CBS fired a legal executive Monday after she wrote on Facebook that she was not "sympathetic" to the victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
“I’m actually not even sympathetic [because] country music fans often are Republican gun toters," former executive Hayley Geftman-Gold wrote.
At least 58 people were killed and more than 500 were injured after a gunman opened fire at a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
"This individual, who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS," the network said in a statement Monday.
"Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families,” the network wrote.
The Daily Caller first flagged Geftman-Gold's post Monday morning.
“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing," wrote Geftman-Gold, who served as vice president and senior counsel of strategic transactions at CBS.
The post quickly went viral, with Geftman-Gold's name and "CBS Exec" both becoming top trending topics on Twitter.
President Trump condemned the mass shooting on Monday morning, calling it "an act of pure evil” in an address to the nation.
“We join together in sadness, shock and grief,” Trump said at the White House. “It was an act of pure evil.”
Trump said he would travel to Las Vegas on Wednesday.
The suspected gunman has been identified as Nevada resident Stephen Paddock, according to Las Vegas police. The 64-year-old took his own life, according to police, as law enforcement closed in on his hotel room.

The death toll in the Las Vegas shooting has climbed to at least 50 and more than 200 injured – while the suspected gunman has been identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, Nevada, according reports.
The shooter was described as a “lone wolf” by Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.
Police said Paddock died on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.
He had a criminal past and was known to local law enforcement, NBC News reported. He has no known connection to terrorism and police have not called the shooting a terrorist attack, according to the network.

LAS Vegas resident Stephen Paddock, 64, has been identified as the man who killed more than 50 people and injured 200 others attending an outdoor concert.
It is being identified as the deadliest mass shooting attack in modern US history.
The lone gunman opened fire at the open-air Route 91 festival, unloading hundreds of rounds of ammunition from a room high up at the Mandalay Bay casino complex.
Witnesses say the shots appeared to come from a balcony on the adjoining casino, aimed at the crowd of 30,000 people on the ground below.

President Donald Trump quietly signed a government directive ordering a sweeping pressure campaign on North Korea early on in his administration to derail the rogue regime’s nuclear plans, a Saturday report revealed.
It turns out the Trump administration has a very clear strategy for dealing with the rogue regime. The Department of Defense has been targeting North Korean spies and hackers, the Department of State has been encouraging foreign governments to cut ties with Pyongyang at every opportunity, and the Department of the Treasury has been tightening the noose on North Korea’s economy through escalating sanctions on the regime and its supporters. At the same time, the U.S. has been keeping the door open for negotiation, according to The Washington Post, which cites U.S. officials familiar with the situation.
The White House announced a strategy of “maximum pressure and engagement” after a comprehensive policy review in March.

America hired a reality television star with no experience in government. All the electorate remembered was that Donald Trump was good at saying "you're fired" on prime-time television. So, they hired him as president, and, on Friday at around 5 p.m., they got their money's worth.
Trump just accepted the resignation of disgraced Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price. It's the right thing to do, and it's a great move. What's more, by cutting Price, Trump has shown a leadership that Obama never would.

Hillary Clinton's campaign appears not to have returned or donated to charity the more than $5,000 in contributions from the former co-owner of a website linked to underage prostitution and whose donations have backed a number of current and former Democratic politicians into a corner.
Controversy surrounding donations from the owners of Backpage.com, an online classified website that has come under fire from politicians including Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), has forced a number of politicians—particularly in the state of Arizona—to return or donate the tainted contributions.

VIENNA – A law that forbids any kind of full-face covering, including Islamic veils such as the niqab or burqa, has come into force in Austria.
Starting Sunday, wearing a ski mask off the slopes, a surgical mask outside hospitals and party masks in public is prohibited.
The law, popularly known as the "Burqa Ban," is mostly seen as a directed at the dress worn by some ultra-conservative Muslim women.

Knifeman kills two in Marseille attack
A SUSPECTED Islamist knifeman has killed two women at the main train station in the French Mediterranean port city of Marseille before being shot and killed by patrolling soldiers.
“Two victims have been stabbed to death,” regional police chief Olivier de Mazieres told AFP, referring to the attack which occurred Saint-Charles station about 1.45pm Sunday local time.
The knifeman is believed to have shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest) before assaulting passers-by, a source close to the investigation told AFP on condition of anonymity.
One of the victims had her throat slit, according to officials, with the stabbing rampage sparking a mass evacuation.
