It is going to be something to behold, on Jan. 21, 2021, when President Biden takes revenge on Russia for paying the Taliban to kill Americans in Afghanistan. He’ll task the CIA with killing the Russian agents behind the bounties, send lethal aid to Ukraine to defend itself against Russian aggression, work with allies to oust Russia and Cuba from Venezuela, withdraw from the arms deals Russia is violating, and ratchet up sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany.
Of course Mr. Biden will do none of that,...

The Chinese Government has made a “complete miscalculation” by taking the “long handle” to Australia following calls for an inquiry into the coronavirus pandemic and risks uniting Western allies against the country.
That’s according to former Australian foreign minister Alexander Downer, who said China’s aggressive sense of “wolf warrior” diplomacy in the wake of the pandemic has taken many nations by surprise.
Mr Downer, who also previously served as high commissioner to the UK and now works as Chairman of Trustees for UK think tank the Policy Exchange, said Western allies previously had different views on how to manage their relationship with the superpower. But the “vehemence” of China’s reaction to the Australian calls for an inquiry has shocked many.
“I suppose the Chinese thought that they could take the long handle to Australia because Australia is smaller, whereas to do the same to the United States would invite a very damaging backlash from the Americans,” he told news.com.au.
“In the case of Australia they, I guess, feel there is not so much Australia can do but actually that’s a complete miscalculation because Australia has such a network of allies around the world. I mean not least the United States and the UK and those countries have been very supportive.”

Mr Downer said he believes the Morrison Government has been handling the escalating situation “really well” given it’s complicated by the fact China is Australia’s largest trading partner.
“China has become much more aggressive, pursuing this wolf-warrior diplomacy,” he said. “But the world has been startled by the vehemence of China’s reaction to Australia just suggesting there should be an international investigation into the outbreak of coronavirus which is an entirely uncontroversial and reasonable proposition, particularly as so many people have died and so many economies have collapsed as a result of it.
“China has been extremely aggressive towards a number of other countries including the UK where its threatened all sorts of hell and damnation if the UK reverses its decision on Huawei’s involvement with 5G. So China’s changed. China is pursuing a very unwise, very aggressive as they call it ‘wolf-warrior’ diplomacy and in the process it’s isolating itself.”

Speaking at a last minute briefing Tuesday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany implied criminal investigations into officials who leaked classified information to the New York Times over the weekend are underway. The intelligence information given to the newspaper was about unverified allegations Russia paid Taliban terrorists to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
"The front page of the New York Times is not the venue for discussing classified information. The White House podium is not the venue for discussing classified information. We are here today having this discussing because of an irresponsible, anonymous leak to the New York Times," she said. "There is no good scenario as a result of this New York Times report. Who's going to want to cooperate with the United States intelligence community? Who's going to want to be a source? Or an asset if they know their identity could be disclosed. Which allies will want to share information with us if they know some rogue intelligence officer can go splash that information on the front page of a major U.S. newspaper."
McEnany went on to argue the leak makes it nearly impossible to get to the bottom of the intelligence and come to a consensus about whether the Russian/Taliban allegations were true. She reiterated President Trump was not previously briefed on the information because there wasn't consensus within a number of spy agencies about whether the intelligence was true.

Illegal leaks of classified information from intelligence officials have tripled under President Trump and have been repeatedly used as political weapons against his administration.
"These are rogue intelligence officers who are imperiling our troops' lives," she continued. "You have both the NSC, ODNI and CIA all noting what damage this leak does. Not just to the safety of our troops, which is paramount, but to the ability of the United States to aggregate information from our allies."

John Roberts proves he's nothing more than an empty robe

Of all the cop-outs in Supreme Court jurisprudence, Chief Justice John Roberts’s concurrence in June Medical Services v. Russo has to be one of the worst.
The case was brought by abortion providers in Louisiana who bristled at having health and safety rules imposed upon them that made it harder to do business. They arguably lacked standing to represent the class supposedly aggrieved in this case — the very patients those rules were designed to protect from quack abortionists.
Yet, they succeeded both in establishing their standing and in upholding the controversial standard that such requirements cannot stand, being overly burdensome to women who might seek abortions — that is, parties not even represented before the court. And they did it in a 5-4 decision in which Roberts was the tiebreaker.

But equally dangerous is a legal environment in which flat-out bad decisions are simply allowed to stand, no matter what, just because they were decided the wrong way first. Roberts, sadly, has left his nation in a state of blind obedience to just such a bad ruling.
This isn't just another bad ruling, but clear proof that Roberts is nothing but an empty robe. It is a bitter disappointment and certainly not what his supporters hoped for when he was confirmed.

So much for all those crocodile fears about the end of abortion rights. The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Monday that a state can’t even require abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a hospital. And the logic of the concurring opinion from Chief Justice John Roberts, who provided the fifth vote, suggests not even de minimis regulation of abortion will survive his Court’s scrutiny.

