Judge's Daughter Linked to Democrats Raising $93 Million Amid Trump Trial, Recusal Calls Intensify

The daughter of the judge presiding over Donald Trump’s New York hush-money trial has two significant Democratic clients who have raised over $93 million in campaign donations by fundraising off the criminal case. These clients, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and the Senate Majority PAC, are clients of Authentic Campaigns, a Chicago-based progressive political consulting firm where Loren Merchan, the daughter of Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, is president.
In August, Merchan rejected Trump's first recusal motion, but Trump spokesman Steven Chung says the evidence of bias is even clearer now, telling the New York Post, "Authentic Campaigns, and thus the judge’s daughter, is actively making money from this sham attack against President Trump, rendering Judge Merchan conflicted out."
Adam Schiff’s Senate campaign has garnered a staggering $20 million in donations since it started seeking contributions based on Trump’s 34-count indictment last April, per Federal Election Commission records.

Poll: Trump Better Than Biden in Nuke Crisis

In a recent poll conducted by J.L. Partners and reported by the Daily Mail, former President Donald Trump was favored over President Joe Biden in several key areas, including remembering the names of key staff, making it through a one-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and handling a nuclear crisis.
This poll, which surveyed 1,005 likely voters, found that 56% expressed confidence in Trump's ability to make critical decisions during a nuclear emergency, compared to 45% for Biden. Additionally, Trump was preferred by 65%, over Biden's 43%, when it came to the hypothetical scenario of a meeting with Putin.
Trump also appeared to have an edge in more personal competencies, such as remembering the names of key staff and world leaders, as well as absorbing the details of national security briefings. Notably, the poll revealed a significant divide in perceptions among independent voters, with only 37% believing Biden could effectively manage a one-hour meeting with Putin.

Pompeo: Biden 'Letting the Inmates Run the Asylum'

President Joe Biden's border policies are not only "deeply dangerous," according to former Trump administration Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, but they abdicate federal duty to protect the homeland.
"Now the capacity to influence our election and who governs our country, this is the classic case of letting the inmates run the asylum and that is deeply dangerous for our country," Pompeo, the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, told Sunday's "The Cats Roundtable" on WABC 770 AM-N.Y.
The open border makes Pompeo fear the inevitability of thinking "Is this going to be the day we're going to have a really bad day?" mentioning 9/11 terrorist attacks as having left America vulnerable once again.
"We are incentivizing bad actors to put their worst characters at our southern border," Pompeo told host John Catsimatidis in an interview earlier this week, noting the criminal influx "brings all the drugs, all the weapons, bring all the crime."

Sen. Blackburn: Mayorkas Impeachment Block Should Anger Everyone

Americans should be "incensed" by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's wish to shelf articles of impeachment approved in the House against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Sen. Marsha Blackburn said Sunday.
"What we’re hearing is for the first time ever in our nation’s history, Chuck Schumer is wanting to table the impeachment articles," the Tennessee Republican said on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.”
Under Mayorkas and President Joe Biden's watch, nearly 10 million immigrants have entered the United States illegally, Blackburn said.
"Alejandro Mayorkas has lied to Congress," she said.
"He has repeatedly said that the border is closed. It is not. He is doing Joe Biden's bidding on this."
And as all states are affected by immigration, Mayorkas should stand for his impeachment trial as instructed by the Constitution, said Blackburn.

myThe White House iThe White House is under fire after declaring Easter Sunday as "Transgender Visibility Day." It is a direct attack on the holiest day in the Christian faith.
The Biden Administration also failed to post a proclamation about Good Friday.
And they banned children from decorating White House Easter Eggs with religious images. As I wrote in my new book, "Twilight's Last Gleaming," I truly believe the Democrats hate Jesus Christ.
"I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity," President Biden declared in the proclamation. "Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved.You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back."
The Trump campaign issued a blistering condemnation of President Biden's decision to turn Easter Sunday into a holiday honoring transgender people. The White House also drew fire over a decision to ban the children of National Guard members from creating Easter Eggs that included religious artwork.
“It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art Event, and declared Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility,'" Trump National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told The Todd Starnes Show.

Trump: Halt 'These Biden Trials' During Campaign

Continuing his rebuke of the "election interference" of the Biden administration's Justice Department and anti-Trump prosecutors in Democrat-controlled districts of New York; Washington, D.C.; and Fulton County, Georgia, former President Donald Trump coined a new term for his campaign messaging: the "Biden Trials."
"These Biden Trials, none of them, should be allowed to take place during my campaign," Trump wrote Saturday morning on Truth Social. "They're all Rigged and Political. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!"
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has been ramping up his rebukes of President Joe Biden's alleged ties to seek prosecutions of his chief political rival. Trump has long rebuked Democrats' "witch hunt" actions against him since winning the 2016 presidential election, and his new term the "Biden Trials" evokes a suggestion of the Salem witch trials.

