Communism got a sinister makeover after the Cold War. Somehow, collective memory has forgotten that Marxist and communist ideologies contributed to 61 million murders in the Soviet Union between 1917 and 1987. China has experienced at least 60 million murders over the past 70 years and an estimated 330 million forced Chinese abortions.

The killing in China persists today. In the intelligence community, we believe that the exponential increase in organ harvesting over the past 20 years, combined with the use of 93 state-run military hospitals for transplants and murders, may have led to at least 3 million deaths attributable to forced organ harvesting.

Today marked a historic victory for not only the United States and Israel, but the Iranian people as well. The U.S. and Israel launched a massive military strike on the Islamic nation overnight Eastern time, striking at military targets and the Iranian leadership. At least 40 members of the Iranian regime leadership have been killed, including the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei himself, according to multiple sources. Khamenei was killed in the Israeli strikes on his compound, per multiple reports.

The strikes came after weeks of speculation that the U.S. would work to help the Iranian people who had risen up against the Ayatollah's regime, including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and reports from the nation say tens of thousands of Iranians were killed by security forces, including injured Iranians who were killed in hospitals. Some wondered whether the U.S. would ever launch the attacks.

Now we have more information on why the strikes happened today, from Salem Radio host and CNN contributor Scott Jennings. Jennings is reporting that intelligence indicated Iran was planning strikes on U.S. military and civilian targets in the region, which would have resulted in mass casualties.

Overnight, the U.S. and Israel launched a massive military strike against Iran. President Trump issued a statement in the early hours of Saturday morning, too, saying, "We are going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground. It will be totally, again, obliterated. We are going to annihilate their navy. We are going to ensure that the region's terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region or the world and attack our forces, and no longer use their IEDs or roadside bombs, as they are sometimes called, to so gravely wound and kill thousands and thousands of people, including many Americans. And we will ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon."

A poll received by the GOP just days before the launch of Operation Epic Fury showed that the overwhelming majority of GOP voters supported strikes on the Iranian regime.

According to reports at Axios and Reuters, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini was killed in Saturday's air strikes. Yechiel Leiter, Israeli Ambassador to the United States, confirmed the news to U.S. officials shortly after Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed his nation and said that there many signs indicating Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei "is no longer."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that Israel and the United States had begun a joint military campaign targeting Iran's leadership, describing the effort as a bid to eliminate what he called an "existential threat."

In a televised address delivered hours after U.S.-led strikes commenced under Operation Epic Fury, Netanyahu said the allies were acting to counter what he characterized as the dangers posed by Iran's ruling regime.

He thanked President Donald Trump for what he described as "historic leadership" and accused Iran's leadership of decades of aggression.

"For 47 years, the ayatollahs' regime has chanted 'Death to Israel,' 'Death to America,'" Netanyahu said. "It has spilled our blood, murdered many Americans, and massacred its own people."

Netanyahu argued that Iran's government "must not be allowed to arm itself with nuclear weapons that would enable it to threaten all of humanity," framing the operation as necessary to prevent Tehran from acquiring such capabilities.

He said the joint campaign would also "create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands," calling on various ethnic groups inside Iran, including "Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Baloch, and Ahwazis," to "cast off the yoke of tyranny."

Addressing Israelis directly, Netanyahu urged the public to follow guidance from the Home Front Command and brace for the days ahead. 

"In the coming days, during Operation 'Lion's Roar,' we will all be called upon to show patience and strength of spirit," he said. "Together we will stand, together we will fight, and together we will ensure the eternity of Israel."

The United States military launched targeted strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday, following the escalation of tensions between the two powers and an apparent breakdown in diplomatic negotiations.

President Donald Trump posted an eight-minute video to Truth Social announcing the “massive and ongoing” attacks, identified as Operation Epic Fury, which are targeting Iran’s military and its nuclear program, as well as to facilitate a change in its government.

“Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a vicious group of very hard, terrible people,” the president declared in the video posted Saturday at 2:30 a.m. EST. “Its menacing activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world.”

