Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., told Newsmax Tuesday that "Democrats don't care" about the physical and mental condition of President Joe Biden because he's merely a figurehead. Former President Barack Obama is really running the government, she said.
"It's just like a Soviet-style Politburo," Tenney said during an appearance on Newsmax’s "Wake Up America." "Remember when the Soviet Union, they propped up [sixth USSR leader Yuri] Andropov, a decrepit, old Communist that they put there?
"He looked good to the public, and they maneuvered behind the scenes. And I suspect that's exactly what's going on.

In an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said Democrats hunger for power, and that President Joe Biden is not in control of the White House.
“Well, I mean, we've known that Joe's been incapacitated for a long time. I mean, and they blame everybody else,” Biggs said. “But here's what I think is happening. You've got an oligarchy of power there, and it's the Cabinet officials.
"It is Obama's former team that still helps run the White House, and I think for several years, they've been running the country as opposed to Joe Biden.”
Biggs elaborated on “Greg Kelly Reports” his belief that these individuals have a significant influence over the administration, asserting that “it can't be surprising to any of us that's where these leftists, these hardcore leftists, these power-hungry people are going to end up. They will always end up on the side of power and control over the American people.”

Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson will interview Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after two years of trying to secure an elusive sit down, Carlson announced in a Wednesday tweet.
“Looks like we’ve got the Zelenskyy interview,” Carlson wrote Wednesday afternoon. “We’ve been trying for two years, and with particular intensity after interviewing Putin in February. The point is to bring Americans much-needed information about the conflict that’s completely reshaping their country’s position in the world. Coming soon we hope.”
The impending sit down follows his much-anticipated interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he released in February. Missouri AG Files Lawsuit Against New York For Trying To Muzzle Voters’ Ability To Hear From Trump

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the state of New York for the violation of Missourians’ First Amendment right to hear from a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Bailey stated that the New York trial and gag order placed on Trump undermines his ability to campaign for president, sabotaging Missourians’ ability to hear from and cast a fully informed vote for a presidential candidate. Bailey is calling on the Supreme Court to invoke its original jurisdiction under Article III, Section II of the Constitution to settle the legal battle between the two states, according to a press release.
“We’re going to continue to fight against lawfare in all of its forms, not only by entering and filing briefs in the other illicit witch hunt prosecutions of President Trump, but also fighting to expose and make transparent the collusion between Biden’s Department of Justice and the illicit witch hunt prosecutions at the state level, and fighting censorship and the silencing of not only President Trump’s voice but of listeners in Missouri,” Bailey told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Judge Juan Merchan lifted the portions of the order preventing Trump from making statements about witnesses and jurors on June 25, two days before the first presidential debate. Trump’s attorneys urged Merchan to lift the gag order, arguing the concerns expressed by Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office “do not justify restrictions on the First Amendment rights of President Trump” now that the trial has concluded.
Trump was convicted on 34 accounts of falsification of business records stemming from a nondisclosure agreement with porn star Stormy Daniels. The Manhattan jury consisting of seven men and five women indicted Trump after almost 12 hours of deliberations. Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the state of New York for the violation of Missourians’ First Amendment right to hear from a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Bailey stated that the New York trial and gag order placed on Trump undermines his ability to campaign for president, sabotaging Missourians’ ability to hear from and cast a fully informed vote for a presidential candidate. Calls for President Joe Biden to bow out of the presidential race are widespread. It goes without saying that they’re all politically motivated.
The corporate media has not suddenly discovered that Biden is senile, as they claim. They’ve known all along, but simply decided that the president’s liabilities far outweigh his assets. For months, it’s been Donald Trump’s race to lose — and Biden’s disastrous debate performance ensured that a comeback would be all but impossible.
Replacing him might be the Democrats’ last best hope, a true Hail Mary. But even if they pull it off, it won’t wash away the stench of Biden’s administration and all those who covered for it.