AT&T announced Saturday that personal information belonging to its former and current customers, some 73 million people, has been compromised on the dark web.
Among the personal information that is now out there on the unregulated dark web includes social security numbers, according to a press release by the major telecommunications provider. AT&T stated that it still unsure if the data breach occurred on its end or from one of its vendors, but noted it occurred approximately two weeks ago.

Trump Appeals to Remove Fani Willis from Case, Cites Controversial 'Church Speech'

On Friday, Donald Trump’s legal team filed an appeal aimed at reversing a decision by a Fulton County judge in Georgia, permitting District Attorney Fani Willis to continue prosecuting the criminal racketeering case against the former president and eight co-defendants.
The 51-page motion submitted to Georgia Court of Appeals argues for clarity on the issue of “forensic misconduct,” under Georgia law that requires disqualification for certain acts of prosecutors. The appeal asserts that the trial judge, Scott McAfee, erred in not finding an actual conflict of interest. This argument hinges on Willis’ concealment of her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. The appeal contends that this relationship, coupled with Willis’ conduct and statements, has tainted the case with bias and impropriety.
Specifically, the appeal criticizes a speech by Willis, dubbed the “church speech,” a 35-minute address before the Big Bethel AME Church, where she injected racial bias into the case and implied divine favor in her prosecution efforts. The filing argues,

Gallup: Immigration, 'Poor Leadership' Top Issues for Americans

The bad news just keeps piling up for those involved with President Biden's reelection campaign. In the latest blow, Gallop has released polling results on issues Americans name as most important, and it's something of an understatement to note that these are issues that aren't exactly Joe Biden's strong points.
Amid the heightened numbers of migrants entering the United States at the Southern border and discord in the Middle East, Americans have grown more anxious about immigration and terrorism over the past year. At the same time, with the inflation rate down from 2023, public concern about that issue has eased. Nevertheless, more Americans still say they worry about inflation than any of 13 other issues rated in the new survey.
Gallup finds a slightly different rank-order of concerns with its “most important problem facing this country" question. For the second straight month, immigration leads Americans’ unprompted answers about what most ails the nation, with inflation also figuring prominently.
Gallup, in this report, first focuses on answers to this question:
Next, I’m going to read a list of problems facing the country. For each one, please tell me if you personally worry about this problem a great deal, a fair amount, only a little or not at all?
This is a "prompted" question, and the results are interesting; "inflation," "crime and violence," "hunger and homelessness," and "the economy" are the top four. That isn't surprising, as those are issues that have been, let's say, not developing in favor of the incumbent.

As we reported, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer invited Joe Biden to testify in the impeachment inquiry. "Biden must answer questions about his participation in his family’s pay-for-influence schemes," Comer declared.

Among the things the letter said was that Biden had denied involvement, but they had evidence to the contrary and that the White House was also refusing to turn over certain information or let witnesses testify, which Comer termed "obstruction" -- which could raise more impeachment potential issues. White House Counsel spokesperson Iam Sams wrote an unprofessional and ridiculous response to Comer, when Comer first mentioned that he would be sending out an invitation.

Special Counsel Jack Smith's efforts to imprison Donald Trump for mishandling classified documents have hit a few snags recently, and the latest snag is, indeed, a big one.
"Special Counsel Jack Smith could be blocked from using evidence against Donald Trump contained in grand jury investigation files, which were transferred to the former president's Florida classified documents case this week, a former prosecutor has suggested," reports Newsweek. "In 2023, a grand jury in Washington, D.C., heard evidence from witnesses—including Trump's attorney, Evan Corcoran—while considering whether charges should be brought against the former president and others for hoarding classified documents. However, Trump and his co-accused were later indicted in Florida and, under federal rules, the grand jury files were transferred on Monday to Trump-appointed judge, Aileen Cannon's court."
According to former prosecutor Bill Shipley, the transfer of the case from D.C. to Florida gives Judge Cannon control over what evidence can be included—especially testimony that may have violated attorney-client privilege.

House lawmakers asked President Biden on Thursday to testify at a public hearing next month about his involvement in a string of family business deals that witnesses say he helped secure by wielding his powerful position.
The request, which Mr. Biden is almost certain to reject, is the culmination of a monthslong impeachment inquiry into the president that investigators say yielded evidence that Mr. Biden engaged in influence-peddling schemes with his brother, son and a handful of business associates dating back to his vice presidency.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer, Kentucky Republican, sent the invite to Mr. Biden in a letter that outlined witness testimony and bank records that he suspects connect Mr. Biden’s actions with $24 million in profits secured by family members and associates from Russia, China, Ukraine and other countries.
Mr. Comer proposed the president provide his public testimony on April 16.

