The House Oversight Committee is taking the Biden administration to task for refusing to hand over documentation that is critical for the impeachment inquiry that was launched in 2023. This could be the beginning of a contentious political battle in the nation’s capital as top House committee chairs are intensifying their efforts to obtain early drafts of a 2015 speech given by then-Vice President Joe Biden in Ukraine.

It is believed that during this speech, Biden called for the firing of former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating corruption related to Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company. Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, was serving on Burisma’s board of directors, which has prompted speculation that Joe Biden was using his position to help his son.

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY), House Committee on the Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), and House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) sent a letter on Wednesday to White House Counsel Edward Siskel, demanding that the administration provide the documents.

The inquiry is part of the investigation to determine the extent to which President Biden was involved in his son’s foreign business dealings. The letter read, in part:

The internet isn't a safe place, but if we're being completely honest, that unsafe part of it is partly what makes it valuable. Freedom and chaos are cousins and you can't have one without having elements of the other.

Earlier today, I watched Missouri Senator Josh Hawley effectively directed Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, to apologize to the families of those who were harmed by his platforms. Many of these or their families sat in the audience during the hearing. Zuckerberg, clearly stuck between an angry mob and an angrier Senator, did what he had to do. He stood up and apologized to them, vowing to make the platform safer in the future.

Fulton County DA Fani Willis just keeps accumulating trouble like a bad penny.

As we reported earlier, the DA who is pursuing former President Donald Trump in an election case, is now facing a new report that after a whistleblower came to her about alleged possible misuse of funds, she was fired.


BREAKING: @FreeBeacon has obtained audio of a whistleblower privately warning Fani Willis in 2021 that her top aide was trying to misuse federal funds.

Willis did not dispute the allegations.

Yet this it the person thinking that she can pursue Trump for anything? That sounds like some big trouble for Wilis.


Now, there's more bad news for Willis in regard to the election case.

Ashleigh Merchant, the attorney for one of the other defendants in the case, Michael Roman, has now hit Fani Willis and her alleged paramour Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor in the case, with subpoenas requiring them to testify in the case later in February. The court is having a hearing on Feb. 15 over the allegations of the relationship. Roman is seeking to have the case dismissed because of the relationship between Willis and Wade.

Merchant also filed suit against the DA's office on Tuesday claiming that they weren't providing the information she had requested from them as they were required to.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and a special prosecutor she hired for the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump have been issued subpoenas by a defense attorney who has alleged Willis and the prosecutor had an inappropriate romantic relationship.

Lawyer Ashleigh Merchant, who represents Trump co-defendant Michael Roman, filed a motion Jan. 8 seeking to dismiss the indictment and to remove Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade from the case.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who is presiding over the election case, has ordered Willis' team to respond by Friday to the motion and to remove Willis from the prosecution. He has set a hearing on the matter for Feb. 15. Merchant confirmed that she has subpoenaed both Willis and Wade to testify at that hearing.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Mark Zuckerberg that the Meta CEO and other social media companies have "blood on your hands" for failing to protect children against online child sexual exploitation.

Zuckerberg was among several social media CEOs who appeared Wednesday at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in Washington, D.C.

Graham, the ranking member, began his opening statement by saying Republicans on the committee are ready to work with Chairman Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and other Democrats in their efforts to stop the exploitation.

The South Carolina senator then mentioned Rep. Brandon Guffey, R-S.C., whose son committed suicide after using Instagram and being tricked by "a group in Nigeria," which threatened to release sexual photos unless the youngster paid money. The practice is termed "sextortion."

"Mr. Zuckerberg, you and the companies before us … I know you don't mean for it to be … but you have blood on your hands," said Graham, earning applause by hearing attendees.

A convoy of protesters calling itself "God's Army" is making its way to the U.S. southern border, with organizers having an ambitious goal of attracting 700,000 people or more to expose the Biden administration's lax immigration policies.

