Prominent attorney Alan Dershowitz and legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, Friday on Fox News, called out New York Judge Juan Merchan for his updated sentencing schedule, saying that city officials and the judge brought a “sham trial” against President-elect Donald Trump.

With fewer than three weeks until Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, Merchan released a filing Friday evening ordering that Trump’s sentencing in his New York case be scheduled for Jan. 10, writing that there is “no legal impediment” to impose the former president’s sentencing. On “Hannity,” guest host Jason Chaffetz questioned the two legal pundits about their views. Dershowitz, given the case’s political motivations, asked if Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul could pardon Trump.

“This is the worst instance of Stalinism in my 60-year career. Stalin was told, ‘Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.’ So Letitia James, the Democratic attorney general, and Alvin Bragg, the Democratic DA, tried to find a crime to convict Trump of, but they couldn’t,” Dershowitz said. “They couldn’t find the crime. They searched the books. They couldn’t find the crime, so they made one up out of whole cloth. A totally made-up case. If they can make up a case against Donald Trump, they can make it up against you too.”

“Now they’re trying to avoid him getting an appeal. One way of avoiding him getting an appeal was not sentencing him. Now they’re going to sentence him,” Dershowitz added. “There’s another possibility. The governor may pardon him. If the governor pardons him, then he still has the stigma of a conviction, and there’s a question about whether he can appeal if he’s been pardoned.”

During Trump’s trial, questions arose regarding President Joe Biden and his Department of Justice’s involvement in the case. Bragg added Biden’s former acting associate attorney general to his team in December 2022 to lead the probe into the Trump Foundation. Others, like Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, have called Bragg’s case against Trump “politically motivated,” arguing that a pardon would be “appropriate.”

“They’re looking at every possible way of avoiding an appellate reversal because any decent appellate court, any decent appellate court, will reverse this conviction for a dozen different reasons. One, there was no crime. Two, there was immunity. Three, error after error after error. Four, recusal and disqualification. The worst criminal case in my memory. The worst,” Dershowitz said.

Jarrett then jumped in and said Merchan is attempting to “stain” Trump with a convicted felon “label” before his inauguration. The case, Jarrett added, was “politically driven” by Bragg and the “hostile judge.”

Joe Biden is ending his weak, lame-duck presidency with disgrace after disgrace after … disgrace.

In fact, Biden’s tenure in the Oval Office has seemed like a slow, steady, rolling train of scandals, bigger scandals and disgraces, left and right. But in the final weeks, the lame-duck president has wracked up even more ahead of the incoming Trump administration.

First, the president gave his felon son, Hunter Biden, an unprecedented blanket pardon. Not only that, he and his staff repeatedly assured the public he would not issue a pardon for Hunter. In private, however, he had been discussing the option since Hunter’s conviction in June, according to NBC News. Biden did his fellow Americans dirty, and his public statement announcing the pardon completely betrayed his entire schtick of being the honest, forthright adult in the room — so much so that the entire statement reads like a bald-faced lie. “For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth. They’ll be fair-minded. Here’s the truth: I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice — and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision,” the president said.

Biden followed up Hunter’s pardon with a slew of commutations for depraved murderers, rapists, drug traffickers and cartel leaders. He commuted the sentences of Richard Allen Jackson, who confessed to raping and killing a recent college graduate in North Carolina, and Ricardo Sanchez Jr. and Daniel Troya, who murdered a family of four on a highway. The president even commuted the sentences of a man who kidnapped and murdered a 12-year-old and her mother and another man involved in the drug-related murders of 12 people. The latter reportedly said of his victims, “Their moms will pay. Their kids will pay. … I’m dedicated to their death, man.” All in all, the record-setting grant of clemency included 1,500 individuals.

The U.S. House of Representatives on Jan. 3 elected Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) to reprise his role leading the lower chamber.

In a 218–215 vote, Johnson was elected on the first ballot despite short-lived hiccups early in the vote.

There were initially signs of a brewing mutiny among the House GOP caucus, as several members—beginning with Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Chip Roy (R-Texas)—expressed reservations or outright opposition to Johnson.

Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem, but with Republicans controlling just 219 seats, one above the majority threshold, Johnson needed the support of all but one member of his conference.

Despite President-elect Donald Trump’s endorsement of Johnson, there was no certainty about the outcome as the 119th Congress gathered for its opening day.

Seeking to head off the challenges to his bid for the gavel, Johnson released a statement after the opening of the Congress, promising “an end to the status quo, and a return to fiscal sanity.”

