SHOCK POLL: Frank Luntz Shares the (Albeit Unscientific) Results on Zelensky Freakout--Trump Will Love It

Pollster Frank Luntz conducted a series of shock polls--albeit somewhat unscientific ones--on the X platform after Zelensky suffered a total freakout in the Oval Office meet-up with President Trump and VP Vance--and he released the final results on Saturday. As I highlight here, the polling is not real, but it's worth mulling over a snapshot like this, I think. And whatever your opinion on Luntz's biases, stick with me here.
As you'll see shortly, the Democrats will hate how many people answered, with the heat of a thousand dying suns--and what Luntz says it means for Tuesday's Joint Address to Congress will put a yuge smile on Pres. Trump's face. In case you missed the, well, incident on Friday, here are the latest stories at RedState:

Marco Rubio Defends Trump's Ukraine Strategy in Powerful Interview

In a fiery interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Secretary of State Marco Rubio strongly defended President Donald Trump’s strategy to Ukraine and Russia, outlining key points that set Trump’s strategy apart from current policies. Rubio sharply rebutted Collins' criticisms, emphasizing that Trump’s focus on peace and diplomatic pressure to secure negotiations was a more effective means to put Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy into his place.
Following the tense meeting between Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Zelenskyy, Collins overlooked Zelenskyy's combative behavior, which included his decision to antagonize and provoke Trump in the Oval Office rather than pursue a path to peace. Meanwhile, Rubio contended that if Zelenskyy had adopted a more cooperative approach during the meeting, the leaders could have signed the rare Earth minerals deal, benefiting both countries. However, Zelenskyy stormed out in anger, resulting in no agreement.

Gabbard on Russia-Ukraine War: Two Paths, 'Peace' or 'WWIII'

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said during an interview Sunday that an inflection point is nearing: a pursuit of "peace" or "World War III."
"Really, there's two viable paths here," Gabbard said on "Fox News Sunday." "One is that this war continues on as it has for over three years. More and more Ukrainians will lose their lives. ...
"[T]he alternative to this ... requires bringing interested parties to the table to conduct these negotiations. ... Neither side is going to be happy — very likely — with the outcome. But ultimately it needs to lead to peace," she continued.
"And that is what President [Donald] Trump is so committed to, because he recognizes that the longer this goes on, not only are more Ukrainians losing their lives but it increases the potential of this escalation toward World War III that he warned against — as he sat there with [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy — saying, 'He's gambling with World War III.' That is not a cost President Trump is willing to accept."

Exiled Amb.: Trump Kindles Freedom in Venezuela, Cuba

President Donald Trump's strong recent actions against Venezuela and Cuba is rekindling hope for freedom from those two dictatorships, according to exiled Nicaraguan Ambassador Arturo McFields.
"The U.S. is back and reassuming its leadership in Latin America," McFields, an exiled journalist, former Nicaraguan ambassador to the Organization of American States, wrote Sunday in an op-ed for The Hill. "This time, it will not hand power over to China, Iran, or any other Eastern Hemisphere power.
"Leadership through strength is fundamental. Like President Ronald Reagan, Trump is not willing to accept blackmail or pressure from any banana republic over key areas such trade, drug trafficking or migration. This administration is not afraid of conflict or controversy — on the contrary, it sees these as a necessary part of the path to change."
The proof is in the actions throughout Latin America, according to McFields.

The Border Patrol apprehended just 8,326 illegal immigrants at the southern border in February, President Trump announced Saturday, calling it the best month on record.
“The month of February, my first full month in Office, had the LOWEST number of Illegal Immigrants trying to enter our Country in History – BY FAR!” the president said on social media. “The Invasion of our Country is OVER.”
February’s figure tops the previous low of roughly 11,000 illegal immigrants apprehended by Border Patrol agents in April 2017, near the start of Mr. Trump’s previous term, when the president’s tough talk scared people into not making the journey.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is making gains in the diplomacy and influence game in Latin America, but so is the United States, and it’s still too early to call a winner.
In the CCP’s “South-South cooperation,” Beijing has reiterated its claim of being a “trustworthy” partner to Latin America, distancing itself from the notion that the region is any country’s “backyard.”
For example, during a meeting with Bolivia’s foreign minister, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the desire to strengthen China–Bolivia relations. Bolivia, with its significant economic ties to China, owes more than $1.7 billion in debt, highlighting the risks of aligning closely with Beijing.
The United States faces growing competition from China in Central America and South America, particularly as Chinese investments in energy and infrastructure challenge American dominance. The CCP has leveraged America’s trade threats, such as warnings of looming tariffs on Brazil, Mexico, and others, using these tensions to cultivate individual partnerships and offer an alternative source of economic support to Latin American nations.
Since taking office in 2013, Xi Jinping has visited Latin America at least five times, signing numerous bilateral agreements and comprehensive strategic partnerships with countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.

