Massachusetts Town Threatens Man With $100-Per-Day Fine Over Trump Message On Water Tower

A Massachusetts town is threatening to impose a $100-per-day fine on a resident who is projecting a Trump campaign sign on a local water tower, according to a statement from the town administrator released Oct. 12.

The town of Hanson in Plymouth County is ordering the man to stop displaying the “Trump 2024” logo on the water tower because it belongs to the town, Boston 25 News reported.

The local resident responsible for the illuminating Trump sign is using a projector on top of a storage container in his backyard, Boston 25 News reported. Town officials attempted to block out the political message with a floodlight, but the message remained visible Friday evening, according to the New York Post.

Lisa Green, the town administrator of Hanson, said in a statement that the town does not endorse political candidates and is working on a cease and desist order.