The Supreme Court’s ruling on former President Donald Trump’s immunity appeal made it all but certain no trial will take place before the election — and increasingly likely special counsel Jack Smith’s appointment will be deemed unlawful.
In a concurring opinion, Justice Clarence Thomas questioned the constitutionality of Smith’s appointment, writing that the lower courts should “answer these essential questions” before proceeding. Meanwhile, U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon has received criticism for her approach to Trump’s classified documents case, where she is weighing the constitutionality of Smith’s appointment.
“While the Supreme Court’s ruling on Presidential immunity in US v Trump was the headliner this week, what may bode even worse for Special Counsel Jack Smith is what lies within Justice Thomas’ concurring opinion,” former federal prosecutor Joseph Moreno told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “The ultimate issue may not be what types of charges Smith can bring against Trump, but instead whether Smith has the authority to supervises these cases at all.”
“This issue is already before Judge Cannon in Smith’s classified documents case against Trump, but Justice Thomas’ decision makes it all the more likely this issue will soon be front and center and possibly before the full Supreme Court,” Moreno continued.
The court held Monday in Trump v. United States that presidents have at least “presumptive immunity” for all official acts and “absolute” immunity for actions pertaining to the “exercise of his core constitutional powers.” Trump had sought to dismiss his Jan. 6 case in Washington, D.C., based on presidential immunity, but the lower courts declined to find he had immunity.
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley wrote after the ruling on Monday that the decision “reminds citizens that it is more important to get these questions answered right than fast.” (RELATED: Dems’ Attacks On Judge Overseeing Trump Classified Docs Case Don’t Add Up, Legal Experts Say)
“For all of the criticism of Judge Cannon in Florida for holding hearings and considering arguments, this is why it is important to give serious and sufficient attention to these questions,” he wrote on X. “Judge Chutkan was praised for her speed in supporting Smith’s effort to try Trump before the election. She was wrong as was the D.C. Circuit.”
While he said he did not “blame them in an area with good arguments on both sides,” he noted “speed should not be the measure of performance for the courts.”

Things are beginning to crumble now for Joe Biden as even Democrats are jumping ship. Some Democrats have already called for him to step aside and now about 25 of them are readying a call on him to do so.

Rep. Chip Roy wants the House to impeach Vice President Kamala Harris, arguing she has breached her oath of office by “lying” to the public about President Biden’s apparent mental decline and failing to use her constitutional power under the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.
The Texas Republican also wants his House colleagues to conduct oversight hearings to find out who else in Mr. Biden’s orbit knew about his condition before last week’s disastrous debate performance against a coherent Donald Trump.
“Kamala Harris should be impeached for lying to America about the state of President Biden’s mental capacity to carry out the powers and duties of the office — and shirking her unique constitutional obligation to take the necessary steps to invoke the 25th Amendment,” Mr. Roy posted Wednesday on X.
He added that House Republicans should hold hearings when they return to Washington next week to expose what appears to be a cover-up by the Biden administration.
“What did they know, and when did they know it?” Mr. Roy said. “And who is ‘they?’”

The Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity Monday made it more difficult for both special counsel Jack Smith and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to prosecute former President Donald Trump, throwing their indictments into serious question.
The decision, which found former presidents are entitled to “at least presumptive immunity” from prosecution for all “official acts,” will force Smith to go back to the drawing board as Judge Tanya Chutkan weighs which portions of the indictment fall into that category and are covered by immunity. The process not only means a trial before the election is a virtual impossibility, but paired with another ruling this term on the obstruction statute connected to two charges in the indictment, it likely will leave Smith with little more than a shell of a case.
“I think it could take several months for the trial court to decide what are official and unofficial acts,” UC Berkeley law professor and former President George W. Bush Department of Justice official John Yoo told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Both sides must have a fair chance to research and argue the issue before the judge undertakes her analysis.” (RELATED: Justice Thomas Questions Constitutionality Of Jack Smith’s Appointment)
When paired with the Fischer v. United States case, where the Supreme Court majority found the DOJ’s interpretation of an obstruction statute used to charge hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants and connected to two counts of Trump’s indictment too expansive, Yoo told the DCNF there is “little left” of Smith’s case. Yoo argued in a recent Fox News column President Joe Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland would “be wise to shut down the special counsel investigation, blame its failures on the Supreme Court, and leave the question of Trump’s responsibility up to the people in November.”
John Malcolm, vice president for the Heritage Foundation’s Institute for Constitutional Government, told the DCNF it is “very unclear” whether any viable charges “remain against Trump in either D.C. or Atlanta.”