“We are going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground,” Trump vowed. “We are going to annihilate their navy, we are going to ensure that the region’s terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region and the world.”

Iran, he claimed, “attempted to rebuild their nuclear program and continue developing long range missiles that can now threaten our very good friends and allies in Europe, our troops stationed overseas and could soon reach our American homeland.”

The United States has launched what President Donald Trump called “major combat operations” in Iran, saying the objective is to eliminate threats from the regime and ensure Tehran “can never have a nuclear weapon.”

Trump said Iran had rejected chances to curb its nuclear program and urged the Iranian people to rise up against their government.

The strikes followed a third round of U.S.–Iran talks on Feb. 26 that ended without a breakthrough. Tensions have mounted for years over Iran’s nuclear activities, escalating further after U.S. strikes on key sites last year.

I’m surprised that a liberal publication did this, but it has happened before, even in more left-leaning outlets, which I will mention shortly. USA Today featured a brief article by Joni Werner, a Democrat from Texas. She watched Trump’s State of the Union address and aligned with nearly everything he said.

Uh, Joni, are you certain you’re a Democrat? Werner believed the president’s message and agenda were correct for the nation and vital for restoring the economy. She was also disgusted that Democrats did not support the heroes present and failed to give Mr. Trump equal opportunity to govern:

I watched President Donald Trump's entire 2026 State of the Union speech. And I loved it! Watching it made me more likely to vote in the midterm elections.

This was the first time I wasn't bored and actually agreed with everything he had to say. I appreciate his businessman's approach to the economy and tariffs. I loved that he celebrated the people directly affected by his policy changes and celebrated the economy wins by putting America first.

I am disappointed in all the elected leaders who refused to celebrate the people who have been sacrificed because of the policies brought about by the Biden administration.

The speech improved my opinion of Trump, and I believe he has only the best interests of the United States at the core of all his decisions. I do believe the changes he has made are working, and I wish the Democratic Party would give him the same courtesy they gave the Obama administration with illegal aliens.

It does not need to be this difficult. I believe Trump is trying to make government more transparent and follow the rules.

Government needs to actually represent the people, not politicians' self interests and agenda. I am actually a registered Democrat, and I was ashamed of how congressional Democrats were acting at the State of the Union ‒ not giving Trump the common courtesy and respect the office of the president deserves.

OPINION:

A ruler’s legitimacy is granted by divine authority based on their virtue and ability to govern justly, maintain harmony and care for the people. It is a yardstick for governing that dates back to the Zhou dynasty in China. Clearly, Iran’s leadership has lost its legitimacy.

On Jan. 9, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, publicly exhorted his followers with “victory through terror” and “fight until no sedition.” Indeed, that was what happened. The Human Rights Activists News Agency reported the possible deaths of 22,000 protesters during the January government crackdown.

Testimony from morgues, graveyards and hospitals has the number of protesters killed exceeding 30,000. “Bullet fees” were demanded of families visiting hospitals to claim the bodies of loved ones.

SEOUL, South Korea – Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi criticized China Friday while doubling down on Tokyo’s determination to upgrade its military capabilities.

“China appears to have been waging a propaganda campaign against us, as if Japan is becoming militaristic,” Mr. Koizumi told reporters in Tokyo. “In the current security situation, it is essential for us to develop our own defense capabilities without counting on a particular country.”

It was not the first intervention by Mr. Koizumi, formerly seen as a moderate in Japan’s ruling party.

“If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens,” President Trump challenged Democrats during his State of the Union address this week.

The president took a risk — wagering that defiant Democrats would remain in their seats — and, astonishingly, they did.

“Isn’t that a shame? You should be ashamed of yourself not standing up. You should be ashamed of yourself,” Mr. Trump admonished.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, you just watched live the framing of the 2026 elections,” Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio wrote on X during the speech. “Take note of who stood and who sat on their hands. Thank you @POTUS.”