The Wisconsin Elections Commission voted unanimously to open an investigation after nearly 200 absentee ballots in Madison were found uncounted.

Officials are seeking to determine whether Madison City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl abused her discretion or failed to comply with state law, AP reports.

Commission members said they were concerned the clerk’s office didn’t inform them of the problem until late December, almost a month and a half after the election. Commission Chair Ann Jacobs certified Wisconsin’s election results on Nov. 29.

Witzel-Behl’s office said in a statement that the number of uncounted votes didn’t affect the outcome of any race or referendum on the ballots. But Jacobs said the oversight was “so egregious” that the commission must determine what happened and how it can be prevented as spring elections approach.

“We are the final canvassers,” Jacobs said. “We are the final arbiters of votes in the state of Wisconsin and we need to know why those ballots weren’t included anywhere.” (AP)

The commission first became aware of the uncounted ballots on Dec. 18 when Witzel-Behl’s staff told the commission that records indicated more ballots were received than tallied in three city wards.

The commission asked Witzel-Behl to provide a detailed statement, which she did two days later. The memo stated that on Nov. 12, the clerk’s office discovered 67 unprocessed ballots for Ward 65 and one unprocessed ballot for Ward 68 in a courier bag found in a vote tabulating machine.

The memo also stated that her office was reconciling ballots for Ward 56 on Dec. 3 when 125 unprocessed ballots were discovered in a sealed courier bag. Reconciliation is a post-election process in which officials account for every ballot created. That work begins immediately after an election. Clerks have 45 days to complete it.

The memo does not offer any explanation, saying only that the clerk’s office planned “to debrief these incidents and implement better processes.” (AP)

A Dec. 26 statement from the clerk's office said in the "interest of full transparency" each voter affected will be notified and issued an apology letter.

"Moving forward, every polling location will receive a list of absentee envelope seal numbers that will be verified as counted on Election Day," the statement added. "The goal of the Clerk’s Office is that each eligible voter will be able to cast a ballot and have that ballot counted. Falling short of this goal for the November 2024 Election, we sincerely apologize to our voters and will strive to make sure this never happens again."

In a surprising move, outgoing President Joe Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Director Steven Dettelbach tendered his resignation on December 20 with an effective date of January 18, 2025, just days before Trump is inaugurated. This leaves the agency amidst growing scrutiny and political pressure. The resignation comes at a time when the ATF has been at the center of heated debates over gun control policies and the Biden administration's efforts to suppress the Second Administration. Critics have pointed to the agency's handling of specific initiatives and its controversial stance on gun regulations. In contrast, others argue the resignation could be part of a broader shakeup in response to challenges in enforcing the administration's policies. His sudden departure before Trump takes office raises questions about the future direction of the ATF and its role in the ongoing national conversation about gun control.

“Pursuant to the Memorandum for Presidential Appointees on Guidance on Letters of Resignation dated December 18, 2024, I hereby tender my resignation as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF), effective as of January 18, 2025,” a statement read. “It was the honor of my professional career to serve at ATF in your Administration. As you said when nominating me to be ATF Director, ‘The mission of this agency isn’t controversial. It’s public safety.’ I have now seen the brave and talented people at ATF live out your words for years. And we have realized results.”

Critics cheered Dettelbach's exit from the ATF, whose far-left stance on gun control was a Republican’s primary concern. While working as an attorney in Ohio, Dettelbach supported strict gun laws and firmly enforced existing firearm regulations. He had publicly advocated for measures, including the expansion of background checks and banning assault weapons. Republicans said his views threatened the Second Amendment and feared that Dettelbach would push aggressive gun control policies through the ATF.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arm’s (CCRKBA) chairman Alan Gottlieb said that Dettelbach’s departure is “one less person Trump will have to fire after he takes office, and it is one less gun prohibition lobbyist on the government payroll.” He urged Trump to hire an ATF director who would not politicize the ATF, which regulates firearms.

Anyone who has followed my columns on this platform will recall me writing on any number of occasions a reminder about the promise to “fundamentally transform” the United States of America made by then candidate Barack Hussein Obama way back in 2008, during the time he was making his first run for the presidency against the Republican candidate John McCain.

Obama prefaced his “fundamental transformation” comment by declaring that “the United States was the greatest country on earth.” It always struck me as curious why, if something was indeed “the greatest,” that it needed to be “fundamentally transformed” at all. Certainly no one in the so-called mainstream media that was so enamored with Barack Obama ever questioned him about that.