From CNN to the New York Times, the left-wing establishment media is in full-blown meltdown mode.
They are panicking because their darling in the White House — the purported savior of democracy — is manifestly unfit to lead the country. And, after last week’s disastrous presidential debate, everyone knows it.
“This was a game-changing debate,” reacted CNN anchor John King, “in the sense that, right now, as we speak, there is a deep, a wide, and a very aggressive panic in the Democratic Party. It started minutes into the debate, and it continues right now. It involves party strategists, elected officials, and fundraisers. And they are having conversations about the president’s performance, which they think was dismal, which they think will hurt other people in the party down the ticket. They are having conversations about what they should do about it.”

A former New York Times editor has accused the White House of concealing President Joe Biden's deteriorating condition and chastised the media for failing to dig in and expose the truth.
"Shame on the White House press corps for not to have pierced the veil of secrecy surrounding the President," Jill Abramson wrote in an op-ed for Semafor.
Abramson, who served as the executive editor of the New York Times from 2011 to 2014, criticized the administration for successfully hiding the "degree of the President's feebleness and his serious physical decline, which may be simply the result of old age."
"The Biden White House clearly succeeded in a massive cover-up," she wrote, emphasizing the media's duty to hold officials accountable and "poke through White House smoke screens and find out the truth."

President Joe Biden on Tuesday acknowledged his performance during last Thursday's presidential debate wasn't his best, but blamed it on jet lag after two overseas trips earlier in June.
Biden has faced mounting questions about his 2024 reelection bid after last week's shaky debate performance, with one House of Representatives fellow Democrat on Tuesday publicly calling on him to withdraw from the race.
Speaking at a campaign event in McLean, Virginia, on Tuesday evening, Biden admitted the debate against former President Donald Trump, his Republican rival, did not go well.
“I didn’t have my best night, but the fact is that you know, I wasn’t very smart," Biden said, speaking at the campaign fundraiser without the aid of a teleprompter. "I decided to travel around the world a couple times, going through around 100 time zones ... before ... the debate.
"Didn’t listen to my staff and came back and nearly fell asleep on stage," he said. "That's no excuse but it is an explanation.”

President Joe Biden on Tuesday acknowledged his performance during last Thursday's presidential debate wasn't his best, but blamed it on jet lag after two overseas trips earlier in June.
Biden has faced mounting questions about his 2024 reelection bid after last week's shaky debate performance, with one House of Representatives fellow Democrat on Tuesday publicly calling on him to withdraw from the race.
Speaking at a campaign event in McLean, Virginia, on Tuesday evening, Biden admitted the debate against former President Donald Trump, his Republican rival, did not go well.
“I didn’t have my best night, but the fact is that you know, I wasn’t very smart," Biden said, speaking at the campaign fundraiser without the aid of a teleprompter. "I decided to travel around the world a couple times, going through around 100 time zones ... before ... the debate.
"Didn’t listen to my staff and came back and nearly fell asleep on stage," he said. "That's no excuse but it is an explanation.”

On Monday, the Supreme Court released a benchmark decision on presidential immunity, and it has resulted in enough hot air being shed to melt the polar ice caps. Most of the hysterical claims made about this decision are about as fact-based as the phlogiston theory, and some of the most ridiculous claims are the assertions that presidents now have the power to order assassinations of their political opponents.
This is, of course, poppycock, which hasn't prevented even a Supreme Court Justice from doubling down on stupid. The people who would be called upon to carry out any such order, though, have a different take on the whole thing — including, and maybe especially, the US Army's elite Delta Force.

The old axiom, "When it rains, it pours," doesn't come anywhere close to the last six days of embattled President Joe Biden and his (at least) equally embattled wife, pretend-Dr. Jill Biden.
First, if there has been a more disastrous U.S. presidential debate performance in history than Biden's Thursday night fiasco on CNN, I am unaware of it. After dazed and confused Joe's catastrophic meltdown, his inner-circle aides absurdly attempted to blame his debate prep team.
Next up, the White House released a short, hastily-created speech on Friday in a desperate attempt to put out the debate dumpster fire. Yeah, no; it made things even worse, with Biden bizarrely looking like a Halloween jack-o-lantern.

Then things got even worse.
Vogue magazine released its July issue with a heavily air-brushed First Lady on the cover, but the accompanying quote only made things worse: "We will decide our own future." Translation: "I will decide our own future," no doubt meant the narcissist in chief.