"To the naysayers: We're just ordinary citizens, farmers, ranchers, retired police officers. Not crazy conspiracy theorists," Kim Yeater, an organizer for Take Our Border Back, told the New York Post. "It will be a peaceful assembly of Americans of all political classes and all ethnicities."

Yeater's group left Virginia and Monday and stopped overnight in Florida, hoping to rally more people. The Post reported vans and trucks had joined the growing convoy in Jacksonville, Florida, on Tuesday morning as it prepared to head through Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana and into Quemado, Texas, about 20 miles north of the border town of Eagle Pass, Texas, where a rally will be held Saturday.

"We've got Canadian truckers, moms and dads," Yeater told the Post. "We've got motorcycles. If people could bring horses, they'd bring horses. I know the numbers we are looking at are 700,000. I think it'll possibly be bigger than that."

The House Homeland Security Committee gave initial approval Wednesday morning of articles on impeachment against Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, saying his mismanagement of the border should make him the first sitting Cabinet member ever to be impeached.

The two articles of impeachment passed the panel on a party-line 18-15 vote just after 1 a.m.

Speaker Mike Johnson has signaled he wants a quick floor vote to follow, and Republicans said the eventual outcome is certain.

“We’re going to impeach him because he has broken the law,” said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Georgia Republican. “He has violated his oath of office. He is breaking federal immigration law. Americans are dying. It’s the No. 1 issue all over the country.”

Democrats acknowledged they have little chance of derailing the impeachment in the full House, and spent much of the day laying the groundwork for Mr. Mayorkas’ defense when the matter moves to the Senate.

They accused Republicans of using impeachment to try to scuttle the ongoing bipartisan negotiations in the Senate over border security, saying the GOP is trying to deliver a political issue to former President Donald Trump in his looming election rematch with President Biden.

Hoover Institute senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson stated Tuesday on Fox News that President Joe Biden appeared to be “leading” Americans to war, advising the leader to return some of former President Donald Trump’s foreign policies.

Hanson appeared on “Hannity” to discuss recent tensions between American and Iran following the killing of three service members due to a Jordan drone attack. Fox host Sean Hannity asked the senior fellow his thoughts on the threat America poses to the Middle East country, highlighting how we could attack at any time. This is gonna leave a mark. On Democrats, I mean.

Former President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) cited Trump's "historic" Abraham Accords treaty as the reason for the nomination.

The Abraham Accords, signed at the Trump White House on September 15, 2020, consisted of dual agreements in which both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain recognized Israel's sovereignty, enabling the establishment of full diplomatic relations with the Jewish State.

Tenney told Fox News Digital in a statement that Trump's achievement proved foreign policy experts and international organizations wrong.

Donald Trump was instrumental in facilitating the first new peace agreements in the Middle East in almost 30 years. For decades, bureaucrats, foreign policy 'professionals', and international organizations insisted that additional Middle East peace agreements were impossible without a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Trump proved that to be false.

As Tenney continued to laud the former president, she also took a well-deserved shot at the Nobel Peace Prize Committee for ignoring Trump's achievement.

The valiant efforts by President Trump in creating the Abraham Accords were unprecedented and continue to go unrecognized by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, underscoring the need for his nomination today.

Now more than ever, when Joe Biden’s weak leadership on the international stage is threatening our country’s safety and security, we must recognize Trump for his strong leadership and his efforts to achieve world peace. I am honored to nominate former President Donald Trump today and am eager for him to receive the recognition he deserves.

This wasn't Trump's first Nobel nomination — it was actually his fourth.


In 2020, Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, who applauded Trump's efforts in "resolving protracted conflicts worldwide," first nominated the then-president.

Two days after three American troops were killed, and dozens more injured in an overnight drone strike in northeast Jordan, Cotton said Iran and its terrorist proxies are exploiting a "weak" and "cowardly" president.