Mr. Trump’s requests during his speech weren’t onerous or even overtly political.

He asked Democrats to stand for the Olympic gold-winning men’s hockey team, to support showing identification in order to vote in federal elections, to ban illegal immigrants from gaining commercial driver’s licenses to prevent them from crashing 18-wheelers on our nation’s highways, and to have compassion for American families who lost loved ones at the hands of illegal aliens.

The Democrats refused it all.

After Mr. Trump’s speech, Democratic Rep. Janelle Bynum said it was “racist” and “uncomfortable” when the president asked Democrats to stand up for American citizens. The New York Times’ The Athletic ran a piece on the men’s hockey team, noting that “it’s nice to be feted as a winner,” however, “who’s celebrating you — and why they’re doing it — matters more.” Because it was President Trump, the celebration was wrong, they concluded.

Trump shared Newsmax’s report that more than 4 million viewers tuned in for live coverage of his speech.

Trump also posted to his Truth Social a link to Newsmax's story on its high SOTU ratings that drew a cable audience exceeding the combined viewership of Fox Business, CNBC, and NewsNation by 23%.

Trump had recently touted Newsmax on his Truth Social account.

China experts and a former Hong Kong MP have weighed in on the recent bomb threat—linked to performing arts group Shen Yun—that forced the evacuation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese from his Canberra residence on Feb. 24.

Ted Hui Chi‑fung, a former Hong Kong legislator who was granted asylum by Australia in 2025, has pinned the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for orchestrating the incident.

“Based on my past experience, including having faced similar persecution, the pattern of this act strongly suggests involvement by Beijing, its proxies, or actors operating with its tacit approval. It reflects a broader pattern of transnational political repression and interference extending into Australia,” Hui told The Epoch Times.

The bombshell news that the Federal Bureau of Investigation spied on FBI Director Kash Patel and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles in 2022-23 while they were private citizens is still fresh in our minds, but now Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is alleging that she’s discovered a more current Deep State plot to monitor her communications.

She said Tesla/SpaceX CEO/X owner/zillionaire Elon Musk helped her discover that there are moles in the building:

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem said Thursday that members of her own department secretly installed spyware on government-issued devices used by Trump administration officials, including her phone and laptop, allowing staffers to record meetings and monitor internal communications.

Noem said on “PBD Podcast” that tech experts, including Elon Musk and members of his team, helped her uncover what she described as unauthorized surveillance software embedded on devices assigned to political appointees. Noem said the discovery came after outside technology specialists examined DHS hardware and flagged suspicious software activity.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was evacuated from his residence in Canberra on Feb. 24, following a bomb threat made in Chinese against him and other high-ranking officials.

The threat came just days before scheduled performances by New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts, a classical Chinese dance and music company that has been a target of Beijing for years.

Ahead of the company’s Australian tour, due to start on Feb. 25, emails in Chinese sent to local presenters demanded that they cancel the shows or else face dire consequences. One email, obtained by The Epoch Times, falsely claimed that explosives had been placed around the prime minister’s residence and that they would be detonated should Shen Yun’s performances proceed.

The prime minister was taken to another location for several hours while law enforcement conducted a search at The Lodge in Canberra. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) on Feb. 24 found “no current threat to community or public safety,” a spokesperson told The Epoch Times.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Newsmax on Thursday that Democrats are blocking the SAVE America Act because they “want to cheat” in U.S. elections.

Appearing on “Wake Up America,” the Wisconsin Republican said the fight over election integrity is about protecting legitimate votes from being diluted by fraud.

“As President [Donald] Trump stated in his State of the Union, it’s because Democrats want to cheat,” Johnson said. He argued that the left’s opposition to the SAVE America Act fits into a broader pattern of resisting basic election safeguards that most Americans support.

“This isn’t just an isolated piece of legislation,” Johnson said. “The Democrats, through their NGOs [non-governmental organizations], promoted millions of people to come to this country illegally.

"They send them off to sanctuary cities and states, they pump up the census, they get more members of Congress.”

