The Best Way to Learn Gun Safety Is With Real Guns
Wielding force is nothing compared with the power of controlling, disciplining and managing it.

Recently I found a fascinating remnant of America’s long relationship with guns: a 1956 Life magazine photo essay about a conservation officer teaching firearm safety at an Indiana elementary school. The officer shows the kids his service revolver, a shotgun and a high-powered rifle. He lets 7-year-olds handle the guns, draw their bolt actions, feel their heft compared with the plastic toys they have at home. The kids’ awe and excitement sets their faces alight.

Josie Orihuela of Hampton Middle School near Atlanta began recording on her phone when sixth-grade teacher Johnetta Benton began reaming out the president.
"When my president says let's Make America Great Again, when was he talking about?" Benton is heard asking, and later adding that Trump must mean when "[America] was great for Europeans."
"Because," Benton continues, "when it comes to minorities, America has never been great for minorities."
Huntsman said the incident happened at the same high school where another teacher requested students write letters to their lawmakers demanding gun control.

When I spoke at the Patriot Movement Arizona rally in early March, I heard a lot of people say “Make California America Again.” A former Navy seal who later ran for Congress made the same joke to me when he was out of state. “I’m not in California right now. I’m in America.”
Those comments really incensed me, though. Four and a half million Californians voted for Trump in 2016. Even though the state legislature has gone full-tilt communist, Californians up and down the state are rising up against the state legislature, which has become destructive to the ends for which governments are instituted among men. The media won’t cover these restorative trends emerging throughout the state, so here goes. Entire counties in North State (Siskiyou, Tehama, Shasta, and El Dorado) have resolutely refused to comply with California’s sanctuary state insanity. Kern County has also joined that list.

Gov. Rick Snyder, R-Mich., activated the state’s Emergency Operations Center this week in anticipation for China's Tiangong-1 space station to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere this weekend. (Fraunhofer Institute FHR via AP)
The state of Michigan is on alert for a possible space debris landing as an out-of-control Chinese space station is set to make landfall sometime in the next few days.
Gov. Rick Snyder, R-Mich., activated the state’s Emergency Operations Center this week in anticipation for China's Tiangong-1 space station to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere this weekend, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The Aerospace Corporation said the 8.5 ton space station has the potential to hit the southern lower peninsula of Michigan, although it is unlikely. The space debris may contain hydrazine, a highly toxic and corrosive substance and anyone who comes in contact with it is asked to stay away and call 911.

Six ladies huddled over a lunch table in the MGM studio canteen in 1938. Five of them remain Hollywood legends eight decades later: Rosalind Russell, Jeanette MacDonald, Myrna Loy, Maureen O’Sullivan and Norma Shearer. The sixth was an unremarkable older woman with bobbed gray hair.
“And yet she happens to be one of the most powerful personages in the entire motion-picture industry,” wrote gossip columnist Jimmie Fidler. “When she pulls the strings, world-famous stars dance, like puppets.”
She was Ida Koverman, second-in-command to studio head Louis B. Mayer, the invisible power behind the throne who kept his 6,000-employee operation humming. “To all intents and purposes, she ran MGM,” said reporter Hedda Hopper.

Don't be alarmed by Russia's decision on Thursday to expel 60 U.S. diplomats and shutter the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg.
While the Russian government's resident troll and foreign minister Sergey Lavrov says the expulsions are a response to "the absolutely unacceptable actions" of the U.S. and Britain in organizing an international expulsion of Russian intelligence officers, the truth is that the Russians are nervous.
They're nervous because while the Kremlin expected they would receive some response to their poisoning of British intelligence agent, Sergei Skripal, and his daughter, they didn't expect the international pressure that has followed.