Former United States Attorney Brett Tolman said on Thursday that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ RICO case against former President Donald Trump was “weak” because the defendants sought to challenge the election through the court system.
A grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, handed down indictments on Aug. 14, charging Trump and other associates over Trump’s efforts to contest the 2020 election results in that state. Tolman told “America’s Newsroom” co-hosts Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer that the “pattern” of allegedly “criminal behavior” that prosecutors were citing in the case as “racketeering” was what actually hurt the case. “I found it fascinating that the county attorney, you may have heard him make reference to the pattern, the pattern is the part of the racketeering charge, a pattern of corruption or criminal activity that has to be presented,” Tolman said. “And he is throwing that in because the indictment itself is incredibly weak in terms of its treatment of a pattern of criminal behavior.”
Willis claimed that Trump and others “made false statements concerning fraud in the November 3, 2020, presidential election” and included efforts to sway then-Vice President Mike Pence, officials in the Justice Department and state officials as the basis for criminal charges in the indictment.

As invitations go, this one may not be all that welcomed by its recipient: House Oversight Chairman James Comer has issued a letter to President Joe Biden inviting him to testify before the committee. The letter notes the committee is open to accommodating the president's schedule but suggests a hearing date of April 16.

Here's When Impeachment Articles Against Mayorkas Will Be Presented to the Senate

On Thursday, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and the 11 House impeachment managers revealed in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) the date that they will send the articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro to the upper chamber. The date in question is April 10, which comes as the chamber returns from the Easter recess and almost two months after the House voted to impeach Mayorkas on February 13.
"We urge you to schedule a trial of the matter expeditiously," the letter mentions, as it lays out the details of the evidence against Mayorkas for "his willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law and his breach of the public trust." As the letter adds, [t]he evidence on both charges is clear, comprehensive, and compelling..."
The last two paragraphs of the letter also lay out the constitutional duty that the Senate has here:
The constitutional grounds for Secretary Mayorkas’ conviction and removal from office are well-founded, and the historical record is clear. The Framers of our Constitution gave Congress this authority for scenarios where executive branch officials, who are responsible for executing the laws passed by Congress, flout the law substituting their own judgment for that of Congress.
We call upon you to fulfill your constitutional obligation to hold this trial. The American people demand a secure border, an end to this crisis, and accountability for those responsible. To table articles of impeachment without ever hearing a single argument or reviewing a piece of evidence would be a violation of our constitutional order and an affront to the American people whom we all serve.

Obama Has 'Grave Concern' Biden Will Lose, Is Ready to Intervene

Despite mail-in voting and ballot harvesting and a host of other perfectly legal ways to tilt the playing field, could Old Joe Biden actually lose in November? If a Tuesday New York Times story is to be believed, the answer is a resounding yes, and among the most worried is the senescent corruptocrat’s old friend and mentor, Barack Obama.
“Old friend and mentor,” as is well known, is largely an image manufactured for public consumption. Obama has actually taken the measure of his aged former wingman, and has famously warned: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.” If the Times story is accurate, and not just another signal that the Democrat establishment is ready to send Biden to a much-needed retirement, Obama is deeply worried that Old Joe is going to demonstrate his remarkable ability to mess things up in the coming rematch with Trump, and is ready to step in and lend his expertise to the cause of inflicting Biden on America for four more years.
Biden’s ability to ruin everything has been on abundant display over the last three-plus years, and so, the Times says, Obama has been having frequent phone conversations with White House chief of staff Jeffrey D. Zients, “to strategize and relay advice.” These calls, the Times insists, demonstrate “Mr. Obama’s support for Mr. Biden,” but the Paper of Record concedes that they also indicate Obama’s “grave concern that Mr. Biden could lose to former President Donald J. Trump.” This unnamed aide says that this is nothing new: Obama has “always” feared that Old Joe might pull his biggest bungling act in the upcoming election. The aide added Obama is ready to do what he can to help the bungler “eke it out” in several swing states.

Ship That Collapsed Baltimore Bridge Was Carrying Hazardous Materials, Officials Say

The cargo ship that caused the Baltimore bridge collapse was carrying hazardous materials, the National Transportation Safety Board said.
NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said there are 56 containers aboard containing hazardous materials, including corrosives, flammables and lithium ion batteries. She said some containers were breached and a sheen was identified in the water that will be dealt with by authorities. She said the voyage data recorder has been recovered.
Homendy said the investigation could take 12 to 24 months but that the NTSB will not hesitate to issue urgent safety recommendations during that time. She said a preliminary report should be released in two to four weeks.