Russia reportedly offered cash to Taliban militants to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan; reaction and analysis from the 'Special Report' All-Stars.
A top Republican lawmaker said Monday that The New York Times has "blood" on its hands, after the paper reported that Russia secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants for killing American troops in Afghanistan.
Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., who attended a meeting with top White House and intelligence officials earlier in the day, charged in a series of tweets that the Times had "used unconfirmed intel in an ONGOING investigation into targeted killing of American soldiers in order to smear the President."
The Times' "hit piece," Banks said, had incorrectly suggested that Trump was personally briefed on the intelligence, contrary to claims from senior White House and intelligence officials.
"Sad, but many in the media & Congress rushed to judgement before learning the whole story," Banks wrote. "We should treat anonymously sourced @nytimes stories about Russia w/ skepticism." Several previous stories in the Times concerning Russia have been disputed; perhaps most famously, in 2017, former FBI Director James Comey slammed a Times story about alleged Trump team contacts with Russians as "not true."

Roughly four-in-10 voters think presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden suffers from dementia, according to a new poll released on Monday.
A Rasmussen Reports survey found that 38% of likely voters said that based on what they’ve read and seen from Mr. Biden, he is “suffering from some form of dementia.”
The survey of 1,000 likely voters showed that 48% disagreed and 14% were on the fence about the former vice president’s mental fortitude.

NEW DELHI—India banned dozens of Chinese mobile apps, including widely used TikTok and WeChat, after a border clash between troops from the two countries left 20 Indian soldiers dead this month.
New Delhi cited cybersecurity concerns in blocking the Chinese apps from one of the largest and fastest-growing markets in the world. A senior Indian government official said the ban was imposed because the apps might have been used to harm India’s defenses, as well as to send a message to China.

CBS reporter Catherine Herridge said Monday that the NSA had been unable to corroborate a story published by The New York Times about Russia putting a bounty on coalition soldiers in Afghanistan.
According to that story, Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) had offered bounties to Afghan terrorists for killing coalition troops — including American soldiers. (RELATED: Biden Aide Unloads On ‘Partisan, Rightwing Hack’ Catherine Herridge For Reporting On Flynn)
But as Herridge tweeted Monday, she was told by an intelligence officer that the report was not “verifiable” and lacked “sufficient reporting to corroborate any links.”

Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of Western civilization? Based on recent events, it would be hard to argue otherwise. As the mindless mob tears its way through what remains of a once-great culture, the twisted ideology it is imposing along the way - the belief (or at least pretend belief) of which is mandatory on pain of one’s livelihood and societal good-standing - is one that is the polar opposite of observable reality.

Make no mistake, the roots of the Black Lives Matter movement is Marxist to the core. Far from obtaining real justice for black people or anyone else, its ultimate aim is to steal, kill, and destroy, and to burn Western civilization to the ground. Who is funding the Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests and riots and why? As people go through life, most learn that many things are different from what they seem, and that the views and positions people have are rarely consistent with what they think is their self-interest.
In the spring of 1968, I was a student at Columbia University in New York. Over a matter of weeks, there were demonstrations, eventually ending in riots in May 1968. The school was shut down, and almost immediately “spontaneous” classes suddenly appeared on the lawns around the buildings. Some of these “classes” were taught by recognizable Columbia faculty or graduate students, but many were “taught” by outside socialist/communist agitators.
Being an economics major, out of curiosity, I wandered over to a “class” with a sign indicating it was Marxist economics. Long texts were being distributed. They had been professionally printed with color illustrations and graphs, etc. This was years before the days of personal computers, inexpensive color printers and insta-print services. It was obvious that the printed materials had not been prepared the night or even a couple of weeks before. I asked who had prepared them and where they came from. My question was not answered, and I was verbally attacked for even asking it.

Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post — which has fanned the flames of the BLM movement — and he also controls and owns the biggest stake in Amazon. When peaceful demonstrations turn into riots, where many small businesses are burned down and destroyed — who benefits? When people no longer have their neighborhood shops — many, out of necessity, go to online retailers — of which Amazon happens to be the largest.
When the politicians used the COVID-19 excuse to shut down small, independent shops (that had weak lobbies and little political clout), but not big-box or online retailers — which company benefited the most? Yes, Amazon. Which American has seen the greatest appreciation in his net wealth over the last six months? Yes, Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man.
Violence, chaos and conspiracies drive TV news ratings — and, in turn, advertising revenue. For two years, almost every day, CNN, MSNBC and much of the rest of establishment media promoted a phony story of President Trump colluding with the Russians. In fact, we now know that Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign funded the phony dossier on Donald Trump.
Those who sow the seeds of political chaos and economic destruction almost always have an agenda, whose results would be contrary to public good. They rely on the historical ignorance and naivete of the well-meaning, poorly educated and weak-minded.

