Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley joins Laura Ingraham on 'The Ingraham Angle.'
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told Fox News Thursday that "someone needs to pay" after recently unsealed documents revealed questionable conduct by top FBI officials during the investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
"Laura, this upsets me so much because when I was at the United Nations, this is what we looked at other countries doing ... corrupt measures to frame people and to hide things," Haley said on "The Ingraham Angle." "I can't believe this happened in the United States of America."

The documents unsealed Wednesday show that bureau officials discussed their motivations for interviewing Flynn at the White House in January 2017 -- with one note questioning whether the "goal" of investigators was "to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired."
Haley did not mince words, saying the FBI needs to "step up" if the American public is to trust them again.

Sources believe coronavirus pandemic started in Chinese laboratory
Sources tell Fox News that the belief is now is that the coronavirus originated in a Wuhan lab, not as a bio weapon, but as China's effort to find and deal with viruses.
President Trump said Thursday he has seen evidence suggesting that the coronavirus originated from a laboratory in China, while continuing his criticism of the World Health Organization's ties to Beijing, comparing the group to a public relations agency.
Trump was speaking to reporters about protecting America's senior citizens when Fox News and others asked if he knew of anything that gave him confidence that the outbreak originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
"Yes, I have," he said, without further explanation. "And, I think that the World Health Organization should be ashamed of themselves because they’re like the public relations agency for China."
He earlier speculated about whether China knew about the virus sooner than it has led on and withheld information about the outbreak.
"So far I think China is trying to be... somewhat transparent with us, but we're going to find out," Trump said. "It's a terrible thing that happened. Whether they made a mistake or whether it started off as a mistake and then they made another one or did somebody do something on purpose."

New documents obtained by CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge show the FBI investigated General Michael Flynn based on the Bureau's Crossfire Hurricane probe into the 2016 Trump campaign. Members of the Crossfire Hurricane team referred Flynn for investigation, which turned into Crossfire Razor. Crossfire Razor did not find "derogatory information" about any of Flynn's alleged actions.

'We're going to see': Trump says he has confidence that COVID-19 started in Wuhan's lab

President Trump said the United States is looking to confirm reports that the strain of coronavirus that triggered the pandemic escaped a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
Intelligence officials have reportedly increased their confidence that COVID-19 escaped from a government laboratory in Wuhan. During a press conference on Thursday, Trump doubted that the coronavirus originated from a bat in a Chinese wet market, as the Chinese Communist Party has suggested.
"We're going to see where it comes from. And, look, you know every theory whether you had the theory from the lab, you had the theory from many different — the bats. The type of bat and the bat is 40 miles away, so it couldn't have been here, and it couldn't have been there," Trump said.
He continued, "There's a lot of theories, but yeah, we have people looking at it very, very strongly. Scientific people, intelligence people, and others. We're going to put it all together. I think we will have a very good answer eventually. And China might even tell us."
Fox reporter John Roberts asked Trump what gave him a high level of confidence that the virus started in the Wuhan laboratory. Trump responded, "I can't tell you that. I'm not allowed to tell you that."

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said China continues to block US scientists from entering the country to study the coronavirus as Hong Kong researchers estimated that the number of cases could be four times higher than Beijing previously reported.
“Even today, the Chinese government hasn’t permitted American scientists to go into China, to go into not only the Wuhan lab or wherever it needs to go to learn about this virus, to learn about its origins,” Pompeo told Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” in an interview on Wednesday.
“Look, we know it began at one [lab], but we need to figure this out. There’s an ongoing pandemic. We still don’t have the transparency and openness we need in China.”

If we are going to win the competition with the Chinese Communist dictatorship over the next half-century or more, we are going to have to invent a new series of institutions and create a new series of rules for winning the communication war.

The economic power of Beijing has led American billionaires to either be quiet or to actually defend the dictatorship. Remember former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s assertion that General Secretary Xi Jinping isn’t really a dictator because he has to please the Chinese people to stay in power?