Russia announces second test of ballistic missile
Russia tested its new intercontinental ballistic missile for the second time. Benjamin Hall reports from London.
A new intercontinental ballistic missile hailed by Russian President Vladimir Putin as being able to fly over the North or South Poles and strike any target in the world reportedly was test-launched for the second time Friday.
Russia’s defense ministry released a video purportedly showing the Sarmat ICBM blasting off in spectacular fashion from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in its northern Arkhangelsk province, the move coming just hours after the Kremlin announced it would expel 60 American diplomats and close the U.S. consulate in St. Petersburg in retaliation for U.S. measures taken in response to the poisoning of an ex-Russian spy and his daughter in Britain.
The video shows the missile – dubbed “Satan 2” by NATO -- rising out of the ground and seemingly floating in the air for a brief moment before more flames erupt, kicking up massive clouds of smoke and snow.

CHINA has spoken out regarding the eight-tonne satellite that is set to crash back to earth over the Easter weekend saying it will resemble a “splendid meteor shower.”

A DEFUNCT space laboratory that will plunge back to Earth in the coming days is unlikely to cause any damage, Chinese authorities say, but will offer instead a “splendid” show akin to a meteor shower.
China’s space agency said that the roughly eight-tonne Tiangong-1 will re-enter the atmosphere some time between Saturday and Monday. The European Space Agency has a smaller window between midday Saturday and early Sunday afternoon GMT time.
But there is “no need for people to worry”, the China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMSEO) said on its WeChat social media account.
Such falling spacecraft do “not crash into the Earth fiercely like in sci-fi movies, but turn into a splendid (meteor shower) and move across the beautiful starry sky as they race towards the Earth”, it said.

Trump's NSC pick hit as warmonger.
The absurd and exaggerated outrage by Democrats and some in the media over President Trump’s selection of former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton to become his next national security adviser has reached ridiculous proportions. This prompted Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to engage in a bit of wry humor Thursday on meeting Bolton.
“It’s good to finally meet you,” Mattis joked when Bolton arrived to see him at the Pentagon. “I heard that you’re actually the devil incarnate and I wanted to meet you.”
Mattis was clearly kidding. Unfortunately, former President Jimmy Carter wasn’t when he launched a hyperbolic attack on Bolton earlier this week.
In an interview with “CBS This Morning,” President Carter said: “I think his (President Trump’s) last choice for national security adviser was very ill-advised. I think John Bolton has been the worst mistake he's made."
Well, at least President Carter is consistent. He’s been consistently wrong time and time again over the decades, and he seems determined to keep his record of misjudgments intact.

During an exchange with Fox News' Sean Hannity on Wednesday, the California Republican said investigations into alleged bias in the U.S. government and possible abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act could place some Democrats in jeopardy.
"The Left has continued to say this is Watergate and Trump's going to be impeached," Nunes said, riffing off Hannity's misgivings with Trump's opponents who believe his campaign colluded with the Russians during the 2016 campaign and that Trump may have obstructed justice — two matters being looked at by special counsel Robert Mueller.

The mysterious meeting Kim Jong Un was summoned to in Beijing this week likely saw China's president remind the North Korean dictator who his real patron is ahead of talks with the U.S., according to experts.
Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, made a surprise visit to Beijing on Monday, arriving on a mysterious green train that sparked rumors the North Korean first family was in China. The trip was planned in the weeks after President Trump announced he had accepted the despot’s invitation to meet by May, Yun Sun, who runs the East Asia program and the China Program at the Stimson Center, told Fox News.

Former President, and still reigning narcissist-in-chief, Barack Obama, discussed his future plans at a conference in Japan which included a vision to create “a million young Barack Obamas.”
Listen – America barely survived one Barack Obama. We don’t need a million more.
“If I could do that effectively, then — you know — I would create a hundred or a thousand or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas,” Obama said to what we presume were horrified onlookers. “Or, the next group of people who could take that baton in that relay race that is human progress.”