Of course Obama was given a pass by the media for much about his past. The news media that would make a proctologist green with envy about where and how far they were willing to go to dig up dirt on any Republican political figure, seemed completely and curiously disinterested in anything about Barack Hussein Obama’s past.

They did it all once again back during the 2020 presidential election when the news media showed a complete lack of interest in Joe Biden’s shenanigans, and were willing to accept at face value the letter signed by fifty-one supposed intelligence professionals that Hunter Biden’s laptop was simply Russian disinformation. Many of the signatures affixed to that letter were former senior officials from the CIA and other members of the intelligence community.

Yes some were nothing more than political appointees to senior positions, they really had no prior experience in intelligence work so their lack of any real intelligence credentials is understandable, and they obviously were agreeing with the letter based solely on pure politics. But many of the others had risen to very senior positions within our government, so if they honestly agreed with the contents of the letter then it certainly calls into question how suited they really were for the high level positions they had once held.

Republican lawmakers are calling for answers from Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen after the department was hacked by one of China’s intelligence agencies.

In a letter to Yellen, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and Rep. French Hill (R-AR) share their concerns about protocols at the department for protecting sensitive information and ask for a briefing on the “major cybersecurity incident.”

As Townhall previously reported, hackers remotely accessed workstations and unclassified documents through a third-party software service provider.

“We write regarding the major cybersecurity incident that the Department of the Treasury disclosed to the Senate Banking and House Financial Services Committees yesterday involving a China state-sponsored Advanced Persistent Threat actor breaking into Treasury’s computer systems and remotely accessing information maintained by Treasury users," wrote Scott, ranking member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and Hill, House Financial Services Committee Vice Chair.

"This breach of federal government information is extremely concerning," the letter added. "As you know, Treasury maintains some of the most highly sensitive information on U.S. persons throughout government, including tax information, business beneficial ownership, and suspicious activity reports. This information must be vigilantly protected from theft or surveillance by our foreign adversaries, including the Chinese Communist Party, who seek to harm the United States. As such, the fact that a CCP-sponsored APT actor was able to access Treasury’s information systems is unacceptable and raises serious questions about the protocols for safeguarding sensitive federal government information from future cybersecurity incidents."

GOP moderates are warning House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., to avoid former Speaker Kevin McCarthy's mistakes, reports Axios.

One of the lawmakers who spoke with the news outlet said there were "significant communications," including: "Don't give promises upon which you can't deliver. Don't give promises that require us to do things that we don't want to do, that are beyond reasonable."

McCarthy in 2023 became the first House speaker in U.S. history to be ousted after he struck a deal with Democrats to avert a federal government shutdown.

Retired U.S. Army Gen. Wesley Clark cautioned on Newsmax on Thursday against the potential release of tens of thousands of detained Islamic State group members and their families in Syria, warning of global security implications.

"Well, I think the big concern really, that I have is the ISIS members who've been detained in Syria," the former NATO supreme allied commander told "American Agenda."

"There's tens of thousands of them. They've been in prison camps. They're being guarded by the Syrian Democratic Front, which is a Kurdish organization supported by the United States.

"And we've got our advisers there. We've got firepower behind it to protect them."

Clark outlined the fragile dynamics surrounding the detained Islamic State group members. The Syrian Democratic Forces, who currently oversee the camps, face pressure from various fronts, including Turkey and Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, a faction gaining influence in Syria.

Clark warned that if the detainees were released, it could echo the chaos caused by the mass release of prisoners in Afghanistan before the U.S. pullout.

"There's no rehabilitation possible, and there's none attempted. They're just incarcerated. Let them loose, and it will have global implications," he said.

In a post on Musk's social platform X, conservative activist Robby Starbuck urged the tech billionaire to consider taking legal action against outlets that framed the story as a vehicle malfunction. He included a screenshot of a Business Insider headline that detailed the incident.

"These headlines are sabotaging @Tesla's brand by making people think it caught on fire," Starbuck wrote. "There's about 1 Tesla fire for every 130 million miles traveled. Other cars have 1 every 18 million miles."

"Maybe it is time to do so," Musk responded.

After Shamsud-din Jabbar’s New Orleans attack turned a New Year’s celebration into violent tragedy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to show why it has forfeited the trust of the American people.

Jabbar affixed an ISIS flag to the pickup he drove at high speed into a crowd of revelers, killing at least 14 people.

Yet the FBI at first refused to call the attack what it plainly was: terrorism.