Newly declassified footnotes from the Department of Justice Inspector General’s inflammatory report shed new light on the FBI’s disturbing handling of the Steele dossier, the campaign opposition research file against then-candidate Donald Trump.
The footnotes show the FBI was warned that some of the information compiled by ex-British spy Christopher Steele could have been part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
The report issued in December by Inspector General Michael Horowitz details how Steele put together his thoroughly debunked Russian dossier in the summer of 2016 and weaponized it for political gain. That dossier became the basis for surveillance against the Trump campaign. Horowitz ultimately found 17 “errors or omissions” in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance applications against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Dr. Scott W. Atlas – the David and Joan Traitel Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and former Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford Medical Center – recently looked at the numbers in New York City, a city that became the epicenter of the virus in the United States.
Dr. Atlas – who is predictably shunned by the mainstream media because he does prefer using actual facts and statistics – recently reported that the rate of death for all people ages 18 to 45 is 0.01 percent. For people under 18, the rate of death is zero per 100,000. And of almost 8,000 NYC COVID-19 deaths fully investigated for underlying conditions, 99.2 percent had an underlying illness.
The truth must matter more than flawed computer models and experts and officials drunk on power.
Will anyone be held accountable for what will surely come to be known as the most tragic case of governmental, medical, and media malpractice in the history of the world? I doubt it.

Pompeo prepared to kill the Iran nuclear deal to block arms sales to Tehran

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is preparing to force the renewal of all international sanctions on Iran in order to bar the regime from purchasing conventional weapons this fall.
“We're not going to let that happen,” Pompeo told reporters Wednesday. “We are going to make sure that, come October of this year, the Iranians aren't able to buy conventional weapons that they would be given, what President Obama and Vice President Biden delivered to the world in that terrible deal.”
Pompeo is trying to extend the embargo on conventional weapons sales to Tehran, a restriction that is scheduled to expire in October, according to the terms of the United Nations Security Council resolution that ratified the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. The potential danger of such weapons sales could attract European support for Pompeo’s initiative, but that partnership is complicated by lingering anger over the U.S. withdrawal from the accord.
“It’s now just several months out where China, Russia, other countries from around the world can all sell significant conventional weapons systems to the Iranians in October of this year,” Pompeo said. “I think the world realizes that’s a mistake.”

WASHINGTON—The Trump administration has no immediate plans to reopen the country’s borders after imposing a ban on foreign travelers from the European Union and the U.K. last month to slow the spread of the coronavirus, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.
Mr. Pompeo told reporters Wednesday that the State Department was working with countries on plans to resume international travel, but declined to say whether borders would reopen before the summer.

Cuomo to blame for COVID spreading through nursing home: Goodwin

Near the end of his news conference Tuesday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo was asked a question about nursing homes. As part of his answer, he described the devilish dangers they face from the coronavirus outbreak because of their vulnerable sick and elderly residents.
“What’s really happened in nursing homes is what we’ve feared from the get-go,” Cuomo said. He called them “ground zero” for the virus and added:
“It just takes one [infected] person … to walk in there and then it is fire through dry grass.”
As a statement of fact, there is nothing wrong and everything right with those words. But the governor’s clear understanding of the special circumstances that nursing homes face deepens the mystery about why he allowed his Department of Health to force sick patients into those same facilities.

For the past five years, the liberal media have waged an unending war against Donald Trump. And as the November election draws closer, they are protecting former Vice President Joe Biden – the presumptive Democratic nominee to run against Trump – by downplaying coverage of a serious allegation that Biden committed sexual assault in 1993.
There are many relevant questions that need to be answered by Sleepy Joe Biden about his fitness for office. But these questions have been largely ignored by the anti-Trump media.
First and foremost is the allegation of sexual assault coming from Biden’s former Senate employee Tara Reade. Reade’s story is credible. Contemporaneous evidence supports her claim.

“The stuff of feminist nightmares” is “blowing up” in the presidential race, Rebecca Traister shrieks at The Cut. Joe Biden’s “shaky past behavior around women and their bodies isn’t staying in his past,” despite his promise “to pick A Woman vice president and appoint A Black Woman to the Supreme Court.” Tara Reade’s charge that Biden sexually assaulted her got “strong pieces of corroboration” over the weekend and “should surely imperil Biden’s position at the top of the ticket” — but likely won’t. So “whichever woman gets the nod to be his running mate will wind up drinking from a poisoned chalice.” Democratic women will “have their own history of righteous advocacy held up against them, used to make them look like hypocrites” for backing “a man who has been credibly accused of behavior they have aggressively condemned.” And if he loses, feminists will be blamed “for encouraging an environment in which claims of sexual harm are taken seriously enough to damage a politician.”