"[President] Joe Biden is weak and pathetic and cowardly," Cotton said on Hugh Hewitt's podcast. "You don't deter people like the ayatollahs who govern Iran by going on TV and saying, Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. Kyeyune probably is here referring to Dilbert’s creator, Scott Adams, a trained hypnotist who has propounded this insight. And to me, professionally recognized as one of the world’s top 100 nonclinical hypnotists, who has propounded this idea at Newsmax, Fortune, Forbes and the Journal of Hypnotism.

For decades, progressives have dreamed of changing Texas from a “red” Republican state to a “blue” Democrat one. This dream is realistic because Democrats have succeeded in turning several western states “blue.”

For example, California was the state that launched the political career of President Ronald Reagan. Prior to his presidency, Reagan served two terms as Governor of California. Today, California is a progressive wasteland, rapidly losing population and businesses.

Not long ago, Republicans controlled Washington, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado. Today, Democrats either totally or partially lead those states.

One of the major reasons these states have become Democrat bastions is the influx of Hispanic immigration, both legal and illegal. In the last midterm election, a survey showed that 64% of Hispanic voters supported Democrat candidates, while only 33% supported Republican candidates.

Thus, boosting the size of the Hispanic population helps improve the political chances for Democrats. It is certainly a major reason Democrats, like President Biden, encouraged undocumented migrants to cross our border. Former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro's four-month prison sentence for defying a congressional subpoena is just the latest example of a "double-tiered" judicial system that's used to "settle political scores," legal analysts say.

Navarro received the sentence last week after his September conviction for criminal contempt of Congress. The charge carried a mandatory minimum of one month behind bars. Navarro had refused to testify and provide documents to the controversial House Select Committee investigating the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

President Joe Biden has transformed America’s southern border into a humanitarian catastrophe and a national security nightmare. This bloody, deadly mess is a clear and present danger to this republic.

But this also is a massive fiscal threat. Biden’s obliteration of the border is evaporating federal, state, and local coffers.

Precise figures on anything illegal are, by definition, elusive. Nonetheless, the Federation for American Immigration Reform’s report, "The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers 2023," estimates that taxpayers bleed $182.1 billion in annual benefits to illegal aliens.

This includes $66.4 billion in federal spending and another $115.7 billion in state and local outlays to those who have broken into America.

Georgia's state Senate is forming a committee tasked with investigating anti-Trump DA Fani Willis. The investigative body, which will have six Republicans and three Democrats, has full subpoena power and the ability to require testimony given under oath.

By a 30-19 vote, the GOP-led upper house of Georgia's General Assembly greenlighted the special committee's creation Friday, passing a resolution (S.R. 465) proposed by Republican state Sen. Greg Dolezal, who serves as the Senate's chief deputy whip.

According to the five-page legislation's Jan. 22 filing, "it has come to the attention of the Georgia Senate, through public reports and court filings," that the Fulton County district attorney is accused of prosecutorial misconduct involving the "expenditure of significant public funds" to hire special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom Willis allegedly had—and may still have—an affair with.

If the affair allegations are proven to be true, the "clandestine" relationship would constitute "a clear conflict of interest and a fraud upon the taxpayers of Fulton County and the State of Georgia," the bill says, and establish grounds for the DA's recusal from the prosecution, "potentially delaying it indefinitely." Willis would also be subject to discipline by the State Bar of Georgia.

Former President Donald Trump Sunday called the unmanned drone attack that killed three American troops and wounded dozens of others "another horrific and tragic consequence of Joe Biden's weakness and surrender."

The attack "marks a horrible day for America," Trump said in a statement posted on social media. "My most profound sympathies go to the Families of the Brave Servicemembers we have lost. I ask all Americans to join me in praying for those who have been wounded."

The attack targeted forces stationed in northeast Jordan near the Syrian border, Biden and U.S. officials said Sunday.

"While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq," Biden said in a statement.

But Trump pointed out in his statement that three years ago "Iran was weak, broke, and totally under control" because of his maximum pressure policy.