The White House deleted a post from President Biden’s official POTUS account after users panned it for mistakenly accusing the Supreme Court of overturning on Monday a Department of Energy freeze on new liquefied natural gas exports.
The actual ruling came from federal Judge James Cain of the Western District of Louisiana, who said the Department of Energy’s export pause would be “stayed in its entirety, effective immediately.”
President Biden’s since-deleted post read: “Yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling on our pause on Liquified Natural Gas exports is incredibly disappointing.”

The Bangor Daily News published the piece on Tuesday under the headline “Donald Trump is going to win the election and democracy will be just fine.” In his op-ed, Golden characterized President Joe Biden’s performance in last week’s debate as “poor,” but clarified his view that Trump is likely to win in November because of the country’s economic woes more than any other factor.
“After the first presidential debate, lots of Democrats are panicking about whether President Joe Biden should step down as the party’s nominee,” Golden wrote. “Biden’s poor performance in the debate was not a surprise. Judge Juan Merchan delayed former President Donald Trump’s sentencing to September.
Originally scheduled for July 11 — just days before the Republican National Convention — Trump’s sentencing will now take place on September 18. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office agreed Tuesday to delay Trump’s sentencing in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling finding presidents are immune from prosecution for “official acts” taken in office.
“The Court’s decision will be tendered off-calendar on September 6, 2024 and the matter is adjourned to September 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM for the imposition of sentence, if such is still necessary, or other proceedings,” Merchan wrote in the order.

The House Judiciary Committee is escalating its efforts to obtain the audio recording of President Joe Biden's interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur by filing a lawsuit against Attorney General Merrick Garland in his official capacity.
The complaint filed on Monday explains that the dispute "is principally about a frivolous assertion of executive privilege" that has prevented the House lawmakers working to conduct oversight of President Biden and his administration from obtaining the recordings of interviews even after the transcripts were publicly released.
"As part of its oversight investigation into the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) commitment to impartial justice and its impeachment inquiry into President Joseph Biden, the Judiciary Committee issued a Subpoena to Attorney General Merrick Garland to obtain records related to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation of President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents," the committee's complaint reiterates. "Among other things, the Committee sought materials related to the Special Counsel’s interviews with President Biden and Mark Zwonitzer, the ghostwriter of President Biden’s 2017 memoir."
Despite these defied subpoenas — which eventually escalated to the point of holding Attorney General Garland in contempt of Congress — the Justice Department continues to obstruct the release of the recordings at issue.

The complaint filed on Monday explains that the dispute "is principally about a frivolous assertion of executive privilege" that has prevented the House lawmakers working to conduct oversight of President Biden and his administration from obtaining the recordings of interviews even after the transcripts were publicly released.
"As part of its oversight investigation into the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) commitment to impartial justice and its impeachment inquiry into President Joseph Biden, the Judiciary Committee issued a Subpoena to Attorney General Merrick Garland to obtain records related to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation of President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents," the committee's complaint reiterates. "Among other things, the Committee sought materials related to the Special Counsel’s interviews with President Biden and Mark Zwonitzer, the ghostwriter of President Biden’s 2017 memoir."
Despite these defied subpoenas — which eventually escalated to the point of holding Attorney General Garland in contempt of Congress — the Justice Department continues to obstruct the release of the recordings at issue.

In February, Joe Biden escaped charges for mishandling classified information after a lengthy investigation conducted by Special Counsel Robert Hur. It was a James Comey 2.0 moment for Democrats: Biden was charged but the reasons offered were due to his advanced age and memory issues. That summary sent the Left into a tailspin, especially the White House which was aware that most voters viewed Biden as too old to be president.
Hur was dragged through the mud since he was a Republican and partisan—two things that quickly faded when he was summoned to the Hill to testify about his report. Hur, like the IRS whistleblowers, was credible, unwavering, and unapologetic about following department policy which is to outline mitigating factors regarding potential trial scenarios.
Democrats shrugged this off until the first debate last Thursday, where the president imploded. He looked his age, sounded his age, couldn’t string two coherent thoughts together, and got outright demolished by former President Donald Trump, who arguably didn’t need to do much. He let Biden hang himself. Mr. Hur’s assessment was right, and he deserves an apology (via Fox News):

Not long after the momentous Supreme Court decision regarding presidential immunity came down Monday—freaking out liberals while giving a smile to Republicans—Donald Trump's legal team moved to have his 34 convictions in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's business fraud trial overturned.
The move comes just days before the July 11 sentencing date:

Not long after the momentous Supreme Court decision regarding presidential immunity came down Monday—freaking out liberals while giving a smile to Republicans—Donald Trump's legal team moved to have his 34 convictions in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's business fraud trial overturned.
The move comes just days before the July 11 sentencing date:
In a letter to the judge overseeing the case, Mr. Trump’s lawyers sought permission to file a motion to set aside the verdict, doing so just hours after the Supreme Court issued its landmark ruling involving one of Mr. Trump’s other criminal cases. The letter will not be public until Tuesday at the earliest, after which prosecutors will have a chance to respond.
Earlier Monday, RedState's Susie Moore explained the importance of the SCOTUS decision:
In a 6-3 ruling, the Court held that a former president has absolute immunity for his core constitutional powers. Further, former presidents are also entitled to at least a presumption of immunity for their official acts. However, there is no immunity for unofficial acts.
Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the Court, laid out the holding, one that is likely to confound those on both/all sides of the issue, at least to some degree. In sending the case back to the lower courts to determine which of the acts in question are "official" versus "unofficial."

After President Joe Biden’s recent dismal debate performance, concerns have emerged from both current and former aides about his health and leadership capabilities.
The White House attributed Mr. Biden’s low and sometimes difficult-to-understand speaking voice to a cold. However, some insiders suggest this reflects the president’s day-to-day condition.
Former White House deputy director of photography, Chandler West, shared on Instagram, “It’s time for Joe to go.”
“I know many of these people and how the White House operates,” Mr. West said. “They will say he has a ’cold’ or just experienced a ’bad night,’ but for weeks and months, in private, they have all said what we saw last night — Joe is not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago.”
Mr. West, who served at the White House from January 2021 to May 2022, told Axios. “The debate was not the first bad day, and it’s not gonna be the last.”

Monday, the Supreme Court handed down a mixed bag of a ruling on presidential immunity. In my view, they took what could've been a straightforward and elegant decision — the president is immune from prosecution for acts committed in office unless he has been impeached for those acts — and turned it into a dog's breakfast of angels-on-the-head-of-a-pin litigation about what constitutes official and unofficial acts. Susie Moore has an excellent write-up on that case at BREAKING: Supreme Court Rules on Presidential Immunity.
What has passed with remarkably little notice is Justice Clarence Thomas's concurrence. Justice Thomas says the Court is putting the cart before the horse. The first question that needs to be answered is not whether acts were official or unofficial. The critical first question is whether this prosecution is legal at all. Thomas's comments begin on the 44th page of the linked document.

Donald Trump is pumped up by the Supreme Court’s major decision handed down Monday which ruled 6-3 that a president does have immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts. All three liberal judges dissented.

This case poses a question of lasting significance: When may a former President be prosecuted for official acts taken during his Presidency? Our Nation has never before needed an answer. But in addressing that question today, unlike the political branches and the public at large, we cannot afford to fixate exclusively, or even primarily, on present exigencies. In a case like this one, focusing on “transient results” may have profound consequences for the separation of powers and for the future of our Republic. Youngstown, 343 U. It is these enduring principles that guide our decision in this case. The President enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official. The President is not above the law. But Congress may not criminalize the President’s conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution. And the system of separated powers designed by the Framers has always demanded an energetic, independent Executive. The President therefore may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled, at a minimum, to a presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. That immunity applies equally to all occupants of the Oval Office, regardless of politics, policy, or party.
It is these enduring principles that guide our decision in this case. The President enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official. The President is not above the law. But Congress may not criminalize the President’s conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution. And the system of separated powers designed by the Framers has always demanded an energetic, independent Executive. The President therefore may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled, at a minimum, to a presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. Election prognosticator Nate Silver is no fan of Donald Trump, but he predicts that the former president will win the November election against President Biden, and what’s more, it won’t be particularly close.
In his first 2024 presidential election model, the political-statistics guru gave the presumptive Republican nominee a 65.7% chance of winning the Electoral College vote versus 33.7% for the Democrat Biden.
“The model gives Trump a 66 percent chance of winning the Electoral College, and Biden a 34 percent chance,” Mr. Silver said Thursday on the Silver Bulletin, his Substack account.