Supreme Court rules Trump has unfettered power to fire officials

A divided Supreme Court on Monday put the brakes on Congress’ attempt to limit the president’s power to remove executive branch officials in a win for President Trump.
The justices ruled, 5-4, that the Constitution requires the president have unfettered discretion to fire the head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
However, the high court rejected arguments that the entire agency should be shut down.
All of the Republican appointees on the high court backed the decision eliminating the restrictions on the firing of leaders of so-called single-member agencies, while all the Democrat-appointed justices said they would have left those limitations in place.
The board was the brainchild of Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren before her days in elected office, and enacted into law by Congress in the wake of the 2008 financial collapse.
The White House hailed the ruling.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Cometh the political reckoning in November.
Sen. Tim Scott, the only black Republican in the Senate, made an eloquent bipartisan case for police reform last week, drawing on his own humiliations being racially profiled by cops.
He choked up as he told the Senate it was the fifth anniversary of the racist massacre of nine people in the “Mother Emanuel” church in his hometown of Charleston, SC.
It was a speech that should have melted the coldest heart.
But do House Democratic leaders even have hearts to melt?
They blocked his bill without a thought.
He offered open-ended amendments to the bill, which included police training, a chokehold ban, body cameras, a database of use of force, and ways to reject bad officers. He consulted police and the families of victims.
Everything was on the negotiating table.
But the Democrats don’t want to take the heat out of the issue that is burning up America’s streets.

Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., railed against Twitter, Google and Facebook tech giants, claiming they improperly wield power over the content Internet users view by censoring conservative-leaning content.
Nunes currently suffered a loss in a defamation lawsuit he filed against Twitter, parody accounts known as "Devin Nunes' Mom" and "Devin Nunes' Cow," and a Republican strategist when a judge ruled that Twitter cannot be held liable for defamatory tweets because federal law classifies them as merely a platform, not a publisher.

"When you have 92 percent of the searches going through Google, you might have a problem because when you plug that content into those three giant tech companies, it’s really starting to have an influence and an effect on the politics in this country.”

About 150 people rallied outside the Museum of Natural History on Sunday in an effort to save the statue of President Teddy Roosevelt there from removal.
Cries of “Save Teddy!” and “Save Our History!” came from the crowd protesting the Upper West Side institution’s move to remove the bronze effigy of Roosevelt, which has stood at its entrance since 1940.
“This statue is of a proud American. Was he perfect? No. No one was perfect… he did a lot for this country,” said Gavin Wax, president of the New York Young Republicans Club, which organized the demonstration.
“We’re here today because we’ve bettered ourselves as a society and we continue to better ourselves as a society,” Wax said. “But we’ll never be able to do that anymore if we continue to tear down our history and forget our past — and we’ll be doomed to repeat it.”

Vice President Mike Pence declined Sunday to repeat the phrase “black lives matter,” citing concerns about the Black Lives Matter movement’s “radical left agenda.”
Mr. Pence said he has long been inspired by the example of Martin Luther King Jr., adding that “I cherish the progress that we have made toward a more perfect union for African Americans throughout our history. And I’ve aspired throughout my career to be a part of that ongoing work.”
“It’s really a heart issue for me. And as a pro-life American, I also believe that all life matters, born and unborn,” said Mr. Pence on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “But what I see in the leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement is a political agenda of the radical left that would defund the police.”

Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg took a $7.2 billion hit after several companies pulled their advertising from Facebook, citing the company’s failure to police hate speech and disinformation on its site.
The company’s shares fell 8.3 percent Friday, the most in three months after Unilever, one of the world’s largest advertisers said it would stop selling its products on Facebook, Bloomberg reported. The company joined other large firms such as Verizon Communications, Hershey Co. and Honda in pulling their ads from the social media giant. Coca Cola said it would suspend its advertising on all social media platforms for at least a month.

Democratic mayors in some of the nation's largest cities have been encouraging "lawlessness" as they push for defunding police departments in the wake of George Floyd's death, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., said Saturday night.
"Some of these mayors ... have allowed or even encouraged lawlessness, flat-out lawlessness in their street," Scalise said during an appearance on Fox News' "Justice with Judge Jeanine."
"Watching some of the parts of their cities in Seattle being taking over -- people just randomly tearing down things and burning down cities -- with the mayors, just in some cases disbanding the police station so that they can be burned down," Scalise said. "This has got to stop."
President Trump canceled his weekend trip to Bedminster, N.J., on Friday as the state imposed a mandatory 14-day quarantine for individuals entering the state from areas seeing a surge in coronavirus infections, but the president said he was staying home in Washington to monitor protests.
"I was going to go to Bedminster, New Jersey, this weekend, but wanted to stay in Washington, D.C. to make sure LAW & ORDER is enforced," the president wrote on Twitter. "The arsonists, anarchists, looters, and agitators have been largely stopped."