Georgia GOP state Sen. Greg Dolezal said on Newsmax Monday that "the walls are closing in" on Fulton County Attorney General Fani Willis as she faces allegations of improperly using state and county funds for a corruption probe of Donald Trump and others.

In an interview on "Wake Up America," Dolezal said, "There's a lot of smoke, and we need to know how big the fire is."

"I think that there's a lot of questions that have to be answered. I think the walls, honestly, are closing in so that citizens and taxpayers can get those answers," he said. "We see Fulton County commissioners pressing for answers. We, in the state Senate, are pressing for answers. There's an ethics complaint filed with the county and then ultimately we also have the state forming the Prosecutor Oversight Commission.

"So where this goes, I think that there's a lot of questions still." According to Dolezal, lawmakers have to get to the bottom of what state and county funds were used in Willis' corruption investigation of the former president and several others — and in her "relationship" with a special prosecutor she hired to seek convictions of Donald Trump and others for interfering in Georgia's 2020 election.

"This is the big question: Was this, and is this, prosecution for personal profit?" Dolezal asked.

The House Homeland Security Committee released draft articles of impeachment Sunday against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

The first article of impeachment against Mayorkas is for “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” and the second is for “breach of the public trust,” according to a copy obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The committee held two hearings recently on impeachment proceedings against Mayorkas that centered around his handling of the southern border and heard the testimonies of Republican attorneys general, legal experts and mothers who’ve lost their kids to fentanyl and an MS-13 gang member. The first article surrounds the record levels of migrants coming illegally and getting released into the country that has happened under Mayorkas’ watch. One of the ways the committee believes Mayorkas played a role in the issue is through a September 2021 memo in which he directed his agency to limit immigration enforcement.

There are a whole lot of pundits out there, but there are a few who stand above the rest because they’re truly smart. I listen carefully for instance when George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley speaks, because he’s usually right on the money.

Another commentator who is always spot on is Victor Davis Hanson, the classicist, military historian, farmer, and political commentator, so I was very curious to see what he had to say about the $83.3 million awarded to columnist E. Jean Carroll in her defamation trial against former President Donald Trump. I had written that I thought the whole thing was absolutely ludicrous and wondered if Hanson would agree.

With about 1,300 individuals on terrorist watch lists having crossed the border since 2022 alone along with an estimated 1.8 million unknown background "gotaways" and many millions more unvetted "migrants" from more than 150 countries, a candid statement from one recent crosser communicates an ominous warning.

A social media video displays an illegal immigrant from the Mideast responding to a reporter asking his identity who states: "If you are smart enough you would know who I am. But you are really not smart enough to know who I am. Soon, you will know who I am. Believe me, you will see."

The current federal administration which is supposed to take charge of protecting all of us from those who are disposed to carry out such an obvious threat not only blatantly refuses to do so, but is actively obstructing border states from enacting self-defenses.

Left with no alternative, the State of Texas has passed legislation to accomplish what the Biden administration won’t … affirm and defend America’s status as a sovereign nation with controlled borders.

U.S. House Judiciary Committee Republicans revealed the latest example of the dangers of big government last week when they announced that the FBI had enlisted the help of the financial service industry to spy on Americans after the Jan. 6, 2021 riot.

The bureau asked banks to flag legal purchases of weapons at sporting goods stores, and even the purchase of religious texts such as Bibles.

The banks were also told to flag any accounts that used keywords such as "Trump" or "MAGA."

One of the banks that complied was financial services giant Bank of America (BoA).

The House Judiciary GOP posted to X:

"Shop at Bass Pro Shop recently? How about Cabela’s? Bought a bible?," they asked.

"If so, the federal government may be coming after YOU." They followed this up with a news release.

In light of the three American soldiers killed in the UAV attack on Sunday, Republicans are criticizing President Joe Biden for his weaknesses on the global stage.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) blamed Biden for the three American troops and 25 others injured in the drone attack in Jordan.