IDF Claims Up to 1,000 Terrorists Hiding in Gaza Hospital

The Israel Defense Forces' Military Intelligence Directorate on Tuesday released footage of captured Palestinian terrorists admitting to interrogators that 600 to 1,000 Hamas operatives have been hiding out in Gaza City's Shifa Hospital.
The detainees, identified as Nabeel Rajab Abed Shteivi and Bakr Ahmed Bakr Qanita, were captured during an IDF operation at Shifa launched last week in an attempt to root out a resurgent Hamas presence in the compound, which Israeli forces first captured in mid-November.
"Shifa, or schools and places like that, are our shelters," says Shteivi, who worked on producing missiles for Palestinian Islamic Jihad. He notes that Hamas controls all of Shifa's buildings, and has a vast presence in the specialist departments.
"You might see someone who doesn't look like a nurse but is dressed in a nurse's uniform," the PIJ terrorist explains.

RMG Poll: Americans Support Israel Over Hamas

Americans of all political persuasions are more opposed to Israel agreeing to a peace deal with Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA) than they were early on in the Gaza war, according to a new RMG Research/Gideon 300 survey.
That, despite the Biden administration attempting to pressure Israel into an agreement.
Israel decried and Hamas praised an abstention by the U.S. from a U.N. Security Council vote Monday that called for a cease-fire without demanding the release of the remaining hostages.
Only 30% of U.S. voters say they support a peace deal with the PA, with a mere 10% strongly favoring such a pact, the RMG Research/Gideon 300 poll found.
Initially following Hamas' Oct. 7 attack and massacre in Israel and the Israeli counterattack into Gaza, 55% of voters — including 27% strongly in favor — said they favored Israel agreeing to the peace deal with the terrorists.

AP Poll: Republicans More Enthusiastic for Trump Than Dems for Biden

Many Americans are unenthusiastic about a November rematch of the 2020 presidential election. But presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump appears to stoke more anger and fear among Democrats than President Joe Biden does from Republicans.
A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that Democrats are more likely to report feeling "fearful" or "angry" about the prospects of another Trump term than Republicans are about the idea of Biden remaining in the White House.
The emotional reaction Trump inspires might work in his favor too, though, since the poll also found Republicans are more excited about the prospect of a Trump win than Democrats are about a Biden victory.

Former President Barack Obama is becoming more prepared to "eke it out" with President Joe Biden as concerns grow that the White House could be lost to former President Donald Trump, according to a White House source.
Biden has been making regular calls to Obama, but the former president has also been discussing strategy and giving advice through calls to White House chief of staff Jeff Zients and top Biden campaign officials, an aide, who was not authorized to speak publicly, told The New York Times, the publication reported Wednesday.
Biden and Obama, along with former President Bill Clinton, are to appear together at New York's Radio City Music Hall for a major fundraising event Thursday night, while the aide commented that Obama has "always" been worried that his former vice president could lose to Trump.

Trump Targets DA and Judge, Reviving His 'Stop the Steal' Slogan

Former President Donald Trump, who never lets a good slogan go to waste, on Tuesday reprised "Stop the Steal," which he and his supporters used while contesting the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Several "Stop the Steal" rallies were held by Trump supporters after that election, which Trump claims he lost because of rampant voter fraud. One rally occurred on Jan. 6, 2021, in Washington, D.C., before the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
In a Truth Social post Tuesday, Trump renewed claims that Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was pressured by Biden administration officials to take to trial a case that accuses the former president of falsifying business records to cover for a hush-money payment made by his former attorney Michael Cohen to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Trump noted Bragg's appointment of Matthew Colangelo, a former senior official in Biden's Department of Justice, as an assistant district attorney. Colangelo also helped Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James' prosecution of Trump in a civil fraud trial of which Trump is appealing a $464.4 million penalty.
Trump also renewed his call for Judge Juan Merchan to recuse himself from the hush-money case because, like Bragg, he is beholden to Democrats.