Michael Flynn is the victim of one of the worst miscarriages of justice in modern times — an innocent man who was unfairly targeted by the FBI, wrongfully prosecuted by special counsel Robert Mueller, and coerced into a guilty plea under threat.
New court documents finally handed over to Flynn’s lawyer contain exculpatory evidence that has been long sought, yet concealed until now. The charge against him should be dismissed. Then, he should sue the very people and government that persecuted him under the pretext of a legitimate prosecution.
The unvarnished truth is that the retired Army lieutenant general and former National Security Adviser never did anything wrong and committed no crimes. He was set up by unscrupulous FBI officials, then relentlessly pursued by Mueller’s team of overzealous prosecutors who were desperate to show that President Trump and his campaign colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.

Govt rejects China stance on virus review

The Morrison government has declared it won't give in to coercion as the Chinese embassy doubled down on its claims Australia's call for an investigation into the coronavirus is politically motivated and labelled our top diplomat a sham.
Australia has held firm on calls for a global review into the origins of the virus despite China's threats to boycott Australian education, tourism and agriculture in retaliation.
"The government has made our displeasure with those remarks known," Trade Minister Simon Birmingham said in Adelaide on Tuesday.

Senator Birmingham said a boycott from China would be inappropriate.
"We won't be changing our public policy position on such a serious public health matter in the face of any threats of coercion from any other nation," he said.
He points out the virus has led to hundreds of thousands of people dying, millions losing jobs, and billions facing massive disruption to their lives.
"The least the world can expect is a transparent inquiry into the causes of COVID-19 so that we can understand how best to prevent a repeat episode any time in the future," he said.

Attorneys for Fox News’ Sean Hannity have formally demanded The New York Times issue an apology and retract coverage of his remarks on the coronavirus outbreak on the cable news network.
Hannity’s legal team on Monday fired off a detailed letter to the newspaper over three separate pieces by columnist Ginia Bellafante, contributing writer Kara Swisher and media columnist Ben Smith which they said all showed “an outrageous disregard for the truth.” The letter demanded action within 24 hours.
“Failure to do so will leave Mr. Hannity with no alternative but to consider instituting immediate legal proceedings against you,” it stated.

In Britain and New Zealand social distancing demands people stand 2m apart, in the US it’s 1.8m, so how comes it is 1.5m in Australia?

If you go to the supermarket this week, you’ll likely end up queuing behind stickers on the floor imploring you to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres.
Across the ditch in New Zealand shoppers there are urged to stand two metres apart, as they are in the UK. In the US that same safe distance is 1.8 metres. Yet in Singapore, it’s just 1 metre.
Research released earlier this month said we should be even more distant that 1.5m from one another, particularly when exercising, perhaps as much as five or 10 metres.
Given we’re probably going to have to keep social distancing for some time, how apart should we be? Singapore’s single metre, Australia’s still snug 1.5 metres, New Zealand’s more generous two metres or far more?

Lindsey Graham asks DOJ for documents that 'undercut' Steele dossier source

The Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee asked the Justice Department to hand over documents that he said “undercut” one of British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s sources.
Sen. Lindsey Graham made the request on Monday in a two-page letter to Attorney General William Barr, asking that his committee be provided with five tranches of still-classified documents referenced in DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI's Russia investigation.
The South Carolina Republican stressed the importance of his panel having access to the records as it "continues to investigate … abuses related to [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] coverage on Carter Page," an adviser for the Trump campaign who was suspected of being a foreign agent for Russia but was never charged with wrongdoing.
Graham asked for all records related to the FBI’s interviews with Steele's primary subsource in January, March, and May 2017 including the “lengthy written summary” of a January 2017 interview written by FBI agents dubbed “Supervisory Intel Analyst” and “Case Agent 1.” He also asked for the two-page “Intelligence Memorandum” provided to Crossfire Hurricane leader Bill Priestap by the supervisory intel analyst in late 2017, which discussed “aspects of the Primary Sub-source’s interview” that raised red flags about Steele.

The first nation to develop a vaccine for Covid-19 could have an economic advantage as well as a tremendous public-health achievement. Doses will be limited initially as suppliers ramp up, and a country will focus on inoculating most of its own population first. Even with extraordinary international collaboration among multiple companies, it could be years before a vaccine is produced at a scale sufficient to help the entire world. The first country to the finish line will be first to restore its economy and global influence. America risks being second.

South Korea believes North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is “alive and well” despite rumors that he is gravely ill or dead, officials said Sunday.
“Our government position is firm,” Moon Chung-in, South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s top foreign policy advisor, told CNN.
“Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since April 13. No suspicious movements have so far been detected.”