“There have been over 100 attacks against U.S. forces in the region. Iran is undeterred,” Graham said, adding, “I am sending my condolences to the families of our fallen heroes in Jordan. I am also wishing a full recovery to those injured. Our forces in Jordan and Syria are there to protect the American homeland and to provide stability in a troubled region. Their service and sacrifice will always be appreciated. They are true heroes.”

He urged Biden to strike down Iran as a “deterrence against future aggression,” saying that “Until they pay a price with their infrastructure and their personnel, the attacks on U.S. troops will continue.”

“The only thing the Iranian regime understands is force,” Graham continued. “Secretary Austin’s efforts to deter aggression against our forces in the region have failed miserably. I’ve long since lost confidence in the Biden national security team to deter Iran. If they do not change their policies now, more American service members in the region will pay the price. Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.”

House Republicans revealed two articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Sunday, accusing him of breaching the public trust through dishonesty and systematically subverting the immigration laws he’s required to enforce.

The House Homeland Security Committee is scheduled to hold a vote on Tuesday, and all committee Republicans have said they will back it. Speaker Mike Johnson says he will put the measure on the full House floor soon after.

Republicans say Mr. Mayorkas has earned the ignominy of becoming the first sitting Cabinet official to be impeached by “willfully” ignoring the laws Congress has passed to discourage illegal immigration and instead substituting catch-and-release policies that have fueled a total breakdown at the border.

“These articles lay out a clear, compelling, and irrefutable case for Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ impeachment,” said Rep. Mark Green, the Tennessee Republican who has led the impeachment proceedings. “His lawless behavior was exactly what the framers gave us the impeachment power to remedy. It is time we take this affront to a co-equal branch of government, to the Constitution and to the American people seriously.”

Trump: I Will Send Texas Reinforcements, Not a Restraining Order

Former President Donald Trump, speaking in a Commit to Caucus rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, promised that he will support Texas in its battle to secure the border, not push back against the state like the Biden administration is doing.

"When I'm president, instead of trying to send Texas a restraining order, I will send them reinforcements," Trump told the large crowd gathered at Big League Dreams sports park in Las Vegas.

"Instead of fighting border states, I will use every resource tool and authority of the U.S. president to defend the United States of America from this horrible invasion that is taking place right now," Trump said during the rally, which aired live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform.

He further vowed that he will "deploy all necessary military and law enforcement resources to seal up the final section of the border."

Biden family associate Rob Walker in a deposition Friday testified that Joe Biden in 2017 met with the leader of a Chinese government-linked company that paid millions to his family.

Walker made the statement during the House's impeachment inquiry into Biden and came after a prepared opening statement in which he claimed the president was "never involved" in his son's business dealings.

"Today we learned that Joe Biden met with the now-missing Chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming, as Hunter Biden and his associates received $3 million from a Chinese entity CEFC controlled. Evidence continues to reveal the Bidens sold the 'Biden Brand' to enrich the Biden family," House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer said in a statement.

"The Chinese company paid Hunter Biden and his associates $3 million shortly after Joe Biden left office as a 'thank you' for the work they did while Joe Biden was in office. Members of the Biden family received payments from the Chinese deal even though they did not work on it. This is the type of swampy influence peddling the American people want us to end," he added.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum told Newsmax on Saturday that the battle between the states and the federal government over whether to secure the southern border has turned into a "constitutional crisis." "This is a constitutional crisis.

As you know, this is a mass invasion," Burgum, a former candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, told "America Right Now."

"This debate," Burgum added, is "about national security, and it's about public safety. And so, of course, we stand with [Texas] Gov. [Greg] Abbott, because the federal government is really abdicating its responsibility."

On Monday, the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling, granted a request by the Biden administration to pause a lower court's ruling that temporarily blocked federal agents from disturbing razor wire while litigation over the issue proceeds.