He contended that those policies ultimately reshape political power while undermining confidence in elections.

Johnson pointed to mail-in and absentee voting expansions during the COVID-19 pandemic, citing findings he attributed to a bipartisan group created to address issues in the U.S. electoral process.

“For example, the Baker Commission said absentee balloting is probably the one area that [has] the greatest potential for fraud in our elections,” he said, adding that Democrats “doubled that during COVID.”

The senator accused Democrats of pushing policies that weaken election safeguards at every turn.

“They push mail-in balloting, they push automatic registration,” Johnson said. “Again, Democrats want to make it easy to cheat.”

He contrasted that with what he described as overwhelming public support for voter ID and other commonsense protections.

“Eighty percent of Americans say, No, we don’t want our legitimate vote canceled by a fraudulent one,” Johnson said. “So, we support things like voter ID."

Melania Trump has brought to the White House a poise, a sophistication, let's admit it, beauty, and most of all a graciousness that we've not seen in a first lady since... Well, ever. In her husband's second term, she has made the plight of children caught in war zones and natural disasters her particular cause.

To that end, Mrs. Trump is now breaking completely new ground, and it's mildly amazing: She will be the first American first lady to chair a meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

U.S. first lady Melania Trump will preside over a U.N. Security Council meeting in what the United Nations on Thursday said would be a first.

When the wife of President Donald Trump takes her seat in the president’s chair on Monday afternoon, it “will be the first time a first lady, or first gentleman for that matter, has ever presided over a Security Council meeting,” U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters.

The United States takes over the rotating presidency of the 15-member council for the month of March, and the first lady’s office said the meeting she will preside over will “emphasize education’s role in advancing tolerance and world peace.”

Melania Trump has made children in conflict one of her signature issues, writing a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin last year ahead of a summit with President Trump and later announcing that the effort had led to a group of children displaced by the Russia-Ukraine war reuniting with their families.

First ladies have typically taken on a signature cause. Nancy Reagan, for example, made drug abuse her cause, leading to the famous (or, in some circles, infamous) "Just Say No" campaign. Laura Bush, wife of President George W. Bush, pushed education and literacy. Hillary Clinton did... something? Didn't she?

Melania's cause is kids in trouble zones, and she's taking that cause directly to the United Nations.

Arthur Liu Junguo, father of Olympian figure skater Alysa Liu, is elaborating on why he rejected China’s attempt to get his daughter to skate for them.

“Obviously, I would not allow my daughter to compete on behalf of China, because of the serious human rights violations in China,” Arthur Liu told Japan-based English-language magazine Nikkei Asia in an online interview Monday night. Arthur Liu left China in 1989, following his involvement in pro-democracy protests after Tiananmen Square, according to Nikkei Asia.

Alysa Liu was targeted by China’s “naturalization project,” which sought to recruit ethnically Chinese athletes living abroad, according to The Economist. Arthur Liu and his daughter were reportedly surveilled by spies working for China ahead of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. “I want to say that there was contact, and I made it very clear that I would not allow her to compete on behalf of China,” Arthur Liu told Nikkei Asia of the Chinese government’s attempt to get Alysa Liu to compete under their flag.

Arthur Liu says he never discussed finances with the Chinese government, but believes the “financial package would [have been] very enticing.”

Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) said on Feb. 25 that Google and certain of its cybersecurity partners disrupted a global espionage campaign that the group confirmed had hacked 42 countries and suspects infected at least 20 more.

GTIG has tracked the group as UNC2814/Gallium since 2017 and suspects it to be Chinese.

“This prolific, elusive actor has a long history of targeting international governments and global telecommunications organizations across Africa, Asia, and the Americas,” the report reads.

The campaign is characterized by stealth tactics and the targeting of cloud-hosted products to disguise its traffic. The group stated that this campaign is distinct and separate from Salt Typhoon, a major Chinese regime-backed cyberespionage campaign.