Former President Donald Trump has entered Bloomberg’s list of top 500 global billionaires after his stake in Truth Social was valued at nearly $4 billion.
Truth Social parent company Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) went public following its merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC). It will trade under the ticker symbol DJT on NASDAQ starting Tuesday. President Trump holds 78.75 million shares in the entity. DWAC closed Monday at $49.95, which makes the former president’s stake in the merged company worth $3.9 billion. According to Bloomberg, the deal pushes President Trump’s net worth to $6.5 billion, enabling him to join the list of wealthiest 500 people in the world on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
President Trump’s assets are spread across a wide variety of liquid and illiquid instruments. In a March 22 Truth Social post, the former president said he currently has almost $500 million in cash.
A Reuters analysis of court filings and federal financial disclosures showed that President Trump reported at least $537 million in revenues in 2022 from hotels and golf courses; $61.1 million from his stake in buildings; $30.4 million in royalties and licensing fees; and $26.5 million in managing fees. His Washington hotel netted him $268.7 million that year, including a profit made through selling a property.
President Trump’s properties were valued at $4.3 billion, the outlet said citing a June 2021 financial statement. Total loans and liabilities from the properties came in at $439.2 million.
President Trump’s net worth increase comes as he has to fulfill a multi-million bond requirement in the New York civil case that accuses him of inflating the value of his assets. He was initially required to pay $464 million.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been granted a temporary reprieve by the High Court in London to appeal his extradition as U.S. authorities must give assurances that he will not face the death penalty.
On Tuesday, Mr. Assange found that he faces a further wait to discover whether his final bid to appeal over his extradition can go ahead.
In a judgment on Tuesday, Dame Victoria Sharp and Mr. Justice Johnson dismissed most of Mr. Assange’s legal arguments, but said that unless assurances are given by the United States he would be able to bring an appeal on three grounds.
Reacting to the news on Tuesday, WikiLeaks posted on social media platform X that Mr. Assange may still be extradited.
“Julian Assange may still be extradited to the US in three weeks if U.S Government provides ‘assurances,’ previously deemed by Amnesty as ‘inherently unreliable’ - including that he will not be prejudiced at trial by reason of his nationality and not receive the death penalty,”
WikiLeaks wrote.
Mr. Assange’s family and supporters say his physical and mental health have suffered during more than a decade of legal battles, including seven years in self-exile in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London and the last five years in the high-security prison Belmarsh on the outskirts of London.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan are threatening to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt for ongoing stonewalling of information revealed in testimony given by former Special Counsel Robert Hur.
"The Committees are specifically seeking the audio recordings of Special Counsel Hur's interviews with President Biden and the transcript and audio recordings of Special Counsel Hur's interviews with Mark Zwonitzer, President Biden's ghostwriter. If DOJ continues to withhold additional material responsive to the Committees' subpoenas, the Committees will consider taking further action, such as the invocation of contempt of Congress proceedings," Comer and Jordan released in a statement.

Donald Trump will be the Republican Party’s nominee for President of the United States. This is truly remarkable. Fighting forceful headwinds, Trump was able to gain the support of his party. According to the polls, if the election was held today, he would easily win.
He says he wants to restore America toward a more balanced conservative position. Most of his views seem to resonate with the public.
We can recall what America was like during the Trump years. Despite very forceful headwinds caused by the opposing political party, Trump was able to implement policies that resulted in America prospering and feeling secure.

As a child my mother always said to me, “you have to take the good, with the bad.”
In the case of Donald Trump, the good for America far outweighs any personal bad.
I believe history will record Trump as an incredible man. Against all odds he prevailed. It turned out that what he accomplished was exactly what America needed. The inflation problem went away, Americans felt more secure, and prosperity returned.
And, indeed, that is incredible.

President Joe Biden is a slave to China and a weak commander-in-chief who has close ties to the Communist Chinese Party. China has also played a heavy-handed role in the Biden crime family’s multi-million dollar business venture, according to documents released by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY).
With all that being said, a Chinese Communist advisor is sounding the alarm that if former President Trump is elected president in November, it could provoke a “confrontation.”
Jia Qingguo, a member of the committee of the Chinese People’s Political and Consultative Conference (CPPCC), warned that Trump’s approach is harsher toward foreign countries than Biden's, saying that the Democrat would be better for Beijing.
“A Trump victory would have a relatively big impact on U.S.–China ties. Judging from his behavior during his first term and subsequent statements, his attitude and approach toward China are tougher and more unrestrained than Biden’s,” Qingguo said.

The Monday deadline for former President Trump to pay his $464 million bond or risk having his assets seized in the corrupt city of New York ticks.
However, reports admit that it won’t be as easy as New York Attorney General Letitia James just showing up and expecting the former president to hand over the keys to his properties.
According to New York real estate attorneys, the process of taking over an individual’s assets is slow and taxing when the properties are comprised of several different ownership and titles, mortgages, and co-ownership claims.
James’ is subject to run into several different obstacles when acquiring the properties from Trump should he miss the deadline to pay the multi-million dollar bond.