Canada ‘Open’ to Matching US Tariffs on China, Foreign Affairs Minister Says

Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly told reporters in Vancouver on Feb. 28 that Canada is “open” to talks about matching U.S. tariffs on China.
She noted that Canada already has tariffs on some components coming from China, as well as on electric vehicles.
”When it comes to the U.S. and their own concerns, we’re able to have conversations,” she said. “We are very open to have trade-related conversations, including when it comes to China.”
Joly said she could have that conversation with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while Finance Minister Dominique LeBlanc could talk to U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about it.
President Donald Trump recently announced a 10 percent levy on Chinese goods going into the United States. That is on top of a 10 percent tariff on China imposed on Feb. 4, which was also in addition to previously imposed tariffs.
The latest 10 percent tariff adder will go into effect on March 4, the same day that 25 percent tariffs on Canada and Mexico are scheduled to go into effect, according to Trump.

In the wake of a meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which was cut short after an argument at the Oval Office, President Donald Trump told reporters what his Ukrainian counterpart had to do to receive an invitation back to the White House.
“He’s got to say, ‘I want to make peace,’” Trump said while walking to board Marine One on Friday evening.
“He doesn’t have to stand there and say, ‘Putin this, Putin that,’ all negative things. He’s got to say, ‘I want to make peace. I don’t want to fight a war any longer.’ These people are dying. He doesn’t have the cards.”
Hours earlier, a meeting between the two parties in the Oval Office devolved into a shouting match. Matters broke down when Zelenskyy began to demand that the deal be changed to include more security guarantees from the United States before he signed the deal.
Trump told Zelenskyy in the Oval Office that Ukraine is “not in a very good position.”
“You don’t have the cards. With us, you have the cards,” Trump said.

Democrats, media still refusing to own the Biden-decline coverup

Democrats have learned nothing from the backlash to their constant lies about then-President Joe Biden’s mental decline.
In an interview with Puck, onetime top Biden aide Michael LaRosa admitted the obvious: The staff knew that the ex-prez’s “age was an issue” from “Day 1” and opted for “gaslighting” the public when his behavior raised alarms.
Yet in the same breath, he pushed back against calling this a “coverup” as “a little harsh.”
Not remotely harsh enough, in fact: That the Bidenites, Dems in general and most of the press kept up the deception so long has earned them a lasting distrust — and owning up to the wrong is the necessary first step in recovering any credibility.
Hence the broad contempt for journo Jake Tapper’s announcement that he’s co-authoring “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” due out May 20.
Yes, his co-author Alex Thompson of Axios stands out for not playing along with the coverup, but Tapper was one of the worst.

WH: Support Rolls in for Trump After Standoff With Zelenskyy

The White House said support was pouring in for President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance from Republican lawmakers and the Cabinet in the aftermath of the explosive meeting in the Oval Office on Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that prematurely ended negotiations.
Trump and Vance both chided Zelenskyy for debating Trump in the Oval Office in front of the American media ahead of what was supposed to be a day of finalizing terms for a rare earth minerals deal that the Trump administration hoped would be the prelude to a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia to end the three-year war.
In a Truth Social post later, Trump said Zelenskyy “disrespected the United States” and “can come back when he is ready for Peace."
“Amen, Mr. President,” posted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
“I’ve never been more proud of President Trump for showing the American people — and the world — you don't trifle with this man ... He wanted to get a ceasefire. He wants to end the war and Zelenskyy felt like he needed to bait Trump in the Oval Office,” Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in a post to X.
Wrote Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, “I am so proud of our Commander-in-Chief. Thank you President @RealDonaldTrump and @VP for standing up for America. We will not tolerate the political games and disrespect of America. America is back.”