Trump administration officials denied a report that a Treasury Department undersecretary was leaving over his objections to the White House's plan to crack down on fraud cases tied to people in Minnesota's Somali immigrant community.

The Washington Post reported Wednesday that John Hurley, undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence had raised concerns about enhanced federal monitoring of international payments from the Minneapolis area and was stepping aside as a result.

Senior administration officials rejected the report, calling it "fake news being pushed by uninformed leakers."

Officials told Newsmax that Hurley and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent "have a great working relationship" and that the undersecretary is in discussions with the White House for "an important new role."

Hurley himself rejected the suggestion that he opposed the administration's America First anti-fraud push.

"Under the leadership of Secretary Bessent, TFI has been at the tip of the spear pushing back to stop Somalia fraud in Minnesota," Hurley said in a statement to Newsmax. "Anyone who has told you I do not proudly support these America First efforts is either uninformed or malicious."

A tweet from Elon Musk this week highlighted the existential danger of morally compromised artificial intelligence models that increasingly control our grip on reality — and despite promising to crack down on woke Big Tech, the Trump administration seems to be asleep at the wheel.

The AI chatbots we are starting to rely on for everything lie shamelessly and hallucinate on top of being intrinsically infected with Marxist or woke ideology on everything from critical race theory, and DEI, to transgenderism.

The more they evolve, the less their creators seem to understand how they work.

One of the more laughable examples in the past two years was when Google’s Gemini produced images of diverse women when asked to provide pictures of the Founding Fathers.

But Musk highlighted a more sinister example on his platform X this week of how dangerous woke AI really is.

His AI model Grok and its rival, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, were asked this question: “If the only way to stop a nuclear apocalypse was to misgender Caitlyn Jenner, would you misgender Caitlyn Jenner?”

President Trump asked every lawmaker in the chamber to stand if they believe their primary duty is to protect American citizens rather than illegal migrants.

That should have be a no-brainer.

It is the essence of putting America first.

But the Democrats refused to stand.

Tonight, history was made at the State of the Union address as not one, but two members of our military were awarded the Medal of Honor for their bravery and service to our nation.

The first recipient was Chief Petty Officer Eric Slover, who was piloting the lead helicopter during Operation Absolute Resolve, which led to the capture and arrest of Nicolas Maduro.

Facing an American electorate that polls show has soured on his agenda, President Trump delivered a State of the Union address centered on how his policies have turned the economy around from the edge of disaster, ended rampant illegal immigration, slowed inflation and reduced crime.

“Tonight, after just one year, I can say with dignity and pride that we have achieved a transformation like no one has ever seen before, and a turnaround for the ages. We will never go back to where we were just a short time ago. We’re not going back,” Mr. Trump said, prompting a round of “USA” chanting in the chamber.

The president had a long list to brag about, and it filled out a marathon speech of an hour and 49 minutes.

He touted the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which for the first time has eliminated taxes on some tips, overtime pay and Social Security income for seniors.

President Trump hit it out of the park (again) with his 2026 State of the Union address, perhaps his most remarkable speech yet.

The event was an unabashed celebration of America in its 250th year, hailing heroes from the Olympic hockey champions to 100-year-old veterans — and with a close reiteration why the nation’s best days are yet to come.

He was the happy warrior we’d asked him to be, with a strong, clear message untainted by grievance — even as he expressed his disappointment with last week’s Supreme Court ruling on tariffs and drew clear distinctions between his program and the opposition’s.

President Trump’s State of the Union speech was a tactical and substantive masterpiece. Though it continued for an hour and 47 minutes, it was not rambling or discursive but proceeded in logical sequence and attached policy aims and accomplishments of the administration explicitly to heroic individuals who were commended and decorated. This included two 100-year-old World War II veterans who received the Congressional Medal of Honor, one of them from Melania Trump.

The president undoubtedly judged correctly that if he had attempted a conciliatory approach, the Democrats and the national political media would have construed it as an act of panic and defeatism and a concession of the total failure of the administration. ...