Monday’s coordinated Euro-American action against Russia may signal the end of an era: Goodbye, empty UN blather, hello again, coalitions of the willing.
And welcome to John Bolton, President Trump’s soon-to-be national security adviser. Caricatures of his “unilateralism” aside, Bolton is a big proponent of coordinated action among allies, like this week’s bright display of solidarity with Britain.
Trump announced the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats Monday and closure of the Russian consulate in Seattle on suspicion of espionage activities there. It was the most significant diplomatic retaliation to date for Russia’s chemical attack in Britain and the assassination attempt on former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.
America wasn’t alone — 21 countries, including France and Germany, as well as former Soviet satellites Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, expelled a handful of Russian diplomats each on Monday. All told, more than 100 Russian diplomats were told to leave world capitals in one day.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said Tuesday that Facebook founder Mark "Universal Income" Zuckerberg should testify before Congress over its recent privacy scandal, comparing Facebook and other social media companies to a "peeping Tom."
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) confirmed Monday it's opening an investigation into the social media giant's privacy practices amid Facebook's controversy with consulting firm Cambridge Analytica, which may have misused the data of nearly 50 million users to influence the 2016 election.
"When you look at what the search engines and the social media companies are doing with your information, that is the equivalent of a peeping Tom," Blackburn said, adding Zuckerberg made billions by selling Americans' data from Facebook.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said Tuesday that Facebook founder Mark "Universal Income" Zuckerberg should testify before Congress over its recent privacy scandal, comparing Facebook and other social media companies to a "peeping Tom."
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) confirmed Monday it's opening an investigation into the social media giant's privacy practices amid Facebook's controversy with consulting firm Cambridge Analytica, which may have misused the data of nearly 50 million users to influence the 2016 election.
"When you look at what the search engines and the social media companies are doing with your information, that is the equivalent of a peeping Tom," Blackburn said, adding Zuckerberg made billions by selling Americans' data from Facebook.

THE Australian government has confirmed it will expel two Russian officials from the embassy over the poisoning of a former spy on British soil.
In a joint statement released today Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said the diplomats will be expelled for actions inconsistent with their status.
The diplomats identified as “undeclared intelligence officers” have been given seven days to leave Australia.
“This decision reflects the shocking nature of the attack — the first offensive use of chemical weapons in Europe since World War II, involving a highly lethal substance in a populated area, endangering countless other members of the community,” the statement said.

The Trump administration announced Monday it will expel dozens of Russian diplomats from the United States in retaliation for the poisoning of a former Russian spy living in the United Kingdom.
U.S. officials say 48 Russians stationed at posts around the country, including the embassy in Washington, and 12 at the Russian mission to the United Nations in New York face banishment for conducting intelligence activities under diplomatic cover that undermine national security.
The officials are being given seven days to leave the country, a senior administration official said.

On the same day Facebook bought ads in US and British newspapers to apologize for the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the social media site faced new questions about collecting phone numbers and text messages from Android devices.
The website Ars Technica reported that users who checked data gathered by Facebook on them found that it had years of contact names, telephone numbers, call lengths and text messages.
Facebook said Sunday the information is uploaded to secure servers and comes only from Android users who opt in to allow it. Spokeswomen say the data is not sold or shared with users’ friends or outside apps. They say the data is used “to improve people’s experience across Facebook” by helping to connect with others.

When it was announced Friday evening that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had been fired on the recommendation of both the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General and the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility, there were plenty of “hot takes” from politicians and media figures on both the right and left.
However, according to BizPac Review, the hottest take of all in regard to McCabe’s termination may have come from one of the heroes who emerged from the deadly 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack, Kris “Tanto” Paronto.

Paronto, a former U.S. Army Ranger who was a security contractor in Benghazi at the time of the attack and helped fend off repeated waves of assaults by terrorists at the U.S. consulate and nearby CIA annex, took to Twitter to make his feelings known in regard to McCabe, as well as former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan.
He began with a tweet which eviscerated McCabe’s rebuttal claiming he had been “singled out” in an effort to “slander” him and the FBI in general by President Donald Trump and his administration.
Paronto tweeted, “Slander the FBI and Law Enforcement?! You’ve got to be s—-ing me Andy. You, James and your @BarackObama appointed syndicate brought nothing but lies, politics, corruption & disgrace to a once great FBI. @Comey #AndrewMcCabe #LockThemUp.”
