Libya conflict: Satellite images show Gaddafi compound damage
Satellite images of central Tripoli show the extent of damage inflicted by Nato airstrikes on Colonel Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziya compound and nearby vehicle depot since April 2011.
The images were taken on 18 June by DigitalGlobe, with analysis based on Unosat and DigitalGlobe FirstWatch Analysis.
Explosions rocked the compound area at dawn on 16 June, two days before the above satellite image was taken.
Nato later confirmed that "an intensification of air strikes has resulted in the destruction of crucial command-and-control nodes, military equipment and ammunition storage facilities, particularly within the vast Bab al-Aziziya presidential compound".