That’s even though it arrested a shocking 10 ISIS would-bes in 2024 alone, thankfully before they were able to carry out any attacks — including a 17-year-old in Arizona.

“This is not a terrorist event,” emphasized Alethea Duncan, assistant special agent in charge at the NOLA office.

Now the FBI has admitted what was obvious to everyone, including the killer’s brother — who said Jabbar had been radicalized.

An active member of the Army’s elite Special Forces shot himself in the head just before the explosion at the Trump Las Vegas hotel — but the FBI and local cops still do not know why he did it, authorities revealed on Thursday.

Matthew Livelsberger, 37, was found inside the vehicle with a “self-inflicted gunshot wound” to the head, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters.

McMahill added that a high-powered .50-caliber Desert Eagle handgun was found at Livelsberger’s.

His body was so badly burned, it was unrecognizable, authorities said.

HOUSTON – ISIS-inspired New Orleans terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar kept a bomb-making workbench in his ramshackle Texas trailer home — where a Quran was left open on a page about “slaying” in the name of Allah, exclusive photos obtained by The Post show.

Jabbar’s north Houston home was filled with chemical residue and chemical bottles, while an inventory of items seized by the FBI — left behind by investigators who raided his house on Wednesday — included a long list of compounds used in bomb-making.

His Quran was propped atop a bookshelf, a centerpiece in his living room, and open to a passage reading, “they fight in Allah’s cause, and slay and are slain; a promise binding…”

As 2024 finally ended and 2025 ushered in a renewed era of hope for tens of millions of Americans, we were again reminded that violence has become all too common in our country, as a radicalized terrorist mowed down New Year's Eve revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing 15 and injuring multiple others, and in another potential act of terror, a Tesla Cybertruck filled with fireworks exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, killing the driver and injuring several other people.

Whether from mentally disturbed individuals who shouldn't be on the streets, radicalized American citizens, terrorist organizations, or Mexican drug cartels, deadly violence isn't simply going to be waved away with a magic wand after President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office.

This brings us to the intentionally caused Biden-Harris Border Crisis™ and its worsening impact on our country and fellow citizens over the last four years.

Trump's incoming Border Czar, Tom Homan, told "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday that violence along the southern border is expected to initially increase as the administration begins to implement its plan to stop the madness.

Well, I think we may see more of it. I mean, President Trump — I’m not speaking for President Trump, but, you know, he is going to take action against the criminal cartels in Mexico. Criminal cartels in Mexico kill more American people than every terrorist organization in the world. Shutting down the border is going to put them out of business.

With another $5.9B of taxpayer dollars given to Ukraine for the purpose of inflicting carnage on a world superpower, the probability of nuclear war just got a tick higher. The aid undoubtedly means the prospect of a ceasefire will dwindle but peace is still on the horizon.

The return of President Donald Trump to the Oval Office and world stage signals more than just a return to the normalcy of a President actually in command of his own foreign policy vision. It signifies a return of the war between American populists who preach “no more foreign wars” and legacy servants of the foreign policy “blob” who think they’ve earned the ability to guide American interests abroad.

Disciples from each faction clashed often during President Trump’s first term and many acolytes of the blob like John Bolton enjoyed a direct ear to the Commander-in-Chief. Underscoring the tension was the resignation of another blob acolyte, Trump’s Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, who quit because he disagreed with withdrawing troops from Syria.

When examining President Trump’s second Administration it’s obvious that the warhawks and neocons have been shut out from influencing policy from high-ranking perches. Leaving both Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo out of the cabinet was the first indication but nothing exemplifies Team Trump’s pivot away from blob influence more than the selection of incoming NATO Ambassador Matthew Whitaker. He’s a newcomer to the international arena, but that’s exactly why he’s in a prime position to defeat the blob en route to helping America avert a broader confrontation with Russia.

What is “the Blob?”

Defining the blob isn’t easy because it’s just as structureless and amorphous as it sounds. But through identifying who the blob is, it becomes clearer how the Ukraine-Russia conflict determines the direction of its power and credibility.

What a way to ring in the New Year, and I don’t mean that in a comical way. It was a total nightmare, where bombings and acts of terrorism are capping off the final weeks of Joe Biden’s America, which he’s left crime-ridden and poor. On New Year’s Day, Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, an Army veteran, rammed through people on Bourbon Street and then proceeded to open fire on other pedestrians who were still out celebrating. Fifteen people were killed, with at least another 30 wounded. Police gunned him down. The man had pledged allegiance to ISIS.

