On Navy Day, Putin Says United States Is Main Threat to Russia

President Vladimir Putin on Sunday signed a new naval doctrine which cast the United States as Russia's main rival and set out Russia's global maritime ambitions for crucial areas such as the Arctic and in the Black Sea.
Speaking on Russia's Navy Day in the former imperial capital of St Petersburg founded by Tsar Peter the Great, Putin praised Peter for making Russia a great sea power and increasing the global standing of the Russian state.
After inspecting the navy, Putin made a short speech in which he promised that what he touted as Russia's unique Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, cautioning that Russia had the military clout to defeat any potential aggressors.

Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, told Newsmax that the FBI ought not to invoke political bias when it comes to investigating Hunter Biden, or it could face Congressional oversight after the midterms, likely in a Republican-led committee.
Sessions' comment comes in light of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, announcing earlier on Newsmax that whistleblowers had informed him that a "very liberal, very partisan," man in the FBI dubbed "T-Bo" acted in a biased manner when he decided not to open an investigation into Hunter Biden, despite opening one on former President Donald Trump.
Speaking with "Saturday Report," Sessions said lawmakers were giving the FBI an opportunity to "properly, carefully, lawfully proceed under the law" to investigate Hunter. The congressman noted that if the FBI appears to act in a biased manner, then they could face Congressional oversight after the midterms.

Amid stalled Biden administration talks to rework the decertified Obama-era Iran nuclear deal, Iran is coming out to threats to "build nuclear warheads" and turning New York City into "hellish ruins."
Social media video posts from an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have translated the threat "to produce atomic warheads for missiles" in a short amount of time "if the U.S. or the Zionist regime make any stupid mistakes," with the capability of "turning New York into hellish ruins," The Jerusalem Post reported Sunday.
The posts cited the IRGC Telegram post that declared: "Iran can immediately return to Emad project and build an atomic bomb if Natanz facilities are attacked."
The Emad is the long-range Iranian missile, The Post reported.
