Now It’s FBI Director Chris Wray Who Says COVID 'Most Likely' Came From a Lab

Days after a bombshell report was dropped by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) which concluded that the COVID virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, FBI Director Christopher Wray publicly admitted that his agency agrees.

That doesn’t mean there’s consensus in the Biden Administration, however, even though we’re three years into the pandemic. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said Monday that despite DOE’s report, there’s still “not been a definitive conclusion.” It’s probably in a lot of people’s best interests that that point is never reached.

A coalition of 18 agencies and organizations make up the U.S. Intelligence Community, but they can’t decide on the origins of a novel coronavirus that evolved from bats and was first discovered near a Chinese biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) lab that studies bat viruses? Hmm.

We’ll start with Wray, who appeared on Fox News with “Special Report” host Brett Baier on Tuesday:

This week, the Department of Energy finally confirmed what we've been reporting for you since early 2020 about the true origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Energy Department now joins the Federal Bureau of Investigation in saying the virus likely spread via a mishap at a Chinese laboratory," an updated document from the National Security Council states. "The Energy Department's conclusion is the result of new intelligence and is significant because the agency has considerable scientific expertise and oversees a network of U.S. national laboratories, some of which conduct advanced biological research."

Unlike the rest of the media, we carefully listen and follow the facts. When former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said early on the virus could very well have come from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, we reported his statement.

Former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy are running on the Republican ticket for 2024. Several reports have indicated that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis could run as well, and polls are showing who Republicans will vote for.

In a hypothetical 10-person Republican presidential primary, Trump earns 55 percent of the vote, according to Emerson College’s latest poll released Tuesday. This included DeSantis, Haley, and Pence.