In Las Vegas, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside of the Trump Hotel. The driver was killed, and several others were injured. Blessedly, it wasn’t a mass casualty event. The only person who died was the bomber, who rigged the vehicle with firework mortars and gasoline cans. It was an intentional event. And yet, our FBI doesn’t know what to think, do, or say. They said Nola wasn’t an act of terrorism.

Leah had the story earlier this morning: Texas native Shamsud Din-Jabbar, 42, drove his truck into a crowd in New Orleans during the New Year’s Day festivities and then began to open fire on innocent bystanders. Fifteen people are dead, with at least another 30 injured. His vehicle had an ISIS flag. The truck was rented by Turo and crossed the border from Mexico on November 16. It had been driven by someone else. The attack occurred at 3:15 AM local time. Explosives were found at the scene, with officials now saying that there’s evidence Mr. Din-Jabbar did not act alone, pointing to a coordinated terrorist attack.

Regarding IEDs, the French Quarter has been swept and cleared. There was potential for this attack to be deadlier. IEDs were also discovered in the truck driven by Jabbar (via Associated Press):

The FBI is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism and said it does not believe the driver acted alone. An Islamic State group flag was found on the vehicle’s trailer hitch, the FBI said.

Guns and pipe bombs were also found in the vehicle, according to a Louisiana State Police intelligence bulletin obtained by The Associated Press. The devices, which were concealed within coolers, were wired for remote detonation, the bulletin said, and a corresponding remote control was discovered inside the vehicle.

The FBI said other potential explosive devices were also located in the French Quarter. According to the intelligence bulletin, surveillance footage captured three men and a woman placing one of multiple improvised explosive devices.

The FBI identified the driver as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas and said it is working to determine Jabbar’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations.

“We do not believe that Jabbar was solely responsible,” Alethea Duncan, an assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s New Orleans field office, said at a news conference.

Five Propaganda Hoaxes That Blew Up In The Media’s Face In 2024

The media had a rough year, a dishonest one, worsened only by a high-stakes election — that’s something to both celebrate and lament.

Month after month, corporate media opened up a firehose of propaganda, the worst of which was that President Joe Biden was as energetic as a spring chicken and brighter than an MIT math whiz. It was such a naked lie that it’s hard to believe it was spread so far and wide. But it was.

Corporate media’s failure to seek truth should be celebrated, yet it should also serve as a warning. They still have power, if a little, to protect the corrupt and powerful, and push narratives that harm the country. On that note, it’s worth revisiting their worst hoaxes, starting with one of the earliest of the year.

American Bloodbath

At a rally in March, then-candidate Donald Trump discussed China’s plan to manufacture cars in Mexico and then sell them across the southern border, which would have decimated U.S. auto workers. He issued a drastic warning using the rather apt word “bloodbath” that liberal corporate media took way out of context.

“We’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those guys — if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country,” he said.

In the next 24 hours, Politico, Mediaite, MSNBC, NPR, The New York Times, and others all ran disingenuous headlines, while liberal pundits pretended that Trump was calling for a wave of political violence if he lost.


The Gold Stars Grimace

Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery in August to honor the 13 soldiers killed during the Biden administration’s disastrous retreat from Afghanistan three years prior. Kamala Harris, her campaign and liberal media attempted to make Trump’s appearance a massive political scandal, with the vice president leading the charge.

“As Vice President, I have had the privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery several times. It is a solemn place; a place where we come together to honor American heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of this nation. It is not a place for politics,” Harris said. She also went on to spread more hoaxes that Trump disparaged fallen vets and called them “suckers” and “losers.”

“This is nothing new from Donald Trump. This is a man who has called our fallen service members ‘suckers’ and ‘losers’ and disparaged Medal of Honor recipients. A man who, during a previous visit to the cemetery, reportedly said of fallen service members, ‘I don’t get it. What was in it for them?'”

However, eight Gold Star families spoke out against Harris, and said that they invited Trump to the ceremony. They also noted that Harris had never reached out to them since they lost their children in Kabul in 2021.


A Taste Of Her Own Medicine

Trump set the media into a fit of rage-filled dishonesty after he said on Halloween that war hawk Liz Cheney should get a taste of her own medicine.

“I think it hurts Kamala a lot actually, [Cheney’s] a deranged person, but the reason she couldn’t stand me is that she always wanted to go to war with people. I don’t want to go to war,” Trump said of Kamala Harris’s choice to campaign with Cheney. “She wanted to go — she wanted to stay in Syria. I took them out. She wanted to stay in Iraq. I took them out. I mean, if it were up to her, we’d be in 50 different countries. She’s a radical war hawk.”

