavit filed on Friday in federal court in Virginia.
According to the agent, Matthew Rader, CBP investigators questioned Hu and searched his electronic devices, which revealed UVA-research-related files stored on his laptop, including “bio-inspired research simulation software code” developed by “Professor 1.” Bio-inspired research relates to studying the complexities of flying and swimming creatures in nature and applying that to manned flight or submersibles — often with military applications.

TOKYO—Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he would resign because of a painful intestinal condition, ending his rule after he held the top job longer than anyone else.
Mr. Abe, 65 years old, said he would stay in office until a successor is chosen, likely in September. The ruling Liberal Democratic Party has the power to make the choice—likely in a vote by party lawmakers and other leaders—because it controls a majority in Parliament, which elects the prime minister.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just became the latest, and highest-profile, Democrat to give nominee Joe Biden a vote of no-confidence — by urging him to dodge the normal debates against President Trump.
“I don’t think there should be any debates,” she told reporters Thursday, completely out of the blue.
She claimed President Trump will make any debate “an exercise in skullduggery.” But it sounds like she doesn’t think Biden is up to the task.

We’re not surprised Biden’s supporters are terrified voters will question his performance. Some of the 77-year-old’s craziest recent comments — such as declaring that African Americans don’t have a diversity of opinion — plainly exceed his past gaffes.
What’s surprising is how bold Biden’s biggest backers are in going public with their reservations about his ability. If they don’t trust him on a debate stage, why should voters trust him as their representative on the world stage?

The chief victim of this week’s Republican National Convention is the Democrat Big Lie that President Donald J. Trump is a minority- and immigrant-hating racist and xenophobe. A parade of speakers of color and Americans with foreign accents turned this slander into a smoking, smoldering ruin.
“It is an honor to be with you as a proud Republican and supporter of Donald J. Trump,” said Kentucky’s charismatic attorney general, Daniel Cameron, 34. “I also think about Joe Biden, who says, ‘If you aren’t voting for me, you ain’t Black.’ Who argued that Republicans would put us ‘back in chains.’ Who says there is no diversity of thought in the Black community. Mr. Vice President, look at me. I am Black. We are not all the same, sir. I am not in chains. My mind is my own. And you can’t tell me how to vote because of the color of my skin.”
“I know what racism looks like. I’ve seen it first hand. In America, it has no resemblance to President Trump,” said NFL veteran Jack Brewer, a black man and lifelong Democrat. “I’m fed up with the way he’s portrayed in the media, who refuse to acknowledge what he has actually done for the Black community.”

So what has President Trump done for Blacks?
* Before the China virus capsized everything, Trumponomics delivered Blacks and Hispanics the lowest unemployment rates in American history.
* Thanks to the Trump/GOP Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, $75 billion in private investment have poured into 8,700 Opportunity Zones. They are invigorating low-income, chiefly minority communities.
* President Trump’s First Step Act criminal-justice reform has freed from mass incarceration some 3,100 largely Black, nonviolent inmates, many of them imprisoned for low-level drug crimes under legislation sponsored by then-Sen. Joe Biden.
* President Trump has secured long-term funds, summer-school Pell Grant access, debt forgiveness, and much more for America’s 101 Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
* President Trump has increased school-choice options and funded the Washington, D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program, mainly benefitting Blacks.
* As America’s most pro-life president ever, Trump has made it easier for unborn Black babies to be delivered rather than aborted, as were an estimated 327,682 in 2017.
But Blacks are not the only people of color to gain from President Trump’s public policies.

Arguing "no one will be safe in Biden’s America," President Trump took aim at rival Joe Biden and painted a clear contrast between himself and the Democratic presidential nominee as he gave arguably the most important speech of his 2020 reelection campaign.
Delivering his GOP renomination acceptance speech live from the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday night as he closed out this week’s Republican National Convention, the president emphasized that “Joe Biden is not the savior of America’s soul – he is the destroyer of America’s jobs, and if given the chance, he will be the destroyer of American greatness.”

And making the case for another four years steering the nation, arguing he's kept his promises and delivered on them to supporters, Trump vowed that “in a new term as president, we will again build the greatest economy in history – quickly returning to full employment, soaring incomes and record prosperity.”

But Trump also used his speech and the entire four-day confab to shake up a contest that has seen him consistently for months trail the former vice president in national public opinion polling and, more importantly, in surveys in the key general election battle ground states. The president is aiming for a reset in a race where his job combating the worst pandemic to strike the nation and the world in a century – and an economy severely deflated by the coronavirus – are top on the minds of voters.
The president used his address to once again paint Biden as a candidate who will be subservient to the extreme left of the Democratic Party and warn of a chaotic future for Americans if Biden wins November’s general election.
Trump emphasized that "this is the most important election in the history of our country."

Republicans spent the better part of three nights in their convention presenting softer and gentler sides of President Trump, but the president gets the final word and he came out Thursday in a fighting mood.
His acceptance speech detailed his successes and offered promises aplenty for a second term, but the emphasis and energy were committed to a scorched-earth attack on Joe Biden and the Democrats.

Then later: “How can the Democrat Party ask to lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?”
After saying Biden had buckled to the demands of the socialists in his party, Trump asked: “If he can’t stand up to them, how is he going to stand up for you?”

At the RNC Convention Thursday night, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) outlined a hopeful and positive vision for the country, in stark contrast to the dark and gloomy future the Democrats envision for America.
"As Americans, we carve our own destiny," Rep. McCarthy began. "As, Americans, we look forward not backward. Our ancestors braved the unknown. They built this nation, brick by brick. They lifted up millions from poverty, hunger, and disease. They vanquished fascism and communism. A great nation because of great people."
While Democrats call for the dismantling, defunding, and disparaging of America's institutions and its principles, Rep. McCarthy called for a future where America's economy is rebuilt and the American dream is alive and well.
The California Republican said "no one has done more to protect and advance" the United States than President Donald Trump.
"Republicans are proud to stand with him and work for you," said McCarthy. Together we built the greatest economy the world has ever seen, and we’ll do it again."

During the third night of the 2020 RNC convention, Chinese dississent and civil rights attorney Chen Guangcheng, who has been blind since childhood, conducted his speech by reading braille and speaking in his second language. He warned about the evils of the Chinese Communist Party [CCP] after experiencing their tyranny firsthand.
"Standing up to tyranny is not easy. I know. When I spoke out against China’s 'one child' policy and other injustices, I was persecuted, beaten, and put under house arrest by the government. In April, 2012, I escaped and was given shelter in the American embassy in Beijing. I am forever grateful to the American people for welcoming me and my family to the United States where we are now free," Guangcheng said. "The Chinese Communist Party is an enemy of humanity. It is terrorizing its own people and it is threatening the well-being of the world. In China, expressing beliefs or ideas not approved by the CCP - religion, democracy, human rights - can lead to prison. The nation lives under mass surveillance and censorship. The CCP is focused on power and control, and acts without regard to the law or to human rights. Countless activists have disappeared or are under house arrest. Just consider the sad plight of the Uyghurs in concentration camps."
Guangcheng also discussed the CCP's latest assault on the world.
"The coronavirus pandemic, originating in China—and covered up by the CCP—has caused mass death and social upheaval around the world. In the same way, the virus of the CCP is threatening the people of the world. The policy of appeasement of former administrations—including Obama and Biden—has allowed the CCP to infiltrate and corrode different aspects of the global community," he said.