“Let’s put her with a rifle, standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it … when the guns are trained on her face,” Trump said. “You know, they’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, ‘Gee, let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy.'”

Countless pundits and outlets portrayed Trump’s common-sense remark as a call for Cheney to face a firing squad.

FBI Identifies Suspected Terrorist in New Orleans Attack; Death Toll Rises to 15

The suspect was named as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who was killed in a firefight with police. The FBI says he may have had help.

The FBI has identified the suspect who carried out an attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day that left at least 15 dead and dozens more injured.

The individual has been identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen who lived in Texas, according to the FBI in a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon.

An ISIS flag was discovered in the Ford pickup truck that Jabbar was driving, the FBI said, referring to the Islamist terrorist group that had controlled swaths of Syria and Iraq about a decade ago.

“The FBI is working to determine the subject’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations,” the statement reads.

During a news briefing on Wednesday afternoon, Alethea Duncan, an assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s New Orleans field office, said investigators do not believe Jabbar was “solely responsible” for the attack as the investigation continues.

“We are aggressively running down every lead, including those of his known associates,” Duncan told the news conference, while asking for the public’s assistance in the case.

Journos who joined gaslighting on Biden’s decline should never live it down

President-elect Donald Trump is forcing the Democratic politicians who spent years lying about President Biden’s senility to take their bitter medicine, but we’re more concerned about the toady media who played along.

Trump on Monday posted a video showing clip after cringe-worthy clip of Democratic leaders from Rep. Nancy Pelosi to Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas denying again and again that Biden was mentally and physically deteriorating, claiming he was “sharp,” “on his game,” “focused” and that “his age is an asset.”

Every last one deserves scorn, but so do the journalists who not only let these fantastical fibs go unchallenged, but even parroted the lies: Biden was showing no signs of mental decline, they insisted — and it was offensive, ignorant and borderline bigoted to even suggest otherwise.

Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, R-Tenn., told Newsmax on Wednesday that President Joe Biden has a "rather lackadaisical approach to terror" following an attack during a New Year's Day celebration in New Orleans that killed at least 10 and injured dozens of others.

Fleischmann appeared on "Newsline" to react to the incident, in which a man identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, of Texas, drove a pickup truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning, when the area was crowded with people celebrating the new year.

Fleischmann said he felt "utter and profound sadness, anger, frustration" upon hearing about the incident.

"Perhaps one of the biggest frailties of the existing administration has been this rather lackadaisical approach to terror," as well as "open and porous borders," Fleischmann said.

The Democrats got rolled in 2024. They’ll never admit it, but they emptied their magazines at Donald J. Trump literally, and he still won. Joe Biden was booted after his disastrous and election-killing debate performance in June. Kamala Harris was viewed as a prevaricating, cackling moron by most voters. The Biden and Harris camps are likely waging a covert war against one another in the blame game. The main gripe appears to be that Biden took too long to drop out. That wasn’t his decision—he was booted in a coup. Democrats had time to turn this around and maybe nudge Biden off the ticket before it was too late, and it started last February.

When Special Counsel Robert Hur dropped his report on his investigation into Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified information, his annotations about Biden being a frail man with memory issues sent Democrats into a rage despite no charges being filed. Why so serious, Democrats?

Is it because you knew for years that Biden was potentially mentally cooked? CNN’s top legal analyst, Elie Honig, a former assistant US attorney, noted Hur’s notes on Biden’s mental health were following department policy. He might disagree with his wording, but these investigators must include anything that could be problematic for the prosecution at trial. Joe, being viewed as an old frail man with a bad memory, might be sympathetic to a jury.

Honig also said that Biden misled the American people when he declared himself totally exonerated. There are tapes of Biden acknowledging he took classified materials and stored them improperly at his house. They were about the Afghanistan War.

When Hur testified before Congress about his findings in March, it made for a most anti-climactic showdown. Hur stood by his report, including Biden’s fried memory, and was able to outmaneuver and brush off most of the Democrats’ hysterics over his keen and accurate observations about the president’s mental health. Hur was smeared as a biased Republican. Wrong—he’s credible. It’s the same problem Democrats encountered when they tried to discredit the IRS whistleblowers about the Justice Department’s interference in their investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes. One IRS agent, Joseph Ziegler, is a Democrat.
